00:00Jacob Mizorowski in particular is getting a lot of attention because he struck out 15 batters in
00:05a complete game one hitter to beat the Phillies on Friday night. One year to the day from his
00:11Major League Baseball debut. If you remember one year ago, he made his debut and a month later,
00:16he was in the All-Star Game. But right now, Joe, he's not just in the All-Star Game. It
00:20would
00:20appear that there's certainly a chance that he could end up winning the Cy Young. Let's hear
00:25from Pat Murphy, the manager of the Milwaukee Brewers on The Miz. Amazing. Amazing young
00:32man. Really is, you know, Forrest Gump-like. You know what I mean? It's just, he's amazingly
00:39real, naive to a lot of things, and it's beautiful. You know, he just goes out and lets it eat.
00:47Yeah, he's been fantastic, Joe. But, you know, this is going to be like an award season for
00:53the ages across the league because, yes, it's fun to have Otani winning MVP and Judge winning
00:59MVP and the same Cy Youngs. But we're going to get so many different players winning awards
01:04this season. And in particular, I guess I would ask you, do you think that it is better to bank
01:10on Christopher Sanchez, who you know, and I understand we'll talk about yesterday, but
01:16who's going to go eight, nine innings like almost every time? Or is it better to bank on the guy
01:21that
01:21throws 105 miles an hour? I mean, that seems to be like a tenuous pick to try and take a
01:27guy like
01:27that. I don't know which way this is going to go. Well, he's just two totally different pitchers,
01:35right? Two totally different styles. Miz, the way Schwarber, Trey Turner, and Bryce Harper struck
01:42out to start that game, their faces alone going up against 104, 105 mile an hour fastballs, and then
01:50he's throwing these off speed pitches, which was just, it was laughable. He reminds me of kind of
01:57a throwback. It feels like the old Nolan Ryan days, right? If they can keep this kid healthy, I don't
02:03think anybody's in his class. The problem, though, and you notice, Craig, that's a big if. A guy that
02:09throws, you know, a half dozen, you know, six to eight hundred plus mile an hour fastballs every game
02:16is, it's going to be worth keeping an eye on. If they can keep him healthy, I think it's his
02:22award.
02:23But Sanchez is a guy, like you said, I mean, yesterday was the first time we haven't seen
02:28him in how long, not go at least seven innings. So, two totally different types of pitchers,
02:33but health is going to play a big role in how far Miz can go.
