00:00The misinformation that we see is a result, I think, of three or four things.
00:04One, the Iranians are masters of propaganda.
00:08Two, the Iranian negotiating team, if we think about the three sleeves of the Iranian government,
00:15the, in quotation marks, elected officials, the IRGC, and the clerics,
00:20the negotiating team is from the government, and they are playing to a hardline audience back in Tehran.
00:30So, just like we have hardliners in our system, they have hardliners.
00:37Another is that nothing President Trump can do ever satisfies the media.
00:43So, I would tell everyone, sit back, let this process take place.
00:49It is going to be a process.
00:52What we have done, we have told the Iranians that we would like a big deal.
00:59The Iranians have never, because of, I outlined it in my speech here last year,
01:06when I said that I would, if I held the Iranian currency, I would get out,
01:13because the currency is going to collapse.
01:14Lo and behold, by December, the largest bank in Iran collapsed because of our sanctions.
01:20Central Bank had to print money, and they had massive inflation.
01:25So, we managed to, you know, a year of maximum pressure.
01:31Then there was epic fury, we had economic fury, where we took the sanctions up another level,
01:39and then we had the blockade.
01:42We have enabled, we have allowed them to, we've unsanctioned their oil,
01:48and the Iranians were always selling their oil.
01:51They were always selling it to the Chinese, and, you know, at a discount.
01:56And what I would say is, you know, it is better for the world, and worse for them,
02:03if they are getting the, let's say it's the Brent rate, $75, $76 today, the full rate,
02:11rather than where we were a few weeks ago at $115 and getting 80% of that.
02:18So, you know, and again, this is a very conditional, performance-based negotiation,
02:24and we are offering them carrots, and then there are sticks.
02:29Well, to that point, I mean, have they performed up to this point to get that relief on this sanction?
02:35Again, that, there is nothing there, that we have, you know, we have done the sanctions relief,
02:43and, you know, this is a general benefit to the global markets,
02:48and, you know, it's not, you know, automatic tit for tat.
02:53This is going to be an arc of a negotiation, and we have done this,
02:58and the fact that they are at the table discussing their nuclear program,
03:04has never been done before, that they are willing to discuss it, we have not seen.
