Some 69 people from 20 families in Gopeng have been sent to a temporary relief centre following a water surge incident that swept away a bridge at Ulu Geruntum in Gopeng.

A Perak Disaster Management Committee spokesman said the victims were moved into the relief centre at the Gopeng Town Hall at about 2pm on Saturday (June 20) following the incident on Friday (June 19) evening.
