00:01All right, H-Town, today's picks are in.
00:07The choice is yours.
00:09Are you tailing?
00:11Forget the myths the media's created have just followed the money.
00:16Or fading?
00:17There is no nobility in poverty.
00:20It's time for T-Mills Best Bets on the Drive.
00:24I want you to deal with your problems by becoming rich.
00:31That's right.
00:32It's a Monday with the Drive.
00:34No Ron the Show Hughley.
00:36We got Mr. Morrow, Luke Morrow, riding with Clint Sterner,
00:39and yours truly, Tyler Milner, on the Drive right here.
00:42And every day around this time, I give you some best bets.
00:45Usually Ron gives me hell, tells me how much he hates them
00:48and how they're not going to hit, but not today.
00:50I can try to do it.
00:53I was looking forward to the break of getting told how bad I am on Mondays.
00:58You get a good reminder.
01:00Yeah, yeah, that's all it is.
01:02Your bets get reported in the review mirror.
01:04Well, these three best bets for you people,
01:08they're around baseball, Major League Baseball action tonight,
01:10and I had to change it up a bit because my third best bet
01:13was a Jeremy Pena bet on the total amount of bases he would have for the Astros tonight.
01:18And, well, if you haven't heard, he's not playing.
01:20Has some leg discomfort.
01:21We'll talk more about that later.
01:23Three best bets on a Monday first, the Brewers' money line.
01:27They are hosting the Cincinnati Reds.
01:29The Brewers are just very, very good at home, and they're playing in Milwaukee.
01:33They have the advantage at starter tonight with Gasser on the mound.
01:36Second best bet, Angels at the Mariners.
01:40Little AL West action for you.
01:42Under seven and a half runs.
01:44I know that is a low number.
01:46People don't freak out.
01:47If you want to win some money, bet under seven and a half for the Angels of Anaheim
01:51or Los Angeles and the Mariners.
01:53Mariners' starting pitcher George Kirby is killing it this season,
01:57and the Angels right now are just, well, they suck,
01:59and they don't even have Mike Trout because he spends all his time on the injured list.
02:03So under seven and a half between those two,
02:05and then your third and final best bet replacing you is the big fellow Old Faithful.
02:11Over one and a half total bases for Yordan Alvarez and the Astros against the Twins tonight
02:17as that series gets underway later on.
02:19Over one and a half bases at minus 135 odds for Yordan.
02:23Lock that one in.
02:24Get yourself some money.
02:25Those are your three best bets, boys.
02:28I like it.
02:29Hey, Yordan, I think, is 0 for his last 13, so he's due.
02:32He's due.
02:33Hope he breaks out tonight.
02:35I do, too, for your sake, T.
02:37Oh, he is.
02:38Don't worry.
02:39One swing of the bat, money.
02:41We know that's all it takes.
02:42It's true.
02:44Nice to knock that out right away, first at bat.
02:46And I am with you on the Brewers' money line.
02:48I had bet that earlier, so I hope for both of our sakes.
02:52Hopefully that comes through.
02:53Hopefully I don't miss you.
02:53You do a little betting, huh?
02:55Sounds like you do quite a bit of betting.
02:57No, I'll take a little.
02:58You can say a little.
02:59My parents might be listening.
03:00I do a little betting.
03:03Hey, Luke Sorsby.
03:05I mean, you've got to be careful here, man.
03:07I mean, come on.
03:08Hey, don't.
03:09Speaking of that, real quick.
03:10Real quick, T.
03:11I mean, I've been wanting to talk about this for a minute.
03:14The Brendan Sorsby deal out there and the amount of bets.
03:19When folks see the amount of bets that Sorsby made, and even the number and the dollar amount,
03:32y'all are both bettors, obviously.
03:33Did either shock y'all?
03:37Honestly, I have to look up the numbers.
03:39I don't recall them.
03:40But these guys always have such high amounts.
03:42I was.
03:43I was floored by the, not even necessarily the dollar amount, but just the amount of place bets.
03:50I mean, that made me look like a chump.
03:52And I place a lot of wagers each and every day.
03:55But I mean, I bet you, I mean, I bet you you're a lot.
03:59I mean, those, your numbers are, would be viewed as what the hell is going on.
04:04If at the end of the year, somebody looked at how many bets you place in 365 days.
04:08Yes, yeah.
04:09And, you know, the book I place my bets through, a buddy of mine from A&M runs this private
04:15local book.
04:16I would like to think he'd be like, yo, bro, what the hell?
04:19What is going on with you, man?
04:21You need to pump the damn brakes, brother.
04:24But that's what, like, no doubt the numbers, both the money and the, is, I mean, to somebody that doesn't
04:30bet,
04:30it's like, holy cow.
04:33Yeah.
04:33Right?
04:33But, like, even, you're a betting man.
04:35Like, you weren't blown, like, you were like, how do you accomplish that?
04:38Right?
04:39Like, how do you make that many bets?
04:40How do you study enough?
04:42Right.
04:43You're not.
04:43You're being a degenerate and working your fingers to the bone, just getting in action day to day.
04:49Right.
04:49I mean, when Ron told me those numbers, I literally stopped and was like, holy crap.
04:54Right.
04:54But, like, I guess where I'm going with it is, like, the sheer number looks crazy.
04:59But if you look at how these guys, I mean, you can bet, I mean, it's advertised.
05:03You can bet as a dollar.
05:05You can bet a dollar on this or a dollar on that.
05:07But all the apps that are in your hand, I mean, you can bet, you can make 15 or 20
05:13bets
05:13in a night.
05:14Right at your fingertips.
05:15I mean, right there.
05:16So, I mean, to get to, think about it, to get to 3,000 or even 6,000, 7,000
05:22bets in a
05:23year, that's not crazy.
05:25No.
05:25Yeah.
05:25So, the numbers I see, 2,900 bets in dollars, which I just did the math, that's like $10
05:31a bet.
05:32Right.
05:32But 2,900 bets.
05:342,900, like, that's not a lot of bets.
05:36No.
05:36Divided by 365 days, eight bets.
05:38So, you're making, on average, eight bets a day for 10 bucks a piece.
05:42Right.
05:43Not crazy.
05:44But if you make a run, if you make a run, like, if you're betting, obviously not betting,
05:48he was betting bigger money, but, like, you have a good, you go on a bender on a weekend.
05:52Yeah.
05:53I mean, a gambling bender.
05:54Right, right, right.
05:54On a weekend, you could throw up 50 bets.
05:57Yeah.
05:57I mean, when I was betting college football, it's easy to get into a position, and I wasn't
06:02addicted, I could stop at any time, but it's easy to get into a position on a college weekend,
06:06have you a good morning on Saturday morning, hit you a couple of bets, and go, well, I'm
06:12hot, let me get about 10 bets in this evening.
06:14It'd be easy to run up north of 10, 15 bets.
06:17Easy.
06:17Oh, absolutely.
06:18Yeah, especially at college football Saturday, like you said.
06:20I mean, there's, like, what, 200 games if you count, like, FCS, FBS, all of it.
06:25So, yeah.
06:26And let you mess around and have a good Saturday.
06:28If you don't think Sunday I'm fixing to get me 10 in, you're crazy.
06:31Yeah.
06:31I mean, so, I get, like, my overall point is, like, I think a lot of the outrage about Sorsby
06:36is, like, people that don't bet don't understand how you could do that.
06:39But anybody that's not addicted, or maybe doesn't even bet the way that as often as
06:43Tyler bets, but just, if you've never gotten into sports gambling, like, it's not hard
06:49to get to 2,900 bets.
06:50No, not over the course of a year.
06:52I bet you Tyler's close.
06:54T, I bet you're close.
06:55Over 365 days, I bet you're close.
06:57He just said it.
06:58It might have been at one point, I'm pretty sure.
07:01Do you do eight on average, eight per day on average, would you say?
07:05Or is that too high?
07:06When we started doing best bets, I was facing somewhere from eight to 15 bets a day.
07:12Okay.
07:13So, yeah, if you kept up that pace, you'd be in Sorsby territory.
07:16Right.
07:16Not the case anymore, though.
07:18I mean, and maybe Tyler does.
07:20Maybe he's diagnosed.
07:21I don't think he's got a mental health issue.
07:23I don't think Tyler is addicted.
07:26Some may say the numbers would say he is.
07:28I think he could stop at any point in time if he wanted to.
07:30Just doesn't want to.
07:31Yeah, I have my fair share in my fun of mental health issues, but that is not one of them.
07:37Right.
07:37So, that's a good thing.
07:39So, I don't know.
07:40I mean, every time we talked about it, it was so serious at the time and there was so much
07:43to report that it was like we didn't have five minutes to squeeze.
07:46I was always wondering, like, Tyler's, like, thoughts of, like, I know, like, my wife would
07:52be like 2,900 bets.
07:53Oh, my God.
07:54How the hell do you do?
07:54But to somebody that actually bet, like, you think you hit 2,900 a year?
07:58Yes.
08:00Leave no doubt.
08:03Hey, Luke was going to sit here and let me ask you and calculate your bets knowing damn
08:08good and well he's sitting over here over 2,900 easy.
08:12He said, yeah.
08:12That's right.
08:13Yeah.
08:13Yeah.
08:14I think it's time for Texas.
08:19But, yeah, like, that just, that doesn't surprise me.
08:23It wouldn't surprise me if either one of y'all, and I'm not, look, hell, I wish I had the
08:27discipline to just dabble in it like that.
08:29I mean, hell, I get, I get to where I double the money.
08:32I mean, I try to double the bet just to get back on top.
08:35Scared money don't make money.
08:37That's right.
08:38Oh, man, I tell you.
08:40But Soresby probably should have been a little more scary.
08:42Yeah, I mean, look, the Soresby piece that's wild is betting on the team that you're in
08:46the locker room with.
08:47I forget that you weren't, but the fact that you were in the training room with the quarterback
08:51who was hurt and you're placing bets, that's the wild part.
08:54So it's not the money, the amount, or the number of bets is not, like, I think those
08:59numbers, Tyler, hell, if they surprise you, I think they shock the hell out of Ron, who
09:03never bets.
09:04Like, show never bets.
09:05I bet in his mind he was like, oh, my, I mean, this is unbelievable.
09:10I must not add to replace a water heater.
09:12Well, I thought Tyler, he must not be paying his own water bill.
09:17Oh, that is great.
09:18Well, and then you also hear the big number, like, he gambled $30,000.
09:21That sounds like a lot, but what it doesn't account for is, like, the wins and then you
09:24reinvest that.
09:25So it's not like a total of $30,000.
09:27Yeah, that's just the amount placed, right?
09:30I mean, you could place $30,000 worth of bets and lose $1,200 total.
09:36Right, right, right.
09:36They're just reporting the amount of money that was placed, not the amount of money that
09:41was actually won or lost.
09:42Yeah, so it sounds like a big number, but it's not quite as big.
09:45I assume not quite as big as it seems.
09:47Right.
09:47So anyways, hey, Texans All-Access coming up in just a few minutes here, top of the
09:52hour.
09:53John Harris, Mark Vandermeer, and they'll be talking why Jaden Higgins is the X-Factor for
09:58the Texans this season.
09:59After that, Area 45 from 7 to 11 tonight.
10:03Sean Bajani, Patrick Creighton, Seabass in the house.
10:05They got you covered tonight from 7 to 11.
10:09Are we done?
10:09That's right.
10:10It goes fast.
10:11Time flies when you're having fun.
10:13Come on, man.
10:13Appreciate you, big dog.
10:14Hey, appreciate you guys letting me hang with you.
10:16Ron will be back tomorrow.
10:18I'm Luke Morrow for Clint Sterner, Tyler Milner.
10:20Appreciate you hanging with us on this Monday.

10:29It's here at The Drive.
10:40Brought to you by...

10:43Hey, Cleavis!
