00:00All right, let's do it right now.
00:02Tyler Milner, he is 3-for-3, in the green, 100%.
00:10A big Monday, is this back-to-back Perfect Mondays?
00:13Yes, it is.
00:14It is back-to-back Perfect Mondays.
00:16He is doing T-Mills Best Bets.
00:19And remember, you can find those on Twitter,
00:22at SpaceCitySharp, at SpaceCitySharp.
00:27You can find those bets if you want to jump on with them.
00:31He's hot.
00:32Boy, he gets a green Monday, man.
00:34This might be a big-time week.
00:37This might be a big-time week.
00:38So what you got tonight as we do a little bit more MLB bets?
00:41Yeah, looking to make it 6-for-6 Perfection through two days this week.
00:46Got three more Major League Baseball bets for tonight on a Tuesday.
00:49First bet for you, no squad in baseball this season thus far.
00:54Hits overs more than the Washington Nationals at a 65% clip.
01:00That is why you're going to want to bet on the Nationals and the Royals
01:04over eight-and-a-half runs tonight.
01:06Just entirely two overs often as the Nationals are hitting that over in 2026.
01:11I like over eight-and-a-half between Kansas City and the Nationals.
01:15Second best bet tonight, same bet, two different teams.
01:19They're right here in town.
01:20Tigers at the Astros, game two of three at the Dyken tonight.
01:24Over eight-and-a-half runs in that one as well.
01:27And then your third and final best bet also within the Astros' action tonight.
01:30Jose Altuve, the Strogoat, been heating up a bit here lately over the last three games,
01:35hitting over 300 for his batting average, two home runs.
01:39Strogoat over one-and-a-half total bases for Tuve against the Tigers, the Tiggers tonight.
01:46Those are your three best bets.
01:49Hopefully, Jose can rebound from the last time you threw him in this one-and-a-half bases,
01:55I believe, last week.
01:56Yeah.
01:57He can rebound on that.
01:59He's rested.
02:00He's rested, man.
02:01You better hope them damn Nationals are carrying it.
02:04Royals ain't scoring no damn run.
02:06Maybe they'll be like the Cincinnati Reds last night who got that over all by them.
02:09At least if E-Mai's not out there.
02:13Mm-hmm.
02:15Struggling.
02:15So there it is, your best bets at Space, City Sharp, T-Mills best bets.
02:20We do it every single night almost.
02:23And we've had one miss.
02:28I mean, you're 99.9.
02:29I mean, come on now.
02:31Right?
02:31One miss.
02:32One miss.
02:33So stay.
02:34You better not let him forget, Tyler.
02:36Don't let him forget.
02:36Don't let him off the hook now.
02:39Don't let me forget, man.
02:40Yeah, stay there.
02:40Hopefully we can get another winning day coming out of T-Mills.
02:44All right.
02:44Coming up behind us, Texans All-Access, Mark Vandermeer, John Harris,
02:51Lisa Walker from CBO Houston details the fan voting for the Houston volleyball team name.
02:58So you get involved in that.
03:00And I'm sure the fellas will have much, much more concerning the Texans.
03:05But stay tuned for that, Houston's new volleyball team.
03:09Got a chance to give you the details how you can be a part of naming that team,
03:14as well as Area 45 coming up behind us, or behind Texans All-Access, excuse me,
03:217 to 11, Sean Bajani, Patrick Creighton, and our guy, Mitzi O'Collin in the building.
03:30And as we said earlier, they're going to sit down with old Thunder Rosa, former AEW women's champion,
03:37as AEW is in town.
03:39So stay tuned for that coming up on Area 45 live and local after we get done until 11 o
03:48'clock right here live on the drive.
03:51We were just talking about Davis Mills on the other side, and listen, I, you know, obviously I'm not going
03:56to speak for Clint.
03:57We don't always agree on things, but I have seen this going now a couple of times on this text
04:04line.
04:05Sam Darnold just did it last year.
04:07Sam Darnold is damn near better, is no damn better than Davis Mills.
04:14Listen, again, I'm not going to speak for Clint, I'll speak for myself.
04:17I just, I don't think those two players, right now, those two players are in the same space,
04:26especially coming off what Sam did two years ago in Minnesota going into next year.
04:33I just don't think that Davis Mills and Sam Darnold are in the same space.
04:37So if your, if your thought process is look at Sam Darnold, I don't know if I, I can't get
04:45with that.
04:47No, no, look, Sam Darnold is, is significantly more gifted.
04:50High five pick.
04:51I mean, he's significantly more gifted than, than Davis Mills.
04:55I mean, Davis Mills is, is going to have to win with less arm, but he's going to have to
05:00win in similar fashion.
05:02I mean, I, the, the one thing that, the one thing that we know, you know, that, that Sam Darnold
05:06had, um, outside, outside of just a, a bigger arm, uh, is, is you're talking about the years that he
05:14put together was with two of the best offensive play callers in the game at the time.
05:17Um, and, and so there's, there's pieces there that, that, that make that, make that, uh, a bit different.
05:23Um, obviously the, the, the talent level, he, he is, he is legitimately a, a top five and always has
05:30been by the way, a top five caliber, uh, talent.
05:34Um, obviously when he's seeing ghosts and he's playing in dysfunctional organizations, that you're looking at Adam Gase as your,
05:40yeah, it was hard to find and see that, but I mean, he's, yeah.
05:43So he, he's, he's dealing, he's playing with a, a, a, a little bigger, a little bigger gun than, than,
05:49than Davis Mills is.
05:50I believe, um, yeah, I mean, that's, that's, that's the reality, but, but, um, you know, I mean, but to
06:02be honest with you, and I'm not saying that this is why Sam did or didn't win a super bowl,
06:05but I mean, the, the, the, what would have to happen for Davis Mills to win a super bowl?
06:11And, and it would be that level defense, that level wide receiver play, that level play caller, that level run
06:18game.
06:18I mean, that, that would be ultimately the, the, uh, I think the formula.
06:24So, so there's, I mean, if you want to, if you want to go that route, there's a conversation.
06:27Yeah.
06:28I wouldn't like the chances.
06:30Uh, could happen.
06:31I wouldn't like the chances.
06:33Matt Stafford putting up 38 on you.
06:35You got to find a way to, to, to get it back when you're, you're, uh, your difference.
06:41But again, as I said, is it an, is, is it on the board?
06:46If CJ Stroud in some way doesn't work out and the Texans and CJ don't come to terms, I think
06:52it is on the board of him being an option.
06:55Again, I hope that is not the case.
06:57I think the best chances and opportunity is for the Texans to build upon getting to CJ sealant, you know,
07:06over not just next year, but into the future.
07:09But again, realistically, that is definitely on the table.
07:12All right, Clint, you said something we talked about earlier.
07:15We did a little, uh, real or fake.
07:17And I said, Keelan Rutledge and Caden McDonald will both be starters, uh, by week one against Buffalo.
07:24You said, you said it's fake and you said it not just fake.
07:27I believe the correct words were it's, it's fake as hell is, uh, is what you said.
07:33Uh, and is that, if that comes true, because I, in fact, I think you said neither one of them
07:41in your, your opinion would start.
07:43You thought Tommy would start with Sheldon Rankins on the inside and you have been, uh, been expressing your thoughts
07:51of, Hey, be, be aware of this.
07:53This may not happen with Rutledge on that offensive line.
07:56And then for good measure, you threw in the second, second round pick and Marlon Klein as well.
08:00But if that occurs to where Keelan Rutledge and Caden McDonald don't either one of them are starters in that
08:09week one, is that an issue for you?
08:12Is that, is that problematic?
08:14Obviously we'll see how it got there, but is that an issue for you that neither your first or second
08:20round pick top two picks in the draft that you drafted and have spots that could be available to be
08:30taken by guys that you drafted and neither one of them are starters?
08:34Well, it's one that unfortunately I would have to complain about in hindsight.
08:39I look, I just, you know, if, if your O-line ads in the off season from a free agent
08:47perspective pan out, um, then you, you really don't need a rookie at center.
08:55And you can afford to have a guy like Jake Andrews that knows the offense that's, that's maybe has a
09:01lower ceiling from a physicality standpoint than the, than the rookie, but you know, you're going to, you're going to
09:06be, the direction's going to be right up front.
09:08Um, you, you, you don't necessarily need that, but, but here's the deal.
09:11If all of those pieces don't work out, I'm not talking about Jake Andrews.
09:14I'm talking about if, if, if the, the two guards and the right tackle that you added, if that doesn't
09:21bear in the running back, if that doesn't bear fruit in the run game.
09:26And on top of that, you drafted with your most valuable draft pick, an offensive lineman.
09:33That's not good enough to crack that, that, that starting lineup.
09:38Then I think some folks got to be called to the carpet, right?
09:42The defensive side of it, I'm not worried about.
09:44No, the defensive side, he's, he's going to be a major part of their rotation.
09:48He's going to be a major part of the rotation.
09:50And, and I, and I think the more we talked about it, I'm not sure that you don't see him
09:54and Tommy Togiai start.
09:55Just because on first and second down, they're, they're the bigger run stoppers.
09:58And in week one against Buffalo, stopping that downhill run game is going to be, going to be paramount.
10:03So I could see those, I could actually see McDonald's starting.
10:08I don't think it's going to happen, but I could see it.
10:10The key was, you think it's more likely that you would, you would put your money more likely on McDonald's?
10:15Absolutely.
10:16I could, I could, I could see them saying Tommy Togiai and, and Kate, that guy right there.
10:24Thank you, Mark.
10:24And Caden McDonald are going to be our first and second down interior defensive linemen.
10:30And then we're going to rotate.
10:32We're going to, Sheldon Rankins, I need you fresh when the game's on the line.
10:35I need you fresh when it's obvious passing situations.
10:38I need you in there being able to penetrate and, and, and wreak havoc in the backfield.
10:43Like I could see them and he's older.
10:46So keep, you know, keeping the, keeping the rep count down early in the season and early in games,
10:50I think is going to be big.
10:51So yeah, I could see Caden McDonald being a, a surely a rotational piece, but a starter out of the
10:58gate on first
10:59and second down, particularly against teams like, like Buffalo, who are going to want to run the,
11:02run the football to set the tone.
11:03But, but the, the, uh, Keelan Rutledge pieces is the one that, um, man, that's just a, uh,
11:11that is a huge gamble if he is, if, if he is the guy against Buffalo right out of the
11:16gate.
11:16I mean, it's, it's just, especially as, as much as we've heard from everybody in the organization
11:22about this communication piece and the command of the offense piece, when that's a problem
11:27with a veteran that knows the offense, like the back of his hand to take that guy out of the
11:32mix
11:32and plug in a rookie that's never played center, just doesn't seem to be ideal.
11:37I know you like his physicality, not you, I know, I know, I know D'Amico and, and I know
11:40they like his physicality and that's great, but I've said it a million times.
11:45I need that center to be the communicator, the communicator.
11:50Very rarely is he going to be a guy that you're just, they're going to put somebody over your
11:54head.
11:54You're going to have to deal one-on-one with that guy.
11:56Um, the physicality piece is nice if you can find it and work his way into it, but
12:01that would be a huge gamble given what problems exist in Houston.
12:06Yeah.
12:07That's the one I'm worried about starting or not starting.
12:11I guess there could be, that, that would be a, that would be kind of interesting when
12:17we've heard D'Amico say, man, first and second round draft picks, we expect them to be starters.
12:22And there is a potential that, that maybe neither, especially in your eyes, as you can
12:27see, neither could potentially.
12:29Well, you look up in, in offensive, you had two, you had a first and a second round pick
12:32on the offensive side of the football.
12:34If neither one of those guys are helping this team win games in the first against Buffalo
12:37opening day, that's, that, that's an interesting approach.
12:40That means, man, the guys, man, the guys they had were something else.
12:44Better work out.
12:44Clint, great job.
12:45Tyler, great job as always.
12:47Shout out to everybody who kept, uh, kept helping us, uh, kind of get through some things
12:53today.
12:53I am Ron, the show Hughley, as always, Houston.
12:57We love you, baby.
13:06I don't know if strawberries go to.
13:07I'm a big strawberry guy.
13:08I don't know if that's it.
13:09Peaches, peaches.
13:10I don't like peaches.
13:11A lot of people do tomatoes, don't they?
13:12Yeah, I've seen that with tomatoes.
13:14I do.
13:14I'm peaches.
13:15You're actually peaches, but I, I like peaches.
13:17I'm not peaches.
13:18I don't like peaches at all.
13:19Didn't you have that nickname at one point?
13:20No.
13:21Didn't he have that nickname at one point?
13:23Peaches Hughley.
13:23That's what I thought.
13:24I thought I heard that somewhere.
13:25It's a tremendous nickname.
13:26I'm glad we got rid of that dude.
13:28I didn't even say my last name correctly.
13:30Hughley.
13:30That's how he makes it better.
13:32Jackass.
13:33Sorry, Greg.
13:33The wet mouth.
13:35Greg can kiss my ass.
13:36I bet he loved, I bet he loved you every time Tyler had him be one of those.
13:39Yeah, I'll get another one.
13:40Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
13:47Brought to you by just the greatest producer in the world, Tyler T. Mill.
