00:00On the basis of human dignity, we must live in peaceful coaxism.
00:07Every religion does not promote racism, does not promote disunity.
00:14Every religion promotes so that we can united and we can live in peace.
00:34We are at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, where over 2,500 people gathered for the Third International Summit of
00:41Religious Leaders,
00:42with the aim of discussing the empowerment of youth.
00:49This is the third time Malaysia has played the host to the summit.
00:53Ethnically and religiously varied, the country believes that diversity promotes progressive and dynamic development of human society.
00:59We want to leverage on the advantage of Malaysia, where we have a majority of Muslims, but we have a
01:09large or significant minority of non-Muslims,
01:12where we live happily together, harmoniously, so we want to promote this kind of harmonious society.
01:22Organized together with the Muslim World League, the summit highlighted the role of religious leaders in connecting with the younger
01:27generation,
01:28to make them not beneficiaries, but partners in building the common future.
01:32There are programs and trainings that have been offered in this summit.
01:36We want to refer to the young people to come from their responsibilities, especially with the young people.
01:43There is no doubt that the young people are those who can defend themselves in a very complicated situation.
01:49It is related to the ability, the values, the relationships, the relationships, the relationships with the techniques, and especially with
01:58the modern education.
01:59Possible harmful effects of generative AI and its misuse, as well as misinformation and disinformation spread by it,
02:06were among the main discussion topics during both the religious summit and the fourth Southeast Asia Scholars Conference, which followed
02:13the next day.
02:13And this is what's happening back in my country as well, that they will find the answer first on ChatGPT,
02:19and then they'll go and ask the scholars.
02:20And then they start questioning those people who have actually gone through proper channel of studies, compared to someone who's
02:25just gone on ChatGPT and found the questions.
02:29The summit's speakers emphasize that the way to combat misinformation is through education and knowledge, which can ultimately be the
02:35bridge to understanding.
02:36And to know only one religion is not complete, unless we know religion of other people also, and how that
02:42is possible.
02:43That's possible only through interaction, conferences, seminars, mixing up with other cultures, other religious people.
02:49I think these events are very important for inculcating that, you know, multiculturalism and type of universal approach to life.
02:59Knowledge can also serve to dissipate destructive narratives that have already been dominant and used to oppress others.
03:05My research on feminism, especially feminism in Pakistan, because some people link the feminism to the Islamophobia.
03:17They use feminism narrative to promote Islamophobia.
03:21Islam gave right to women almost before 1400 years ago.
03:27Islam gave right to property, inheritance, and marriage by choice.
03:36Okay?
03:37So, I'm at these conferences, give a clear message to the world.
03:44Islam is a champion of women's rights.
03:49Okay?
03:49So, that's why I'm here to use a platform.
03:54The participants noted that the challenge of today is how to use knowledge wisely, and how to bring up a
04:00generation that has strong values and social consciousness, along with technical competence.
04:05With AI, posing the correct question has become vital.
04:09Personally, in my opinion, I'm very neutral on using AI.
04:13Okay, because it's your choice for you to, whether you want to use AI in a right way or in
04:20a wrong way.
04:21So, if you have faith, you believe in God, and so on, so you will not, like, move away from
04:28the real path.
04:29Religious leaders believe that the sense of purpose and direction is as important as the knowledge itself.
04:35They also remark that today's youth are navigating the complex question of identity while struggling with mental health and emotional
04:42well-being.
04:42As technology continues to reshape the world, participants stress that understanding each other and promoting youth development will be key
04:50to shaping a better tomorrow.
05:00We'll see you next time.
