00:00Hello good people, welcome to Anime is Life and I've seen Demon Slayer the past three seasons, I've seen the
00:09Mugen Train movie and I finally, you know, got time to watch the fourth episode, sorry, the fourth season, the
00:20first episode of the fourth season and it was a pretty long episode.
00:24I think it had a runtime of like 48 minutes or something and I think there was an anime original
00:32sequence at the beginning, I don't recall that being in the manga where Shinazugawa and Igoro, they are rescuing a
00:42woman from a demon that has abducted her and they head to some sort of abandoned mansion and basically they're
00:51just slicing the crap out of all
00:54the demons because they're overpowered, they are the Hashiras for a reason and the main content of this episode was
01:03the Hashira meeting and the one who conducted it is Amane Ubuyashiki.
01:11She is the wife of Kagaya Ubuyashiki and the reason that she is heading the meeting instead of Kagaya is
01:24because his health is deteriorating rapidly.
01:29He is in a pretty bad condition, he is ultimately inching towards his death and that is so sad man
01:39because this guy is so gentle, so kind.
01:41And it is so sad to see what has become of his character, his character, how it has been portrayed
01:44up until now to the point where someone as, you know, Shinazugawa, whose personality is basically filled with rage, someone
01:56like him even starts respecting Ubuyashiki.
02:00And it is just sad to see what has become of this man and it's hereditary, this disease, this curse
02:14that is being passed down their lineage and hopefully they can, you know, find a way to survive, especially their
02:26future generations.
02:27So basically the Hashira meeting, what gets revealed is the conditions for the mark and obviously Tanjiro and Kanroji, they
02:39did not do a good job.
02:41All they did were sound effects and those sound effects, they were not very detailed explanations of how the marks
02:49manifested.
02:50So naturally, someone like Moichiru Tokito was the man who explained how they got the mark.
03:03Basically, the heart rate has to be 200 beats per minute and a temperature of over 102 degrees.
03:15Like those are life-threatening conditions and if someone survives those life-threatening conditions, that is how the mark gets
03:25manifested.
03:26And it is revealed by Amane that during the Sengoku era, the first generation of Demon Slayer cores, they were
03:37the ones who manifested the mark and they drove Muzan to the brink of defeat.
03:44They nearly defeated him, but at last, it was not meant to be.
03:51And the Hashira's then come up with a plan to devise this training strategy for basically raising the level of
04:01all the Demon Slayer, Demon Slayers in the Demon Slayer core.
04:07And one who is notably absent from this is Giyu.
04:14Giyu basically decides to isolate himself and not be concerned with this and I'm sure that there must be a
04:23big reason why he is not looking to actively be a part of this Hashira training endeavor.
04:32And hopefully we get more light shed on this.
04:37Inosuke and Zenitsu being their usual self while Tanjiro is in the Butterfly Mansion's recovery room with Genya.
04:51And dude, like Inosuke, man, he continues to be this loud brat.
05:01But at the same time, he is so freaking funny and so is Zenitsu.
05:08When Zenitsu returns, all he could think of is speaking to Nezuko who has learned to speak now.
05:16She can speak words and it turns out as soon as Zenitsu was enjoying the conversation with Nezuko, the bus
05:27killed happened because she just said Inosuke.
05:30Basically, Inosuke had been teaching Nezuko his name, how to speak his name, say big boss Inosuke.
05:37And she kept saying Inosuke.
05:40Like, that is like freaking crazy, man.
05:44And it's crazy, man.
05:46Like, I really like this group of Tanjiro, Nezuko, Inosuke, and Zenitsu.
05:53And together they are just so funny.
05:55Anyway, we get to the training.
05:57They're also receiving help from retired Hashira, Tengen, Uzui.
06:04And obviously, the core is having a tough time trying to keep up with the Hashiras.
06:13And we see Kaguya in a really, really bad condition.
06:22And he has sent a messenger crew to Tamayo, the demon doctor who's helping Tanjiro.
06:32And basically, Kaguya's initiative is for Tamayo to collaborate with Shinobu because they are both in the medical department of
06:45things when it comes to the demon physiology.
06:49And basically, Kaguya wants Tamayo to collaborate with them in overcoming Muzan Kibutsuji.
06:59And this is like, actually, a good move.
07:02This is how you do it because Tamayo really is talented.
07:08She is very talented when it comes to the medical science of the demon slayer core, of the demons.
07:18And Tamayo being so good at the demon physiology, like she understands what the demon structure is.
07:31And that's how she's able to help Tanjiro when it comes to Nezuko.
07:36And it's going to be great to see Tamayo collaborate with the demon slayer core.
07:44But at the same time, there is that danger that how will she get accepted into the demon slayer headquarters
07:55when she is a demon, right?
07:57But all in all, it looks like we're headed for the final stage.
08:03And this is that bridge that gets to the final act.
08:08And I think for the first episode, it was a really good episode.
08:12I was really impressed that they actually had an hour long, a near hour long episode to begin with.
08:20And demon slayer is always exciting.
08:25And I'm looking forward to see the next episode, which will be focused on Giyu.
