00:00Every general manager in all sports has philosophy.
00:04What is the Danny Breer philosophy where you go,
00:06this is what I think is best for the Philadelphia Flyers or any team that you're running?
00:11Is it going after superstars or is it trying to build from within your organization?
00:16Tough question because it's got to fit, right?
00:18There's star players that fit. There's stars players that don't fit.
00:22I mean, for us right now, you know, one of the big hole,
00:24and we all know about that, is trying to find a number one center.
00:28They're probably the toughest fill.
00:30So what we've tried to do is build from within.
00:33And, you know, if we don't find that superstar one C,
00:37maybe we can build it with a bunch of two Cs.
00:39Our young guys are developing nicely.
00:42So I think you have to adapt or adjust to kind of what you have to start with
00:47and make the changes along the way that slowly makes you better
00:51until if a chance has come, you're able to strike.
00:54So you've got to leave yourself that possibility.
00:57And that's kind of where we're at right now.
00:59If it comes, we're ready and we have the cab space, we have the assets.
01:03But if it doesn't, we keep building from within with the bath picks
01:07because these guys are going to get better.
01:09It takes a little bit more time.
01:10It's a little slower that way.
01:11But we have a chance to build a really complete team
01:15where, you know, you don't have too many weaknesses that way.
01:18The other thing that's really important for us,
01:20when we started, we felt we needed to change the culture of the team
01:23and bring some hard worker play a little bit to what the city likes
01:28and the way they're built here in Philadelphia.
01:31So I think we've given that to our fans.
01:34We have hard workers with guys that never quit that are relentless.
01:37That goes a long way.
01:38And that gives you a solid base as well to be successful.
