Taipei is pushing for more economic cooperation with Manila. It says trade and investment is most important and that it wants more investment partnerships in the Philippines with Japan and the US.

00:30Taiwan Foreign Minister Lin Jialong says Taiwan considers the Philippines to be as important as one of its diplomatic allies.
