00:00And now we'll see live images from Venezuela, where heavy equipment for rescue operations is being shipped to La Guayra
00:06State.
00:09We're looking at the images of the heavy machinery that is being shipped currently to La Guayra State to allow
00:15for the rescue operations.
00:17Previously on the day, the road to La Guayra from Caracas was closed to all civilian passage.
00:23Just to be able for this shipment of machinery and international aid to be able to reach its destination.
00:32Let's recall that La Guayra was the most effective state after the two earthquakes hit Venezuela on Wednesday evening.
00:39Thus, that provoked an immense international operation to help search and rescue efforts,
00:47as there are many people still and a counted number of people trapped beneath the rubble.
00:58We're seeing the images from this heavy machinery that is being shipped to La Guayra, from the capital city of
01:06Caracas.
01:07Let's recall that there have been several delegations from international aid rescue crews that have arrived in Venezuela
01:16for the search and rescue operations that are currently going on in La Guayra.
01:20Among those are the delegations from El Salvador, from Mexico, Spain, the United States, among others.
01:31These delegations have come to Venezuela to help in the search and rescue operations that have been going on in
01:38the state of La Guayra.
01:39Let's recall that this state is the hardest hit state from all the seven states in Venezuela that were the
01:47two earthquakes that happened on Wednesday evening were felt.
01:52Let's recall that the two earthquakes hit Venezuela at 6 p.m. local time.
01:56The first one at 7.2 magnitude and the second at 7.5 magnitude earthquake both struck simultaneously, almost simultaneously,
02:05Venezuela on Wednesday evening.
02:08The two earthquakes have caused extensive damage.
02:12According to the latest toll from the Venezuelan authorities, over 900 people have been reported dead and over 2,000
02:20injured.
02:22According to this report, also, over 4,000 families have been affected in total.
02:28We are expected that this number will continue rising in the coming hours as search and rescue operations continue.
02:39Precisely, we are looking at the images of the heavy machinery that has come to La Guayra in the aid
02:45for the people still trapped beneath the rubble following the two earthquakes that hit Venezuela on Wednesday night.
02:52These international delegations have arrived from several countries, including Mexico, El Salvador, Spain and the United States, as well as
03:00international organizations such as the United Nations.
03:05These international organizations have brought rescue experts from all over the world to help the search and rescue efforts in
03:14Venezuela.
03:18In the latest balance given from the Central Command in La Guayra by Acton President Delcy Rodriguez, the rescue operations
03:28of La Guayra state were reviewed.
03:31The Acton President once again highlighted that the most important thing is to save as many lives as possible in
03:38the short window of opportunity that we have the first 72 hours after the catastrophe are the essential ones to
03:48find as many people alive as possible beneath the rubble.
03:53In this sense, Rorias stated that of the seven states that cross the country that are facing the terrible aftermath
04:00from the twin earthquakes, the worst of the tragedy is concentrated in La Guayra state.
04:06International aid is expanded rapidly with 10 more nations in route to send delegations for search and rescue efforts.
04:15The Acton President Delcy Rodriguez also said the electricity grid in La Guayra was recovered with over 60%.
04:22At the same time, over 14,000 military and police personnel have militarized and restricted the access to La Guayra
04:30to secure the zone and enforce critical sanitary precautions.
04:33Let's recall that earlier, it was reported that the congestion on the roads to La Guayra stopped these delegations, these
04:45search and rescue crews from reaching the state, therefore reaching the aid that is very much needed for the people
04:54that are still trapped beneath the rubble in the several collapsed buildings across La Guayra.
05:00Solidarity aid among the Venezuelan people has been incredible in the past few days, as hundreds of Venezuelans have come
05:09individually and privately to La Guayra to bring all kinds of supplies, including food, water, blankets, clothes for those affected
05:18by the earthquakes.
05:20But as of now, the hope must be organized in an orderly fashion by the state, which is why in
05:28the polyhedral of Caracas, the government of Venezuela has organized a contingent for volunteers to be able to go there
05:38and sign their names and to join a list of people who are able and willing to go to La
05:44Guayra to bring medicine, to bring clothes, to bring all sorts of supplies.
05:48But in an orderly fashion, these people now must have an idea on them to be able to cross to
05:54La Guayra state through the main roads, connecting the state with Caracas, the capital city of Venezuela.
06:03Once again, we're looking at the images of this heavy machinery and the heavy equipment for rescue operations that is
06:10being shipped to La Guayra, that is currently on the road to La Guayra.
06:16The shipment is part of a very essential hope that is underway, as La Guayra, let's recall, was the most
06:26affected state among seven states that were affected in total by the two strong earthquakes that hit Venezuela on Wednesday
06:34evening.
06:36Precisely on Wednesday evening at 6.04 pm local time, two earthquakes struck Venezuela, the first one at 7.2
06:43in magnitude and the second one at 7.5.
06:45The two almost simultaneous earthquakes that happened just 39 seconds in between them caused extensive damage throughout Venezuela.
06:55This includes a lot of lives lost.
06:59As of the latest report by the Venezuelan authorities, over 900 people have been reported dead and over 2,000
07:06have been reported injured.
07:14We're looking at the images of all the equipment that is being shipped that is currently on the way to
07:21La Guayra.
07:22The shipment carries heavy machinery, but it also carries all kinds of supplies, including medical supplies, clothes, food and water
07:31for the population of La Guayra.
07:35And with this information from La Guayra state, from Venezuela and the aftermath of the earthquakes, we now have a
