00:00Look, we've made it really clear that the fuel excise relief won't go on forever,
00:06but that we will review it on a week-to-week basis to make sure
00:10that we're providing the support that we can responsibly provide.
00:14We've always said that that fuel excise relief will be temporary,
00:18it won't go on forever, but on a week-to-week basis we review it
00:23and that's what we've been doing and that's what we will continue to do
00:26until the end of the month.
00:27This is a really important part of our efforts to help take some of the edge off
00:32the costs and consequences of this war in the Middle East.
00:36Now if you think about fuel prices here in Brisbane,
00:39about $1.68 a litre for petrol at the moment,
00:43I think that's something like 90 cents cheaper than it was at the end of March
00:47and cheaper even than before the war began at the end of February.
00:52And so we've made a meaningful difference to this cost of living challenge
00:56by providing this temporary relief at the petrol bowser.
01:01That relief won't go on forever,
01:03but we will continue to review it between now and the end of the month.
