00:14as emergency teams intensified recovery efforts following two devastating earthquakes
00:18that left 920 people dead and more than 3,360 people injured.

00:37Iran condemned the destruction of various areas of the country as a result of the United States violation of the
00:44Memorandum of Understanding.
00:54Hello and welcome to From the South. My name is Pablo Michelillo from the Telesur Studios in Caracas, Venezuela.
00:59We begin with the news. Stay with us.
01:14In a late-at-night operational balance from the Central Command in La Guayra, Venezuela, Nathem President El C. Rodriguez,
01:21reviewed the rescue operations on the way to save as many lives as possible with international rescue crews from several
01:28countries expanding its efforts.
01:30In this sense, Rodriguez stated that of the seven states across the country that are facing terrible aftermath from the
01:36twin earthquakes,
01:37the worst of the tragedy is concentrated in La Guayra, where saving lives within the vital 72-hour window remains
01:45the absolute priority.
01:46International aid is expanding rapidly with 10 more nations en route.
01:51The Apten President said the electricity grid recovery has reached 60%, while over 14,000 military and police personnel have
01:59militarized and restricted access to La Guayra to secure the zone and enforce critical sanitary precautions.
02:06Moreover, emergency shelters are fully operational and the public is urged to report missing loved ones using the 0800 rescue
02:15hotline.
02:15So far, there are 920 people dead and more than 3,360 people injured.
02:29They have spent the entire day focusing their efforts on each specific need to continue restoring electrical service.
02:39As of today we have already achieved a 60% restoration rate.
02:46And by tomorrow we should make much more progress once we are able to recover the power tower that fell
02:52on La Guayra mountain.
02:56As for water, we have also ramped up the distribution of water and food to ensure that there is no
03:02need we are not addressing, no matter how painful it may be.
03:08And most importantly, and most strategically, as we have said from the very beginning, is the process of rescuing those
03:15who are still alive.
03:17Venezuela said the president monitored rescue and salvaged efforts in the municipality of Chacao.
03:23To assess the progress of rescue and rubble clearance efforts in the Mirandino municipality of Chacao, the president traveled to
03:30the area of Caracas and expected the response to the damage caused by the double earthquake.
03:36As part of this effort, Rodriguez visited affected areas in the Altamira and Los Palos, Grandes Sectors.
03:42In these areas, a joint effort is on the way involving civil protection personnel, firefighters, the Bolivarian National Army Force
03:49and volunteers.
03:51It is worth noting that the team deployed in the area is equipped with heavy duty machinery and is carrying
03:57out damage assessment procedures, providing assistance to the population and removing rubble.
04:11We continue in Venezuela, where in the state of Aragua, five departments and civil protection agencies are organizing to assist
04:19and rescue efforts for those affected by the earthquake.
04:22According to reports, an 11-story building located in the Bosque Lindo neighborhood suffered a structural collapse, affecting at least
04:29five families who lived there.
04:31According to the latest report, a 19-year-old woman was rescued while the deaths of three people were reported.
04:39Authorities continued their efforts to determine the number of survivors and proceed with their rescue, as well as the recovery
04:47of any possible bodies.
04:57And search efforts continued in Falcons State in northwest Venezuela, following the reports of people trapped by collapsed homes.
05:04A secretary of police safety for Falcons State, Miguel Morales Miranda, reported the death of a citizen identified as Alejandro
05:12Ure, who was trapped in one of the homes.
05:15For his part, the governor of Falcons State, Virto Clark, noted that two cacas and the town of Boca de
05:21Arroa were the most affected by the double earthquake.
05:24According to reports from the state government, at least 35 people were injured, 15 are missing, and another four lost
05:32their lives.
05:40A critical relief convoy has been dispatched to the hard-hit state of La Guayra as emergency teams intensify recovery
05:47efforts following two devastating earthquakes.
05:49The national government has mobilized heavy machinery to accelerate rover clearance across the worst affected disaster zones.
05:58Alongside the specialized crew equipment, massive shipments of vital supplies, medical provisions, and hydration kits are arriving to support active
06:07search and rescue operations.
06:09Authorities state that the newly deployed resources are crucial to clearing blocked transit routes and reaching trapped survivors.
06:25The Venezuelan government, under acting President Alcero Rodríguez, has set up a registration center at the Polyedro in Caracas to
06:33channel the people's solidarity with La Guayra in an orderly manner.
06:37Civilian volunteers will be able to register and will receive QR code ID cards assigned according to their technical skills,
06:45thus ensuring that A reaches its destination effectively and without chaos.
06:50During the most critical hours of the search for survivors, Rodriguez calls on the public not to travel to the
06:56coast on their own as private vehicle traffic hinders the passage of ambulances, police patrols, and rescue units.
07:03Meanwhile, specialized teams from a dozen partner nations, including Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Spain, and the United States, are already operating
07:12on the ground.
07:20The rescue team sent by Brazil to reinforce humanitarian efforts in the areas affected by the earthquakes has arrived in
07:27Venezuela.
07:28The delegation consists of 36 firefighters, 6 rescue dogs, 4 officials from the Brazilian Civil Defense Agency, and 4 specialists
07:37from the National Telecommunications Agency.
07:39Along with this team, the necessary technical equipment arrived from Sao Paulo to ensure the autonomy of search and rescue
07:47operations.
07:47With this deployment, Brazil joins nations such as Mexico and El Salvador, whose teams are already actively collaborating in humanitarian
07:55efforts in the affected areas.
08:02Yes, the information is that the situation is very serious due to the two earthquakes, and because of La Guayra's
08:09geographical location, it is also a major problem,
08:13with issues we're seeing here regarding energy, electricity, and water.
08:17We know that the situation is very serious, and we are here to support the Venezuelan people.
08:26Venezuela welcomes rescue workers from France to assist in search and rescue efforts following the earthquakes.
08:32This Saturday, our group of rescue workers with rescue dogs arrived in the city of La Guayra to assist with
08:38the emergency.
08:38The country's coastline has been severely affected, and international teams are converging on the area to ensure the safety of
08:47injured victims.
08:48National and international emergency teams are moving forward with humanitarian efforts to support the population.
09:02American government will send more than 40 firefighters to Venezuela to conduct rescue operations in the wake of the earthquakes
09:09that struck the country on June 24th.
09:12A 44-member team from Peru's General Volunteer Fire Department is specialized in search and rescue operations in collapsed structures
09:20caused by natural or technological disasters.
09:23They are expected to land in Venezuela this Saturday, June 27, where they will remain for seven days.
09:30The government also sent 14 tons of humanitarian aid to those affected, emphasizing that the deployment of this mission is
09:36part of a solidarity effort to help the Venezuelan people.
09:47Venezuelans in the Spanish city of Córdoba organize a humanitarian cooperation day to collect basic necessities for their fellow Venezuelans
09:54back home.

10:44As the Rescue Command, the National Civil Protection System, and the USAR El Salvador Group, we are working on search
10:57and rescue in the collapsed zones.
