00:00Hello good people, welcome to Anime is Life and the fourth episode of Sakamoto Days gives us the debut of
00:11Obiguro and Boiled.
00:14And this has gotta be one of the most funniest episodes up until now. Actually scratch that, the most funniest
00:22episode up until now.
00:24And the history of Boiled and Sakamoto from their training days at JCC. Man, that was actually quite funny to
00:37see.
00:38Because, so basically, Boiled was very impressed and looked up to Sakamoto.
00:47So, they spent a lot of time together naturally because they were in the same training school.
00:54And, at one point, when Boiled sees that Sakamoto Days is getting chocolates from girls in the assassin department and
01:05the poison department and whatnot.
01:07Well, Nagumo actually did not pick that up from the poison department and rightfully so because, you know, those chocolates,
01:14they could be laced with poison.
01:15But, this was a freaking crazy episode and, and then, at one point, Nagumo asks Sakamoto who that guy is.
01:31And, despite having spent all this time together, Sakamoto says, no clue.
01:37And that stuns Boiled and that is how he starts hating Sakamoto.
01:43So, this was actually, man, that's sad for Boiled.
01:48Because, basically, he thought that they were bros till now.
01:51But, it turns out Sakamoto just did not even care that Boiled was there by his side for a long
01:58time.
01:58Because, they, I think they spent time during missions as well.
02:03As we have seen in the flashback.
02:05In the flashback.
02:06So, and it turns out, him and he has a female companion called Obiguru.
02:13And, they are top, ruthless professionals who work for a company called Don Denkai.
02:22If I'm getting it right, yes, Don Denkai.
02:25And, basically, JAA is using this company to target Sakamoto.
02:35And, there is a 1 billion yen bounty as we have seen before.
02:42And, the fight scenes that we see in this are unlike the previous episode.
02:48Because, I think this was the most serious fight that we have seen up until now.
02:53When it comes to Boiled versus Sakamoto.
02:57Now, Tatsu failed his mission.
02:59But, still, the no killing rule helped Tatsu to escape death.
03:04And, Hana Sakamoto instead put a bandage on his hand.
03:08And, she praised him for being good.
03:11Because, she thought that Tatsu was actually part of the stage act.
03:17And, not really trying to kill Shin, dressed as Sugar mascot.
03:24But, this was like crazy.
03:27So, basically, Tatsu is now, he's done with them.
03:30And, they are picking up Obi-Guru and this Boiled guy.
03:35They are picking up the mission where Tatsu failed.
03:39And, man, Boiled is actually a very funny character.
03:45And, he has somewhat striking resemblance to Senior Pink.
03:50If you remember one piece, the Dressrosa arc.
03:55The hard-boiled concept, it is just so similar.
04:00But, Sakamoto Days, I think it did a great job of executing that hard-boiled concept for Boiled.
04:08I mean, the dude is not bad.
04:10He's actually a good person at heart.
04:13Where we can see that he does not want Obi-Guru to step on ants.
04:17And, Obi-Guru is obviously, she is falling for this Boiled guy.
04:25But, he's oblivious to that fact.
04:27And, the dynamic between Obi-Guru and Boiled is something funny, man.
04:35That, I think people should see and check out this anime.
04:38Especially, this episode.
04:40And, from the looks of it, they can be really good, important characters going forward.
04:45And, Boiled is beating the crap out of Sakamoto when the entire family plus Shin and Lu are in the
04:55haunted house attraction of Sugar Park.
04:58Or, wherever that is.
05:00And, basically, that's the perfect setting for bounty hunters to strike.
05:06And, Sakamoto, they easily evade all these rookie assassins.
05:11But, Boiled is a different story.
05:14Eventually, Lu has to actually depend on alcohol to escape fear in the haunted mansion.
05:23I mean, she has some great Tai Chi skills.
05:25But, still, she needs alcohol because she is, at heart, a little girl who's scared of the haunted mansion.
05:34And, Shin gets captured by Obi-Guru.
05:38And, they are, and she is looking for her minions to basically run a chainsaw through him.
05:47But, she won't do that if Lu manages to make contact every 10 seconds or so.
05:56And, Lu just gives up.
05:57She says, I'm sorry, Shin.
05:58I cannot do it.
05:59I think it's one of her phases that she is going through.
06:04The drunken phase kind of reminds me of Naruto where Rock Lee was doing the drunken loopy fist gimmick, right?
06:16When they had that Sasuke retrieval arc.
06:19And, this was, man, the funniest episode up until now.
06:25And, Sakamoto is in for a lot of trouble because he is getting dominated by this boiled guy.
06:31And, ultimately, what happens is, in the end, he had to slim down.
06:40Now, I'm not sure whether he slimmed down or whether it was actually boiled.
06:45He's recognizing that bloodlust from Sakamoto that we see, that we have seen in the past, right?
06:52The Sakamoto of the past, not the present.
06:55He's basically envisioning him like that.
06:59Or, has Sakamoto actually burned calories mid-fight because he's getting serious?
07:05I wouldn't rule out the latter option as well because this is a comedy-based manga comedy show.
07:12So, right?
07:13These things, they happen often.
07:15Like Brook drinking milk during Whole Cake Island to regenerate his missing bones or broken bones.
07:23So, this is like, I wouldn't rule out the latter option.
07:28And, to add to this, the character of Boyle is actually quite funny.
07:36I mean, he has his weapons, Super Balls Bomb and Rocket Dynamite Punch.
07:43And, then, he tells them they're also known as SBB and RDP.
07:48So, basically, he's just initializing the name of the moves instead of actually, you know, like linking them to something
07:59memorable.
08:01It's like he's giving this big, big build-up only to reveal also known as the initials of the name
08:09of the move.
08:09So, this was freaking hilarious.
08:12And, Sakamoto is getting serious.
08:15He's slimmed down or whether Boyle is envisioning him like that because of their past.
08:22And, he recognizes that threat that Sakamoto can be.
08:25But, this was a great episode.
08:29And, I'm looking forward to the next one to see what happens, what happens with Shin and Lu versus Ubi
08:34Guru.
08:35But, this was the most fun episode and the most serious episode up until now.
08:45And, that's it for this video.
