00:24Jordan Alvarez, old faithful, over one and a half total bases for Jordan,
00:29and I had this bet plugged in before the Tigers announced
00:32they were having to do a bullpen-type game tonight with Scratch in their starter,
00:36so I really like it now.
00:38Jordan over one and a half total bases.
00:40Next bet for the people, Mets at the Reds,
00:43over eight and a half runs between New York and Cincinnati in that one.
00:47And then your third and final best bet is going to be the Diamondbacks
00:50hosting the Angels.
00:51I got the D-backs winning this one tonight at minus 125 odds for Arizona.
00:56So Arizona to defeat the A-O-West foe L.A. Angels tonight.
01:01And those are your three best bets.
01:02You know, you said you definitely love it more that their starter jumped out,
01:09so it's going to be a bullpen game.
01:13Listen, if they're going to put the ball anywhere near the plate,
01:16I like his chances.
01:19But I don't love it more just because the odds are he's going to see a different
01:26pitcher every time he comes up tonight.
01:30I guess instead of, you know, getting to see.
01:35Now, he saw two different pitchers in the first inning on Friday night,
01:41and he hit two home runs for six RBIs on both pitchers.
01:46But that's the other thing is it's not like, ooh,
01:49I got one at-bat against this cat, and here we go.

03:21And he is hitting all over the order.
03:24Listen, I'm not going to lie to you.
03:25I don't think Cam.
03:26Cam Smith had a great start to the season.
03:28But Cam Smith, you were hoping it would be better than the slash line of 218, 303, and 365.
03:37You were hoping it would be better, or 356, excuse me.
03:41You were hoping it would be better than that and an OPS at 659.
03:47You would hope it would be better than that.
03:48But I think they've got a lot of like players and a lot of 4A guys,
03:56a lot of Sugar Land guys that have been going up and down, up and down.
04:00And he is one of the constants.
04:02He's probably the constant in the outfield, especially with the injury to Jake.
04:08But even though he is not playing great, swinging the bat great,
04:12he is playing right field damn near every day.
04:14He has played probably about four or five games he's played in right field.
04:18Again, today he's hitting seventh behind Taylor Trammell.
04:22Your thoughts on how they are handling their young guy,
04:27who I think they brought him in hoping this would be the next Bregman,
04:32the next Correa, the next Kyle Tucker.
04:34You know what I mean?
04:35I'm not saying those great, but those players where they've got all those guys
04:39in the line.
04:39Well, it's in their best interest if he turns into something even remotely close
04:44to any of those guys you mentioned.
04:45So, yeah, look, the only complaint that I have with Cam,
04:49the way that Cam's being handled is I just wish he was made a little bit more
04:53of a priority than let's call it the Jake Myers of the world
04:58and even the Yiner Diaz's of the world that may bat ninth one night
05:02and may bat sixth one night, you know, kind of just up and down.
05:05It fluctuates.
05:06And any time there's a righty on the mound and they squeeze in a lefty ahead of him,
05:10no matter who it is, like that left-handed bat is just, boy, that is priority.
05:14We've got to get this left-right thing going in that 5-6-7 range.
05:17You've got to get it going.
05:19I would just like to see him treated as a little bit more of a priority.
05:23Maybe not, obviously, the way that the top five in this lineup are,
05:28but right below it.
05:29Like right now, I'd like to see him in that sixth hole.
05:31When everybody's healthy and the lineup's right,
05:33I'd like to see him in the sixth hole.
05:34I'll be honest with you, he is one that I wouldn't mind them plugging him in
05:40higher up in the lineup to get him a little bit of protection
05:42to see if he could see some pitches
05:44and maybe even utilize that speed a little bit more on the base pass kind of deal.
05:48So I would like for him to be even a much bigger priority,
05:52but at the very least treat it better than just yo-yoing him up and down the lineup for me.
05:57That's my only complaint.
05:59Yeah, it's the yo-yoing up and down the lineup with guys that aren't great players.
06:08That aren't or even aren't proven players.

06:12Like, I do think, even though as I read his numbers, he is not,
06:17and someone texted, listeners texted,
06:19and it feels like he's been playing better the last 30 days.
06:27There's no, there's, like, Joey Loperfito has been injured and has just come back.
06:32Like, Taylor Trammell has been a guy that's been in this thing.
06:38What was the one kid, Zach, I can't remember his name.
06:43They sent him down, but he played in the infield, the outfield.
06:47He, Zach Cole, there you go, he has been involved in this thing.
06:52Lamont Wade Jr. has been involved for a couple games in this thing.
06:56There have been a lot of guys, to me, that are in and out, like, we'll see what they are.
07:02This dude is supposed to be, hopefully, the next.
07:07And I think you have to give some confidence in how you treat him.
07:12And to me, I think it's nuts.
07:15And I thought it was nuts for the psyche of, hey, man,
07:19you hit a triple that won a crazy comeback game against the Pirates.
07:24You had another two-out RBI hit earlier in that game.
07:28You could, there's one that could say you won the game.
07:31And then the next day, they trade for some dude in the White Sox.
07:38I mean, I apologize for calling Lamont Wade Jr., just some dude.
07:42But they trade for some cat that's in the White Sox AAA affiliate
07:47and has played the entire time there.
07:51And he comes right in, and he is above you in the water after that game.
07:56Like, to me, I think there is some part of playing, hey, Cam, we believe in you
08:02and we trust you.
08:02I can understand, Clint, if there are guys that are swinging the bat.
08:06Like, if Yiner ran the lineup every day and Yiner was swinging the bat,
08:10like we've seen Yiner swing the bat.
08:12All right, well, you've got to come behind you.
08:14And it's a different guy that could be in center and left field
08:18throughout the first several months with the injuries and everything they had.
08:21And I just don't think it's a good way of handling a guy
08:27that you're hoping will be the next kind of plug-in star, borderline star.
