01:01Our client's brief was to create a practical, inviting and fresh living space with a lot
01:07of storage and a minimalistic, cozy Scandinavian approach.
01:14The layout, the materials and the installations were totally different from what they are now.
01:23We completely changed the floor plan.
01:27We moved the kitchen from the corner of the apartment.
01:30Now it is a part of an open space that includes the dining and living area.
01:36The bathroom was also small, so we moved it where the kitchen was originally.

01:54Upon entering the apartment, there is a floating shelf to store your keys.
02:00The entrance and hallway acts like a hub, connecting all the main rooms together.

02:21We chose to emphasize it by changing the floor material from natural oak wood to white oversized dials.

02:34We added a large metal frame above the sink to help divide the space but also keep it open at

02:46The countertop is white quartz and the cupboards are made from lacquered MDF.
02:54There is an integrated refrigerator, dishwasher, a standard size oven and a cabinet to hide electrical appliances.
03:08The dining area has a comfortable built-in floating wooden bench, a round table and two scandinavian chairs.

03:21The living room is a bright and cozy space that also leads to the balcony.
03:28There are two custom-built metal book shelves right as you enter.
03:33We choose metal as it is a thin material which allows us to maximize the storage space.
03:43Along the other wall is a custom low unit which also seamlessly extends into a floor-to-ceiling shelf.
03:52There is a comfortable custom-made sofa bed, an organic shaped coffee table and an oversized painting that defines the
04:02space.
04:04A wall-mounted TV allows for extra display space on the low unit. It also helps to visually open up
04:12the area in a small space.
04:17The sleeping area begins with a good size walking closet.
04:23As our client was coming from a bigger apartment, storage was important.
04:28This custom-made walk-in closet consists of full-height wardrobes with open and closed parts carefully designed to serve
04:38the client's needs.
04:41The sleeping area was designed to be a serene compact space with a bed, a fan on the ceiling, access
04:49to wardrobe space and some scandinavian art on the walls.
04:54The aim was to avoid any visual clutter and create a very minimalistic space.
05:01A wooden bed head along the back of the bed was used to accent the white walls.
05:10The bedroom has access to the balcony, which also helps bring natural light into the room.
05:22The bathroom design consists of simply lines in black and white with a touch of wood and lots of storage

05:32A mirror with storage behind spans across the wall of the bathroom, which reflects the light to further open up

05:42We decided to go with a floating toilet with the plumbing hidden within the walls to make the most of

05:50We added a couple of shelves into the shower wall that can light up to brighten up the area.

06:32Having young active professionals living in the central areas of Athens balances out the commercial properties
06:39within the city and acts as a way to maintain a vibrant neighborhood feel.
