00:00U.S. President Donald Trump has praised Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin
00:05for, in his words, remaining neutral during the Iran conflict.
00:10He made the remarks after the ceasefire deal, saying both leaders did not interfere with U.S. efforts to contain
00:17Iran's nuclear program.
00:20He thanked Xi and Putin for their cooperation, saying they could have made the situation much more difficult for Washington.
00:26He also said China helped ease tensions by avoiding the supply of advanced weapons to Iran.
00:33The remarks come despite Beijing and Moscow maintaining close ties with Tehran throughout the conflict.
00:38China has previously condemned U.S. strikes on Iran, while Russia has warned the war could risk triggering a nuclear
00:45arms race in the Middle East.
00:47Both countries have now welcomed the ceasefire deal, calling on all sides to honor the agreement.
