00:04It put Australia's space industry on the map.
00:08Three NASA rockets fired from the remote Northern Territory.
00:12But four years on, a failure to launch.
00:16It has been really disappointing to see that vision and that promise
00:20that the organisation had not be fully realised over these past few years.
00:26The company behind the launches, Equatorial Launch Australia,
00:30and its boss, Michael Jones, facing serious legal troubles behind the scenes.
00:36Accused of contractual breaches by former Chief Executive Carly Scott.
00:41The company refused to honour Ms Scott's contractual entitlements
00:45and we've spent years in the federal court fighting for what was owed.
00:49On June 19, the federal court ruled Ms Scott is owed $2.3 million.
00:55By her former company that had made claims against her
00:59of fabricated evidence and misconduct.
01:02Accusations the judge rejected.
01:05The judgment is really a complete vindication of our client Carly Scott.
01:10And, you know, really a testament to her resilience
01:13through many years of complex and hard-fought litigation.
01:19Equatorial Launch Australia fell into liquidation earlier this year,
01:23making it unclear if Ms Scott will ever recoup the money owed to her.
01:28Being able to see any of that money or not, we'll see what comes of it.
01:32But really the ability to stand up for what was to me exceptionally important
01:36in saying these allegations need to be resoundingly rejected,
01:39and they have been, was the core.
01:41I'll hold on to that.
01:42It's not just Ms Scott owed money, with the NT government
01:46still chasing its investment into the firm of $5 million,
01:50hoping it's not just gone up in smoke.
01:53It's not just that Mr resource to come to Bit of
01:54It's definitely lacking than me.
01:55It'sобще stated.
01:55How my mind can't help?
