03:46She's a funny man
03:47What did you hear, Leah?
03:49I'm standing man
03:50He said
03:50What did I say first time around, Sarah?
03:53Archie's a funny man
03:54Archie's a funny man
03:55Archie's a funny man
03:56Do you see what happened when we got to here?
03:58See, it was funny
03:59Oh
03:59Oh, I heard a noise out there, did you?
04:07Sounds like we have a visitor. I wonder who it can be? We'll just go and see.
04:14Hello, Peasy Plum.
04:15Hello, Miss Willie. Now, not to worry, Peasy Plum is here.
04:18Hello, Peasy Plum!
04:20I'm not worried.
04:21Now, if you'll lead the children out into the garden for safety, then I'll stay here and deal with the
04:25emergency.
04:25What emergency? I think you'd better come through to my office and explain exactly what's going on.
04:33Well, I got a message on my police radio a minute ago saying that there was an emergency at the
04:37nursery.
04:38Well, somebody made a mistake.
04:40No, no, no, I jotted it down. It said, emergency, go to the nursery, help Miss Hooley. So here I
04:47am.
04:48Well, I don't need any help and there's definitely no emergency.
04:52Oh, um, well, we could solve the mystery over a nice cup of tea.
04:57A nice cup of tea coming up.
05:09Who was that?
05:11I think it came from the tap.
05:17It did! How odd!
05:21Oh, could you answer that for me?
05:24The Ballymorey nursery, Peasy Plum speaking.
05:26On Ballymorey this morning.
05:28And a typhoon is expected to blow the bus off to Barbados at two o'clock.
05:34So have your sun cream ready.
05:38Who was that?
05:40I don't know, but there's going to be blue snow over Ballymorey.
05:44Blue snow?
05:45Oh, that's silly.
05:47There go hoo, the eagle's far, the bus goes...
05:49That's weird.
05:52First a musical tap, then a weather forecast down the phone and now a singing kettle.
05:58Ah, that's the clue.
06:00What's the clue?
06:02Well, the word bus appeared in the songs and the weather forecast.
06:06Yes, so?
06:08So, Edie's the only person in Ballymorey with a bus.
06:11She must know something to help solve this mystery.
06:14That is brilliant thinking, Peasy Plum.
06:17I hope Edie can help.
06:19Let's hope so. I'm off to see Edie.
06:22Oh, what about your tea?
06:26So, which coloured house do you think Peasy Plum will visit first today?
06:34Can you see all the different coloured houses sitting by the sea?
06:40Well, this part of the story in Ballymorey asks,
06:43Which is the house for me?
06:46Is it yellow?
06:47Is it red?
06:49Or should we go to the greenhouse instead?
06:51White, orange, blue or pink?
06:54Which coloured house do you think?
06:57It's the blue house!
07:00Yes, it's the blue house.
07:01Because that's where Edie McCready lives.
07:09Hello, Edie. You're not busy, are you?
07:11Busy? Oh, no.
07:13I'm just sorting through these questions I want to ask at a quiz.
07:17I'm planning to give at the nursery later.
07:19Questions?
07:20Yes, here's one.
07:22Where would you find lots of lions?
07:24On my pyjamas?
07:26Oh!
07:29That is not the answer I was expecting.
07:32You would find lions in Africa.
07:35Here, try again.
07:37Where would you find kangaroos?
07:39Oh, that's easy.
07:41Australia.
07:43Correct!
07:44You would find kangaroos in Australia.
07:46Now, can I ask you a question, Edie?
07:48Oh, well, fire away.
07:49Righty-ho.
07:50Have you had any problems with your kettle or your water taps?
07:55Problems?
07:56Yes. Have they been singing?
07:58Or, um...
07:59Well, has your phone been giving you weather forecasts
08:02about typhoons and blue snow over Balamori?
08:06Typhoons and blue...
08:07Oh, no. I would remember that.
08:11Oh, what's this?
08:13Oh, there are notes for a song that I was going to sing the children in my bus on the
08:17way to the nursery.
08:18Oh, the cows go moo, the sheep go bah, and the bus goes...
08:22And the bus goes vroom, vroom, vroom!
08:23Hooray!
08:25Oh, you sound like you've heard it before.
08:27That's because I have. From Miss Hooley's Singing Kettle.
08:31Oh, Miss Hooley's Kettle?
08:33Yes.
08:33Tell me, Edie, were you singing this song earlier?
08:36No.
08:38Yes.
08:39Yes, I was practicing on my aunt's old radio.
08:43I gave out a weather forecast, sang some songs,
08:50and I even gave out a news bulletin.
08:54Oh, you should have heard me.
08:56I did. On Miss Hooley's Kettle and Phone and Tap.
09:02You're the mystery voice we're looking for.
09:03Oh, dear, but how?
09:06Well, this old radio must be broadcasting sounds as well as receiving it.
09:10We'll have to turn it off. You need a special license to use one of these.
09:13Turn it off? I didn't even know it was on.
09:16No, it was on.
09:20Now, where did you buy it?
09:22Well, I didn't. I found it in my garage amongst a lot of boxes that my aunt left there.
09:28I was going to take it to the nursery for the children to play radio with.
09:32That's why I'd given it a good dusting.
09:34Well, you must have turned it on when you were dusting it.
09:36We'll need to switch it off.
09:38Right.
09:39Now, maybe this will do the trick.
09:41Now, maybe this will do the trick.
09:43Oh!
09:44Oh, no!
09:46That's made it worse!
09:47That's made it worse!
09:48Oh!
09:52Who in Balamori would be able to help us turn that off?
09:54Who would know which button was what?
09:58Of course!
10:01Archie!
10:02Did I hear you say that you got a confusion?
10:07Great inventions, groovy solutions!
10:11Super Archie's suffering through the solution.
10:15Great inventions, groovy solutions!
10:18Archie can make most anything.
10:21I can solve your problem, sing!
10:24To fix that fly with yogurt pot wings, yeah!
10:28Great inventions, groovy solutions!
10:32Great inventions, groovy solutions!
10:35Great inventions, groovy solutions!
10:36Do your cocks need declogging?
10:43Has your sprocket sprung its screw?
10:49Oh!
10:51Oh!
10:51Oh!
10:51Oh!
10:53Oh!

10:57Oh!
10:58Oh!
10:59I'll start it out for you
11:02I've know what to do
11:04Archie's such a clever champ
11:06He knows a lot now
11:11I'm a scientific wonder
11:13If we're the yogurt pop now
11:19Archie, yeah
11:25Ah, hello you two
11:26I thought it was your voices I could hear booming out all over Ballamory
11:29You heard us
11:31Every word
11:32Come and get out of my washing machine would you believe
11:34Yes I would
11:35Now tell me
11:38What's the story in Ballamory?
11:41Well, it all started this morning
11:46I arrived at the nursery after receiving a message on my radio
11:50telling me about an emergency taking place there
11:52Of course there was no emergency at the nursery
11:55Not until the same mystery voice from the radio
11:58Spouted from the water tap
11:59And started singing from the kettle in Miss Lily's office
12:04I jotted down what the voice said
12:06And found that the clue led me here to visit Edie
12:09I soon discovered that Edie had been accidentally transmitting her voice
12:12All over Ballamory through our aunt's old radio transmitter
12:16We tried to turn it off but neither of us knew how
12:20So that's why we called on you Archie
12:22Yes, you're the cleverest person in Ballamory
12:25If anyone can turn the radio off, you can
12:28Well, now, let's have a look
12:31Ah, yes
12:32Oh, this is a cracking thing, isn't it?
12:35Looks to me like an old transceiver
12:36Very powerful, very rare
12:39You do know you need a licence to use one of these, don't you?
12:42Well, I didn't
12:43But I know now
12:46What's a transceiver, Archie?
12:48It transmits a radio signal voice as well as receiving one
12:51Transmits a radio signal voice as well as receiving one
12:54See?
12:56Oh, that's great, Archie
12:57But can't you turn it off?
12:59Yes
13:00Using tried and tested scientific principles
13:04Eeny, meeny, miny, mo
13:06Press this button
13:08And off the air we go
13:09And off the air
13:11You made it look so easy, Archie
13:13Everything's easy when you know how, plumbers
13:15Oh, thank you, Archie
13:17That is brilliant
13:20Radio station Edie MacReady is off the air
13:23For good
13:25But then again, it's a shame, you know
13:28I was going to take the radio down to the nursery
13:31For the children to play radio with
13:33Not to worry, Edie
13:34Why don't you make a radio for your own
13:35That's safe for you and the children to use?
13:37We've got everything that we need here
14:03There we are
14:04One clay radio ready to broadcast to the Ballamory nursery
14:08Oh, that's brilliant, Archie
14:11Oh, radio MacReady
14:14Back on the air
14:25Now, Sarah
14:27Can you tell me
14:29What noise does a slithery snake make?
14:35Ssss
14:36That is
14:38Ssss
14:40Very good
14:41Wow, very good, Sarah
14:43Very good, Sarah
14:44Now, we have Murray
14:46Now, Murray, can you tell me
14:48What bird makes this noise?
14:52Doot, doot, doot, doot, doot, doot
14:57That is correct, Murray
15:02Yes, hooray
15:04Excellent, everyone
15:06That was very good
15:08Now, Edie, let's hear what else is on the radio
15:10Can I have a shot?
15:13Oh, now, that sounds like the weather
15:17Rachel, here you are
15:19Oh, there you are, Rachel
15:20There's your microphone
15:22Now, everybody listen to what Rachel's going to say about the weather
15:24In the radio
15:25So many things are on the radio
15:28Very good
15:30Hooray
15:31That was very good
15:32Now, let's hear what else is on, Edie
15:36Oh, now, that sounds like the news
15:40Please say come find a king
15:43Did he, indeed?
15:44That's an interesting piece of news, that
15:47Well done, Robbie
15:48Thank you
15:49That was great
15:49Wasn't it great?
15:50Hooray
15:51Now, what else is on the radio?
15:54Oh, this is a sing-along station
15:56Who would like to sing a song about all the noises?
15:59The cows go moo, the sheep go bah, the bus goes broom, broom, broom
16:02The dog goes whoop, the fish go clug, the bus goes beep, beep, zoom
16:06Yee-haw!
16:10The snakes go hiss, the birds go tweet, the owls go twit-a-boo
16:15But the bestest sound I've ever heard is my bus going beep, broom, zoom
16:19My bus going beep, broom, zoom
16:21Hooray!
16:34So, what was the story in Vallamore today?
16:39Well, PC Plum was sent along to the nursery by a mystery voice coming from his police radio
16:50The mystery voice turned out to be Edie, who had been playing on her aunt's old radio transmitter
16:56Sending her voice out to every radio, kettle and tap in Vallamore
17:03Neither PC Plum or Edie knew how to stop the radio transmitting
17:08So Archie came to their rescue, turning it off with a flick of a switch
17:15Edie had planned to show the children at the nursery the old radio that afternoon, but now couldn't
17:22Archie thought up a way to make Edie a play radio for the children to play with instead
17:29We all had great fun playing with the play radio as we flicked through the different stations
17:37And that was the story in Vallamore
17:41I liked the sing-along station best
17:43Did you?
17:45Vroom, vroom, vroom
17:47There we go
17:49And I'll see you soon
17:52Bye!
