02:01And everyone here is busy going to work and school
02:09So, I wonder what adventures we'll get up to today
02:15Ah, a big ball of cotton wool
02:18Oh, it's lovely and soft and fluffy
02:22Just like the snow outside
02:25Except this is warm and the snow is freezing
02:30Ah, there's the school bus
02:33I wonder who will be coming to the BALAMORI nursery today
02:42Here's Jada

02:45Here's Dylan
02:48Good morning, Dakota

03:14Everybody, everyone
03:17Come inside and join the fun
03:21Looking, feeling, spotting, fiddling, sitting, chatting
03:26Dance your favourite jig
03:28Everybody, everyone
03:31Come inside and join the fun
03:35That's exactly it
03:36That's it
03:37Just watch it doesn't stick to your finger
03:39I know, that's the thing
03:40I'll put his head on
03:43That's fabulous
03:43Oh, Holly, that's lovely
03:46Won't it?
03:47It's very, very cool today at the nursery, isn't it?
03:49I need a hat for my snowman
03:52A hat?
03:53Do you want to draw a hat like that?
03:55A wee top hat?
03:56I am going to draw it
03:57I'm going to draw it
03:58I'm going to draw it
03:58Do you know sometimes when you look out your window
04:00And the wind's blowing, the snow
04:02And it's going whoosh
04:03Look, these pictures are lovely
04:06Oh, did you hear that?
04:11Sounds like we have a visitor
04:12I wonder who it can be
04:13I'll just go and see
04:20Hey, sea plum
04:21Oh, yes, it's me
04:22What a fantastic day
04:24Fantastic day?
04:25But it's cold and snowy
04:27Morning, all
04:28Look at the sea plum
04:30Oh, look at the snowy pictures
04:32Look at the bears
04:32Look at the bears
04:34They look fantastic
04:35Look at the bears
04:37Look at the bears
04:37Wow, that's great
04:39That's brilliant
04:40Yours looks fantastic as well
04:42You all make a very good job of those
04:45Brilliant
04:46Oh, I'm so cold
04:48That'll be to do with the snow
04:50And I suppose painting snowy pictures isn't going to help, I expect
04:53Perhaps we should paint sunny pictures instead
04:55Oh, maybe I could help
04:57I've got something to show you
05:01Oh, now why is PC Plump in such a sunny mood on such a snowy day?
05:11Take a look Miss Hilly
05:12Oh wow, an island in the sun
05:15Yep, that's where I'm going my holidays next year
05:18Oh, I see
05:19That's why the cold snow outside isn't bothering you
05:22That's right, planning my summer holiday always makes me feel sunny and warm.
05:27It looks lovely.
05:29Oh it is, tiptoeing through the warm soft white sand, swimming in the blue sea.
05:37Sounds wonderful.
05:39Hey, wouldn't it be great if we could turn the nursery into our very own island in the sun?
05:43Oh yes, the children would love that.
05:46And you'd all feel much warmer and more cheerful.
05:48That's a smashing idea.
05:49Well, I'll go and see Spencer and get him on the case. Bye.
05:53Bye.
05:55So, which colour house do you think PC Plum will visit first today?
06:04Can you see all the different coloured houses sitting by the sea?
06:09Well, there's part of the story and Ballymorey asks which is the house for me?
06:15Is it yellow?
06:17Is it red?
06:18Or should we go to the greenhouse instead?
06:21White, orange, blue or pink?
06:24Which coloured house do you think?
06:27Blue house, yellow house, orange house or red?
06:32White house, green or pink?
06:35Which coloured house do you think?
06:44Which coloured house are we going to?
06:47Tell me what do you think?
06:49Which coloured house are we going to?
06:52Tell me what do you think?
06:55It's the Orange House!
06:58Yes, it's the Orange House because that's where Spencer lives.
07:31Oh, that was great fun. And it really warmed me up.
07:34Yeah, it's a great idea. In fact, Ms. Hooley and the children are needing to warm up too.
07:38Hmm, maybe I can get them to do some conducting.
07:40Oh, actually, there is something you can do to help.
07:43I'm hoping you can help me turn the nursery into an island in the sun.
07:47Hmm, hey, that is a neat idea, plummy.
07:50I know just a thing.
07:51Oh.
07:58Now, you make the palm trees, and I will make the sun.
08:29Ta-da!
08:31Now, all we need is a white sheet for white-shelled sand, and we have our very own...
08:40Island in the sun.
08:42All ready to be set up in the nursery. Brilliant.
08:45Hey, you know what else? We can have our very own tropical island music.
08:48Oh, that's a great idea.
08:51But what are we actually going to do on our island?
08:53Oh, we can have an imaginary trip in the sunshine.
08:58Hmm, like a story almost. Hmm, we're going to need some help.
09:03Who in Balamori has a brilliant imagination and is great at making up stories?
09:07There's only one person who has a brilliant imagination and is good at cheering people up.
09:12Josie Jump!
09:14If you're feeling glum, just call me I'm your chum.
09:19Cos Josie is the one to cheer you up and give you luck.
09:26So come on, let me see you.
09:29Stretch your face, make a smile.
09:33I can make you giggle and wriggle in style.
09:37Let's have fun, go out and play.
09:40I'll see that you're okay.
09:44Hey!
09:45Let's join in the fun with everyone.
09:48And give yourself a cheer.
09:52Give yourself a smile.
09:54That's such for a mile.
09:56So come on, let me see you.
09:59Clap your hands.
10:01Stomp your feet.
10:03Everybody up and through to the beat.
10:06Have a tickle.
10:08Run around.
10:10And let's all laugh out loud.
10:14Wanna have some fun?
10:16Just call Josie your chum.
10:18Cos I will cheer you up.
10:21Give yourself a clap.
10:23And a pat on the back.
10:25So come on, let me see you.
10:28Stretch your face, make a smile.
10:32I can make you giggle and wriggle in style.
10:36Let's have fun, go out and play.
10:40I'll see that you're okay.
10:43Hey!
10:51Oh, I've been skiing Josie.
10:53Hiya.
10:54Nearly got me.
10:56Yes, I just love skiing in the fresh snow.
10:58Right.
10:59Oh.
11:00Right.
11:01So what's the story in Balamori?
11:05Well...
11:08Miss Hooley and the children were making snow pictures at the nursery.
11:11Miss Hooley said they were feeling cold in all this snow.
11:14I was in a sunny mood and showed her a brochure about the island I'm going to for my summer
11:18holidays.
11:20I told her how great it is to feel the warm sand and swim in the sea.
11:24Miss Hooley had the idea of turning the nursery into an island in the sun.
11:29So I went to ask Spencer for help.
11:31We made palm trees and a big sun for the island.
11:36But...
11:39We don't know what to do on the island.
11:42You see, it's some sort of imaginary trip to the sun and so...
11:45So you thought a story might help?
11:47Yes.
11:48A story about sun and sand.
11:50You see, the thing is, I'm in sort of a cold and snowy mood after my skiing.
11:54I just love the way you zoomed down those hills and kicked snow everywhere!
12:00Well, couldn't you change your mood to help the children?
12:03Instead of being in a cold, snowy mood, could you not be in a sunny, sandy mood instead?
12:08Erm, wait a minute...
12:11Sunny...
12:14Sandy...
12:15Snowy...
12:17Yes!
12:18That gives me a great idea for a new story!
12:21Oh really?
12:21Great!
12:22OK, I'll just get change.
12:24Now meet me at the nursery for a brilliant tropical island story with snow in it!
12:29Snow?
12:31Oh well, I'll call in Spencer and we'll set up the island.
12:34Bye!
12:44Ah, well this sun is making me feel warm already!
12:47And these trees make the nursery look like a tropical island!
12:50Oh, but it still looks so snowy outside and freezing!
12:55Oh, don't worry about outside, Miss Willie!
12:57It's nice and warm in here!
12:58Now, let's pretend we're eating an ice cream.
13:02Hey!
13:03Is this the nursery?
13:05It looks more like a tropical island!
13:06Oh, thanks so much for coming in, Josie, to help us warm up!
13:10Oh, I'm looking forward to it!
13:12Hey!
13:14Are we all ready for a story about sun, sand and snow?
13:18Yeah!
13:18Yeah!
13:18It's hot!
13:20There was once a young girl called Anna, who lived in a very cold and snowy part of Russia,
13:25where the sun never shone.
13:28All year round, snow lay on the ground, covering everything as far as Anna could see.
13:33Now, Anna loved the snow, but she didn't like the cold.
13:37So, one day, Anna's mother and father told her that they were taking her on a trip.
13:41They were going to the land of her great-great-grandfather, who lived very far away.
13:47So, Anna and her mother and father sailed away on a big boat.
13:53They sailed for days, and days, and miles, and miles, right across the wide, deep blue sea.
14:02Even though it was getting warmer and warmer, and brighter and brighter each passing day,
14:07Anna began to dream about the snow she left behind.
14:10She felt homesick.
14:12She wished, and she wished, she could see the white snow again.
14:16Then one morning, they arrived on the island, and Anna's eyes lit up in amazement,
14:22because the island looked like it was covered in snow.
14:26This made Anna happy, because she missed the snow so much,
14:30but she was puzzled.
14:33How could it be snow, if the sun was shining so brightly, and it was so hot?
14:39Then Anna's father told her that the island wasn't covered in snow.
14:43It was white, white sand.
14:48When Anna landed on the island, she felt the lovely and warm sand in between her toes and hands.
14:55She was so happy, because she was warm, and the sun was shining.
15:00And she wasn't homesick anymore.
15:03Because the white, white sand reminded Anna of the white, white snow back home.
15:08Oh, yay!
15:10Good clap for Josie!
15:12Oh, thank you Josie, that was a fantastic story.
15:16That was so good.
15:17Okay, everybody on your feet.
15:18We're gonna dance, and we're gonna sing an island song, a tropical island song.
15:23Let's sing.
15:24Let's sing.
15:25This is my island in the sun, where my people have coiled since time begun.
15:31I may sail on many a sea, her shores will always be home to me.
15:38Oh, island in the sun, will to me by my father's hand.
15:44All my days I will sing in praise of your forest, waters your shining sand.
15:51Hey, let's do that again, come on.
15:53This is my island in the sun, where my people have coiled since time begun.
15:58I may sail on many a sea, her shores will always be home to me.
16:06Oh, island in the sun, will to me by my father's hand.
16:12All my days I will sing in praise of your forest, waters your shining sand.
16:22Yeah!
16:24Oh, thank you!
16:26That has really warmed us all up.
16:28Who's all hot now?
16:29Me!
16:30Me!
16:36I feel as warm as toast now.
16:39So, what was the story in Balamori?
16:43Well...
16:45It was a snowy day today and we were feeling cold in the nursery.
16:51PC Plum called in and he was in a very warm and sunny mood.
16:55It was because he had been planning his summer holiday on an island in the sun.
17:01He told us how great it is to walk in the warm sand and sunbathe and swim in the sea.
17:07So we decided to turn the nursery into our very own island in the sun.
17:13PC Plum went to ask Spencer for help.
17:17They made palm trees and a big yellow sun.
17:21Then PC Plum went to ask Josie to tell us a tropical island story.
17:26But Josie was in a cold, snowy mood instead.
17:30But she changed her mind when PC Plum gave her an idea for a story with sun and sand and
17:37snow in it.
17:38The nursery looked great as a tropical island and Josie's story was brilliant.
17:45We heard how white sand can look just like white snow.
17:49Then we had a great time singing and dancing about an island in the sun.
17:54We didn't feel cold at all after that.
18:01And that was the story in Balamori today.
18:10And I'll see you next time.
18:12Bye!
18:19Bye!
18:22Bah-ah-moley
18:25Bah-ah-moley
