00:00Before we even get into tonight's draft, crazy couple weeks in the NHL with trades.
00:06Should we be anticipating a big trade coming from the Philadelphia Flyers within the next week or so?
00:13I wouldn't rule anything out.
00:14Danny Brears has even made a couple trades himself.
00:17He's made two trades in the last 10 days.
00:20So Brears has always been open for business from day one when he took the job here.
00:25He's been very open for business.
00:27And I think the Flyers have some pressure to advance the current team now.
00:31It's about the president just as much as it is the future now.
00:35The Flyers are still considering some rebuild.
00:37They're not going to disregard the future, but they do want to get better.
00:39And I think Brears showed that with a couple of trades recently, addressing the backup goaltending position,
00:46potentially opening up a spot on the wing for a young player by trading Garner Hathaway,
00:50that the Flyers want to take another step next season.
00:53And so I wouldn't rule anything out.
00:55I think the biggest problem is they have just four picks in this draft.
00:58So they don't have a ton of ammo.
01:00And Brear did say the other day he doesn't want to trade a lot of future firsts because you never
01:04know where a season might go.
01:06And that future first could be a really high pick in the first next year if the Flyers take a
01:11step back.
01:11So be ready for anything.
01:13But it wouldn't surprise me if the Flyers make all of their picks this weekend.
