00:00This is a year where in the first five rounds, right, you only have two draft picks?
00:04First and second, if I'm not mistaken?
00:06Yeah, that's correct.
00:06Okay, next year you've got a lot of chips in front of you.
00:09You've got a lot of chips.
00:10Should we expect, potentially, that some of the chips from next year may be used to help you get in
00:16more into this year's draft?
00:18And also, potentially, do you see this offseason as one where, with some of that cap space that you now
00:25have,
00:25that maybe that is more being pushed towards next offseason, not this season, for as far as spending?
00:32For the draft, it's possible.
00:34You know, if there's a player we love that starts to drop in, you know, third and fourth round,
00:40it's possible we use capital draft picks of the future to move in.
00:45But I also don't hate sometimes being overloaded in one draft and then a little weaker in the next draft.
00:53We've drafted a lot of players the last few years.
00:55When we started about three years ago, we targeted our last three drafts as, you know, the base of our
01:02future.
01:02And we knew the 2026 draft we were going to use as capital to acquire players.
01:09And that's what we did.
01:09We've done, again, yesterday with the trade.
01:13So unless there's a player we love, I think we're probably going to stand pat and try to load up
01:18next year's draft.
01:19And as far as the salary cap situation, we've worked hard the last few years to set us up for
01:26this.
01:26Unfortunately, there's not a lot available on July 1st regarding unrestricted free agency.
01:33But there's a lot of players that are talked about, star players that are talked about as possible trades.
01:38So we're staying on top of that.
01:40If there's a chance to strike that makes sense, we're going to jump on that.
01:43So we're going to jump on that.
