01:20The United Nations reported that Sunday marked the first day without Israeli attacks against Lebanon since the escalation of hostilities
01:27on March 2nd.
01:28The United Nations spokesperson, Stefan Duharrik, stated during a press conference that Sunday marked the first day that the United
01:34Nations peacekeeper in southern Lebanon did not detect any trajectories or observe any interception since fighting began.
01:42In this sense, the official also highlighted that although the Zionist regime seems to have halted aggressions, the United Nations
01:49inter-enforcing Lebanon are continuing to observe extensive Israeli military ground activities on the border as well as violations of
01:56Lebanese airspace by Israeli aircraft.
01:58In this context, hope among Lebanese citizens increases as they return to their homes in southern towns and villages.
02:12Turning to southern Lebanon, I can tell you that yesterday marked the first day since the resumption of hostilities on
02:19March 2nd in Lebanon that peacekeepers from our peacekeeping force in Lebanon did not detect any trajectories or observe any
02:28interceptions.
02:29UNIFIL says this lack of activities has continued through this morning.
02:34We welcome this reduction of hostilities and we very much hope that this trend continues for the sake of people
02:41on the ground.
02:42This follows an intense escalation on Friday and Saturday after the latest reported ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.
02:51Over the past three days, UNIFIL peacekeepers have, however, continued to observe extensive IDF ground activities throughout the mission's area
02:59of responsibilities, including armoured manoeuvres as well as engineering and logistical activities.
03:05Peacekeepers also continue to observe violation of Lebanese airspace by IDF aircrafts, although this has been observed at reduced levels.
03:17Iran says that the first concrete test of the agreements reached with the United States depends on Israel's withdrawal from
03:23Lebanon.
03:24Iranian Foreign Minister Abbasar actually stated that the agreements have made significant progress toward resolving conflicts and that their effects
03:31depend on the withdrawal of the Israeli army from Lebanon.
03:33In this regard, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Bagheye emphasized Iran's concern over the violation of this agreement,
03:41despite the other parties involved and assured that the country seeks ceasefire and the end of military operations in all
03:47fronts.
03:48Bagheye also noted that this agreement focuses on the economic and strategic aspects necessary to achieve development, which he described
03:55as being of great significance.
04:05At least 13 dead and 66 injured is the preliminary toll from the explosion at an energy complex in Qatar.
04:13Qatar's Minister of State for Energy Affairs, Sad bin Sherida, said that Pakistani and Indian citizens are among the fatalities
04:20and injured.
04:21The incident took place in Raslafan, an industrial area north of Doha, that is home of the world's largest liquefied
04:28natural gas production and export center.
04:31At this time, authorities have not disclosed the causes of the incident, as investigations continue to determine what happened.
04:45In Russia, five people died in the city of Voronezh during terrorist attacks carried out by Ukraine.
04:51The region's governor, Alexander Gusev, stated that several dozens of residents required medical assistance following the attack.
04:59He noted that the most severe damage occurred at an industrial plant where a fire broke out and that no
05:05excessive concentrations of hazardous substances were detected in the air.
05:10Gusev also reported damage to 10 buildings and 6 private homes, as well as about 50 reports of damage to
05:17vehicles.

05:31According to the National Electoral Commission, the selected date is in line with the national elections law and the extension
05:38of the transitional period,
05:40the most ambitious step toward consolidating the peace agreement after years of internal conflict.
05:44election authorities confirmed that the preparation of the voter registry will begin in less than a month,
05:50kicking off a race against time marked by logistical, financial and security challenges.
05:56Furthermore, the committee urged the public to participate in this election,
06:02emphasizing that they will constitute the fundamental constitutional mechanism for electing new political leaders.
06:14late on Monday, the Romanian parliament refused to grant a vote of confidence to liberal leader Adrian Bestea to form
06:21a new government.
06:22Bestea, who had been nominated by the Romanian president, failed to reach the threshold of 233 votes required,
06:29after receiving only 189 votes in favor.
06:32The parliamentary setback occurred after several members of the Chamber of Deputies left the Chamber before the session began.
06:39This event marks any chapter in Romania's political instability exacerbated by deep partisan divisions on growing economic and regional pressures.
06:54And the Health Institute of the Democratic Republic of Congo confirmed the 1,003 cases of Ebola and 254 deaths,
07:02representing a fatality rate of 25.3%.
07:05Just two days before the update, there were 70 fewer cases and 9 fewer deaths, highlighting the virus arrived at
07:12Express.
07:13Health authorities noted that this variant is mainly concentrated in North and South Kivu and Ituri provinces.
07:19They also reported that difficulties in accessing certain regions are complicating efforts to control outbreaks,
07:25meaning that the actual number of infections could be significantly higher than officially reported.
07:31Neighboring Uganda has 19 cases of the virus, all with links to the Democratic Republic of Congo,
07:37and has not reported any new cases since June 5th.

09:32manifest destiny, and the historical contradiction there exists today.

15:23institutions

15:49and determine repayment schedules, currencies and methods for each operation to the Secretariat of Treasury
15:55and the Secretariat of Finance, all without requiring prior congressional approval.

16:15which has been in care and maintenance for three years.
16:18The Ministry of Commerce presented the results of the government audit to the Ministerial Commission,
16:23which will decide if the Canadian company, First Quantum Minerals, can continue operating in the country.
16:30In this scenario, social sectors anticipate that the government could reopen with the same company by decree of direct contracting,
16:38a decision they consider lacking legal and constitutional basis.
16:42Lawyer environmentalists and social organizations are demanding that the government enforce the ruling
16:47and permanently close the mind which has been criticized for its environmental impact and for violating the rights of local
16:54communities.
17:00In a national poll in Ecuador indicates that the 70% of citizens disapprove of President Daniel Novo's administration.
17:08According to the technical sheet, the survey was conducted from June 1 to June 16,
17:14covering all 24 provinces of the country with a 90% confidence level.
17:19The sample included 4,000 respondents' approval ratings were low, with only 22.49% of respondents' approval of the
17:27national government across all provinces.
17:30Minimal percentage of respondents were neutral or said they had no opinion or were unaware of the presidential administration.
17:44The Bolivian former President Debo Morales announced the interruption of basic services in the Cochabamba tropical region,
17:51describing it as a punishment for the population.
17:54Former President Morales pointed out that these essential services cannot be suspended to punish thousands of families,
18:00and he questioned the absence of the institutions called upon to defend users' rights,
18:05such as the Ombudsman's Office and the Permanent Assembly on Human Rights.
18:10Morales also decided that the region's residents are Bolivians with the same rights as any citizens of the country,
18:16and he stressed that peace and democracy are built by guaranteeing rights,
18:21not by depriving an entire population of essential services.
18:43Algeria pulled off a dramatic 2-1 comeback victory over Jordan to keep their World Cup dreams alive in Group
18:50J.
18:50Jordan struck first in the 35th minute when Nisar Al-Rajdan capitalized on a defense blunder,
18:56scoring a historic first-ever World Cup goal for his nation to shock the African giants.
19:01But Algeria's tactical changes paid off in the second half.
19:05Of a brilliant Riyad Mahrez corner substitute, Nadir Ben-Boulal,
19:09dynamically headed home to the equalizer in the 68th minute.
19:14The turnaround was complete at the 81st minute when Amin Gowiri smashed in a loose ball
19:20after a tense war review, the goal stood to steal in three vital points for Algeria.
19:31Argentina is celebrating not only a historic 2-0 victory over Austria Monday's World Cup match,
19:38but also that the team's star player Lionel Messi just became all-time gold scorer in World Cup history.
19:44And this was exactly 40 years after Argentine player Diego Armando Maradona scored his iconic hand of gold gold,
19:52won the celebrations from our corresponding Lionel Messi from Argentina.
20:01The Argentine national team won its second World Cup match, this time against Austria in a 2-0 victory,
20:07led by Albi Celeste captain Lionel Messi.
20:11Great, very exciting. At one point I thought things were getting tough for us, but in the end Leo stepped
20:17up and scored both goals.
20:18I'm really thrilled. I just came straight from work to watch it with my co-workers, and I'm so happy.
20:25Honestly, Messi is a legend. With the first of those goals, Messi became the all-time leading scorer in World
20:30Cup history with 18 goals.
20:32It makes me incredibly proud. I think he deserved it, especially since Diego scored two goals today, exactly 40 years
20:40later.
20:41It was exactly the 40th anniversary of the goal scored by the Cosmic Kite, as Victor Hugo Morales nicknamed Maradona
20:47against England.
20:48The goal of the century and the hand of God goal. He's the greatest, the absolute greatest.
20:57While we do have a star player on the team now, personally, I don't think he surpasses him. He doesn't
21:05surpass that man from the people, a true man of the people.
21:10There was some tension there between those who were on Maradona's side and those on Messi's, and they were remembering
21:17this.
21:17But honestly, it was very exciting, especially given how the match ended. Do you feel those tensions? Or are you
21:24among those who believe both are great?
21:26No? They're both great. I wouldn't dare choose between them.
21:30With these two victories, the World Cup excitement is building, even though it hasn't quite taken over the streets yet.
21:36But if things keep going this way, it promises to drive the Argentine fans wild as they begin to dream
21:41of a fourth title.
21:42The last game seemed pretty lackluster to me. We were just talking with some friends, but today I noticed there's
21:49more energy, more colors, so I think things are really heating up.
21:53It's exciting, as always, to have a team competing in the World Cup, but the country's situation is also a
22:01concern.
22:03Sometimes that overshadows things a bit, but oh well, oh well. Happy, happy for the players. Happy for the joy
22:12they bring us. Happy because it's lifting people out of the sadness we're going through.
22:17But anyway, it's motivating. Very motivating.
22:21I think five goals in two games is a very good sign, and I have every confidence that this will
22:27be an unforgettable World Cup for everyone, too.
22:30And I believe the fourth title could be on its way.
