00:01All right, H-Town. Today's picks are in. The choice is yours. Are you tailing?
00:11Forget the myths the media's created to just follow the money.
00:15Or fading?
00:17There is no nobility in poverty.
00:20It's time for T-Mills Best Bets on the Drive.
00:24I want you to deal with your problems by becoming rich!
00:28All right, it is that time, T-Mills Best Bets.
00:32Remember, you can find them all at Space on Twitter, at SpaceCitySharp.
00:40And he is, hey, two for four, orange yesterday.
00:46Yep, Jordan couldn't get going yesterday.
00:49What the hell, man?
00:51Yeah, sorry about that.
00:52Parades the night before, and then the slugger known as Jordan.
00:55Yeah, he couldn't get going.
00:56Two for seven on the week.
00:59Red.
01:00Can't win them all.
01:020 for three is an awful way to start.
01:05Maybe let Trace pick them this time.
01:07I don't know, man.
01:07Who knows?
01:08Ooh, that would have been a good idea.
01:09But he's going to try to get it turned around on a Wednesday here with T-Mills Best Bets.
01:14And we'll see what you got.
01:16What you got tonight?
01:16I got four more MLB picks on a hump day.
01:21Hopefully another improvement to three for four, four for four.
01:24And I don't want to involve your son in on these Best Bets thing, now that I think about it.
01:28That's a bad influence.
01:30It's a bad habit.
01:30So, Trey, don't wager on sports.
01:33Four Best Bets very quickly on a Wednesday with the drive.
01:37Astros, hometown squad.
01:39First bet tonight.
01:40Plus one run.
01:41No hook.
01:41Astros plus one at minus 125 odds.
01:44Eric Getty on the mound.
01:45I think they can get this series dubbed tonight in D.C.
01:47Second best bet is an under.
01:51The Royals.
01:53Trey, you hear that?
01:54Royals at the Mets under nine runs tonight.
01:58Royals have scored 15 and 16 runs the last two days.
02:02And they won 16 to 12 yesterday against the Mets.
02:06So, hopefully, maybe they slow down.
02:08Yeah, law of averages will slow down.
02:10And then your third best bet, another plus one run this time for the Boston Reds.
02:17Chicago taking on the White Sox, who are having a surprisingly good baseball season.
02:21But I like the Red Sox plus one run.
02:23And then your fourth and final best bet is plus a run and a half.
02:27With that hook for the St. Louis Cardinals, as they're going to be hosting the Milwaukee Brewers this evening.
02:32Those are your four best bets.
02:35Unders and dogs, huh?
02:37Yeah.
02:37Playing around now.
02:38Wow.
02:39That's a ring to it.
02:39One might say that's the winning way.
02:43That's right.
02:43Oh, it is.
02:45All we need is a four for four in this week is right back.
02:47Right back.
02:48You're right back at it.
02:49Let's go.
02:49Right back at it.
02:50Four for four.
02:51That's all he needs.
02:51All right.
02:52Again, you can find T-Mills Best Bets daily at Space City Sharp.
02:59Check that out.
03:00And do what you will.
03:01What did you pause for?
03:02You had it.
03:03I had a little spit in my mouth.
03:05I had a spit in my mouth.
03:06Yep.
03:06About to be a fresh fish.
03:09Yeah, that one.
03:10Whoa!
03:11That was weird.
03:12That's like an ultra jinx.
03:14We knew you were doing it.
03:15Fresh fish.
03:16Coming up after we get done, people who speak the language better than I do, Mark Vandermeer,
03:21John Harris.
03:23Again, John Harris, top five black movies, number five, Stomp the Yard.
03:26That's coming up behind us as AFC South training camp storylines to watch.
03:33They will discuss.
03:35And then afterwards, Area 45, Sean Bajani, Patrick Creighton, and our guy, our guy, Seabass,
03:42Mid-Sea.
03:44Collins in the building.
03:45They will be holding it down for you.
03:47I already got my fist bump.
03:49You got yours?
03:50I got mine from him, too.
03:51Oh, yeah.
03:52Yep.
03:52I got mine from him, too.
03:53And they will have a little baseball tonight.
03:56This game, Joe, as this game comes to an end, as the Astros look to win this series in
04:02Washington.
04:02A lot of people who say Washington like that.
04:05In Washington.
04:07Yeah.
04:08So we are live and local right here on Sports Radio 610 until 11 o'clock.
04:12So hang in with this.
04:14By the way, a bit of an end to the story.
04:19Speaking of questionable father decisions, Tim Hardaway, senior, was a real hard ass on
04:30now, man.
04:32Yeah, I know Tim got signed to the Miami Heat.
04:34He's worn number 10 his whole life in honor of me.
04:37But he ain't wearing this 10.
04:39His jersey, who has been, is retired in the rafters at American Airlines Arena in Miami.
04:47He is, he was so serious and said it's his legacy.
04:51He needs to find his own legacy and was not going to allow his jersey to be unretired for
04:56his son to wear.
04:59Well, Tim Hardaway Jr. got introduced today and Pat Riley personally with the introduction
05:05and they had a jersey for him.
05:06Tyler, guess what number he was wearing?
05:09Tell me.
05:1010.
05:11His ass was wearing 10 is what he was wearing.
05:13And they, and the explanation, he said, I'm just going to leave it at this.
05:19When talked to by the media, I think the first go around, it was a personal decision.
05:26The second go around, it was a family decision.
05:30A what?
05:32I told you.
05:34I told you.
05:35Yeah.
05:36I sought out.
05:37All right.
05:38I said, if, if, if, if Tim Hardaway senior at the time, I did not know, I said, if he
05:44is still with Tim Hardaway Jr.'s mother and they are still married, there's no way this
05:53is flying.
05:55He's wearing the damn jersey and I don't have to give it to Brandon Scott, who was on with
06:00us earlier at 440.
06:01What a great line he had earlier this week.
06:04You mean to tell me that the guy is good enough for you to give him your name, but you
06:09can't
06:09let him wear your damn jersey for the next year or two.
06:12Well played.
06:13Well played.
06:14Well played.
06:14Your number the next year or two.
06:16But yeah, Yolanda, Yolanda Hardaway is the reason why this became a family decision the
06:24second go around.
06:25Yeah, that's exactly what he said.
06:26She probably, that's exactly what he said.
06:27There's no way, right?
06:28She ain't spoke to his ass and since that fool came out and said that, she ain't spoke to
06:32his ass.
06:33This is what you're going to do?
06:34Yeah, girl.
06:35Yeah, I don't think that needed a Google meet scheduled on everybody's calendar.
06:41I think that was a mom and daddy conversation and mama won.
06:46I mean, what an a-hole move that is anyway.
06:49Anyway.
06:49I mean, what a real a-hole move, man.
06:53I mean, come on.
06:55That man said it was a personal decision to start.
07:02What a great line by him.
07:05We'll leave it at that.
07:06We'll leave it at that.
07:07It was a personal decision the first go around.
07:08I think the second time it was a family decision.
07:11We'll leave it at that.
07:12Solid, solid.
07:13Well done, Junior.
07:14Well done.
07:15Yeah, Tim Senior's eight times this week.
07:23She put her foot down.
07:25She put her foot down.
07:26Yeah, what a fool.
07:28All right.
07:30We'll be talking about potentially defensive tackles.
07:33I'm not certain if we'll see any Texans show up in the defensive tackle spot tomorrow.
07:40ESPN Jeremy Fowler will do the top ten and honorable mention and others receiving votes on the defensive tackle.
07:47I don't think.
07:48I don't know.
07:49Maybe Sheldon Rankins, who had multiple touchdowns last year.
07:52I don't know.
07:53Maybe he gets in the receiving vote.
07:55I don't know.
07:57We'll see.
07:58I don't think so.
07:59But today, they did defensive ends.
08:02And no team had two others in the top ten.
08:06No team had two others in the top 13.
08:10And the Texans had two of the top six.
08:12With Will Anderson at three and Daniil Hunter at six.
08:16And then you look at yesterday, they had two of the top corners, one at two and one at 11.
08:22And you could argue that Kamari Laster could have easily been into the top ten when you start to look
08:27at the guys at the back half of that.
08:30When you look at the combination of that, Clint, everybody's looking for a shutdown corner.
08:38They've got two potential top 11 corners.
08:41Everybody's looking for dominant pass rushers coming off the edge.
08:45They've got two of the most dominant pass rushers, both on the same team.
08:51That is something that you want to do and something that is just so unique to have both of those
09:00on one team.
09:01Well, I think the beautiful thing about it as a Texans fan is that it's not all players, right?
09:07I mean, the players are great.
09:08Don't get me wrong.
09:08I'm not taking anything away from those guys.
09:10But I don't think Kamari Lasseter is Kamari Lasseter if he's not in this system and getting, you know, obviously
09:19the coaching and the scheme from D'Amico Ryans.
09:23I don't know that Will Anderson or Daniil Hunter are as good as they are, productive as they are over
09:29the last couple of years.
09:30If they're not part of a system that overall truly puts players in position to play to their strengths and
09:38gets them one-on-one matchups and advantageous matchups in order to go out and make big-time plays.
09:44And so the beautiful part of it is it's a combination of we've got one of the best schemers, one
09:49of the best play callers on the defensive side of the ball in D'Amico Ryans.
09:53And he's found a way to either pay and bring in the Daniil Hunters of the world or draft and
09:59develop the Stingley, Anderson, Kamari Lasseters of the world.
10:03He knows exactly what he wants, what kind of skill set he wants.
10:05He knows exactly when he gets them and when he goes and gets them, he knows exactly how to use
10:11them.
10:11And he develops them as well as anybody in the league.
10:14So it is a very, very convincing product.
10:18It's just not one of those like, oh, boy, you know, it's just dependent on that one player having an
10:24elite skill set, which they do.
10:26I'm just, in general, I think it's a two-way street here or a double-edged sword here where, boy,
10:33you're getting hit with great scheme, great development, along with extremely talented.
10:38Usually that's got some pretty significant staying power.
10:41Yeah, yeah, that, I mean, that is, I mean, to have two of both levels of something that teams are,
10:53like, you know, to be frank with you, the Chiefs don't have either right now.
10:58Like, I mean, confidently, like, and that is a team that is a contender.
11:02Well, they don't have any, they don't have anyone that you look and say, all right, man, I mean, their
11:07best is George Karloftis and the kid they just drafted.
11:09The only position on defense that they're not going to have somebody in the top ten is going to be
11:13interior defense.
11:13The one tomorrow?
11:14Yeah.
11:15I mean, you look at nickel defender, definitely one at safety.
11:20And, you know, depending on how you couch a nickel defender, Aziz is going to be there.
11:24Aziz is going to be in the top five.
11:26Petrie, depending on how, that's what I'm saying, depending on how you couch, is it a nickel defender have their
11:30own category, or are they considered safety?
11:32Are they considered linebacker?
11:33Like, how do you do that?
11:34But either way, you slice it, I mean, Petrie's going to be in it in some form or fashion.
11:39Yeah.
11:39I wouldn't be surprised if Henry wasn't receiving votes when it comes to interior linebackers.
11:44Based on his play, he probably should.
11:46Yeah.
11:46Yeah.
11:47I wouldn't be surprised either.
11:49All right, B. Scott, we appreciate you.
11:51Thanks to my son, Trey, who was a part of the show as well.
11:54You got a hose.
11:56Listen, man, you just got to, hey, the game is played the way the game is played.
