00:00Слаб кар down here in turn three.
00:01That's Casey Mears in the 62.
00:04That might present the 11 an opportunity
00:06to get side-by-side with Larson.
00:08Let's see what happens.
00:10Larson's got to go to the top of the track
00:12to stay out of the dirty air of the 62.
00:14Denny's going to go to the bottom.
00:16Now the 62 is going to slow down to five.
00:18Here we are, side-by-side.
00:21And listen to the crowd.
00:22Sold out here.
00:24Denny's going to clear.
00:25Denny Hamlin back to the lead.
00:28Clear, clear, clear.
00:29Stay back to the lead.
00:30Started on the pole.
00:31And he's leading for the first time today
00:33after Larson got the early advantage.
00:3511 on point, getting it done late in the stage.
00:40Larson just doesn't have the turn.
00:42He needs to kind of take the fight back to him there
00:44on the inside of turn one.
00:46Yep.
00:47Here's the 48 of Alex Bowman.
00:49They were right at the threshold of being able to pick under Green.
00:52A little more than 15 seconds back from the leader.
00:55Breaks feel a little soft.
00:56Team isn't concerned.
00:57Thinks they'll be good once it heats up.
00:58They did an air pressure adjustment on that side.
01:01So Kim was talking about that 15 seconds.
01:03So as we see the leaders through turn three,
01:05the 48 is going to be leaving pit road.
01:07We see right now crew chief of the five.
01:09I saw a hand out the window.
01:11The five might be pitting.
01:12If not this time, I do believe he's going to pit.
01:14Let's just see how far the 48 comes out in front of these leaders.
01:17Now the concern is, even though the 48 has new tires,
01:19these old tires don't slow down a whole lot.
01:21So he's going to have to stay in front of these leaders
01:23for these final four laps.
01:25I would be shocked if Hamlin doesn't take the 10 points for winning the stage.
01:29But I've been shocked before.
01:31The whole top ten are going to have to make a decision.
01:33We'll get a lap under the bed.
01:3545 now on pit road.
01:36So he showed his hand.
01:37He's going to come down, service of his team.
01:39Trevor.
01:40Yeah, Tyler Rennick made up seven spots early on that first restart,
01:44but then faded back a couple of those legacy motor club cars.
01:47He's been fighting a tight balance as well today.
01:49You'll see four tires and fuel go on this 45 to jump the stage.
01:52All right, risk versus reward.
01:53So if you're Chris Gale right now and you're a crew chief of the 11,
01:56you know you want those 10 points.
01:58But everybody that's been on pit road will not pit at the end of the stage.
02:01So every one of these cars are a position you're going to lose.
02:04How much do you dare give up?
02:07And if you're the 5 or the 54 or the 19 that are also running inside the top 5,
02:13how important are points to you at this point?
02:18We're going to see top of your screen, upper right.
02:20We saw the bright yellow two of Cedric come to pit road.
02:23Blaney on pit road.
02:27There's Blaney in that 12, the Ryan Newman car.
02:30Kim.
02:31Yeah, and for Blaney, he said definitely tight here,
02:34mostly in traffic neutral, though, through the tunnel,
02:37which is a good sign for him.
02:4342 of John Hunter Nemechek fighting a little bit free off of turn three
02:47on that right rear.
02:48A little bit too hard.
02:49We know how long that corner is
02:50and how easy it is to break these next-gen cars loose, Kim.
02:56You see the racing right here between Bayard and the 43.
02:58The leader will close pit road this time by,
03:02which means that he'll have the opportunity to pit if he so chooses.
03:06He stayed.
03:08All right, there you go.
03:09Stayed on the racetrack.
03:10So pit road's closed.
03:11So everybody who has pitted, that's it.
03:13That's everyone else.
03:14Now it's just a battle for points.
03:15So this position you see right now between Byron, Jones, Suarez,
03:20every position's a point.
03:22Well, think two.
03:23I mean, I just go right there, seventh, eighth, and ninth in the running order
03:26and where they are when you think about the chase standings.
03:29You know, Jones with that runner-up finish last week,
03:31only 18 below the cut line.
03:33Logano only a few points out.
03:35Byron's been bouncing around 10th, 11th, 12th.
03:38They all need them, and they're all going to get some here.
03:41And Hamlin in position to win the stage and get 10 more
03:45after coming in 51 points behind Tyler Reddick.
03:59One to go in the stage, presented by Credit One Bank.
04:03Hamlin, two seconds in front of Kyle Larson.
04:07Last couple of laps, he's been almost six-tenths faster than Larson,
04:12six-tenths faster than his teammate Ty Gibbs.
04:14Denny running 54 flats.
04:16The rest of the field, 54 sevens and slower.
04:20Chris Buescher back there with a 54.5,
04:22the only car really within a half a second of Denny Hamlin right now.
04:26A half a second.
04:27It's amazing how fast this 11 car is.
04:30Deep into these runs, we see it every single week.
04:33This is the big advantage that this number 11 has,
04:36and they seem to get better with every stage.
04:38Yeah, they know how to stay in front of the adjustments,
04:41and you called it perfectly.
04:42He was so patient.
04:43Let that Casey Mears lap car kind of check up the five.
04:47Capitalized.
04:48The points are piling up for Denny Hamlin.
04:50This is fifth stage win of 2026.
04:53That leads all drivers.
04:55Larson, who came in scoring more stage points than anyone on the season,
04:59finished his second.
05:00And a whole host of drivers behind him that need points.
05:04Ty Gibbs, top five.
05:05Briscoe needs points.
05:06He gets seven here.
05:07We talk about Buescher.
05:09Suarez in sixth.
05:11He's been getting a bunch of stage points in recent weeks.
05:14Talked about Byron, Jones, Logano.
05:16And a great run for Austin Hill in the 33.
05:20Takes advantage of the strategy of others
05:22and finishes inside the top ten in stage one.
05:26Hamlin in charge so far here at Pocono.
05:30Glad you're with us.
05:31It's NASCAR on Prime.

05:51Get smiling today.
05:57And now our relief lap, sponsored by National Debt Relief.
06:01Getting out of debt is easier when you have all of us behind you.
06:06Casey Mears had fallen behind,
06:10but he's back on the lead lap now.
06:14Casey was involved in the lead change
06:17as a lap car going a lap down.
06:19Doesn't have a lot of experience in the next gen.
06:22He's on the bottom of the racetrack in turn three and four.
06:24And he drives up off the racetrack.
06:26He drives up off the corner to the outside line.
06:28Traditionally like you would, right?
06:30But he wouldn't know that that's going to drastically affect
06:33the handling on the five cars.
06:35He goes in front of Larson and Larson becomes a car in his wake.
06:39And Larson wasn't able to finish the throttle on corner exit.
06:42Had to get out of the gas, actually.
06:43And that allowed Denny to make that run and make the pass.
06:46So many small, subtle things go into your success over the course of the day.
06:49And remind everyone, when we come down to pit road here,
06:52the five of Kyle Larson had some inspection issues.
06:54So he got his pit stall assigned, right?
06:57So this right here is the five's pit box, right?
06:59And in front of him is the 51.
07:01So he didn't get to pick this stall because he had those inspection issues.
07:04He puts, he's now pitting behind the 51.
07:06Why this matters is the 51 is nearly the last car in the lead lap.
07:09So he should be coming around the five at about the time the five is leading.
07:13So, crew chief for the five, Cliff Daniels.
07:16You talk about the small little nuance.
07:17This is Cliff looking over to the pit box of the 51.
07:20To be very close.
07:21Me leaving.
07:22Can I go?
07:23Are you going to free clear me?
07:24Yup.
07:24He gets kind of a clear.
07:25So now he knows.
07:26We saw that wreck with the 54 just a week or two ago.
07:28Leaving pit road.
07:29Having contact.
07:30Now Larson knows if it's the 51 coming in.
07:32He's already like pre-cleared the airspace.
07:35He knows the 51's going to check up and allow the five to leave.
07:39Two Chevrolets working together.
07:40And leadership by Cliff Daniels making sure every stone is turned over.
07:44Leaving nothing to risk.
07:46We set it off the top.
07:47Devil's in the details.
07:48Got to do all the little things.
07:50They're heading your way, Kim.
07:52That's right.
07:52Ty Gibbs will pit from P3.
07:54The last couple laps under green.
07:55Crew chief Tyler Allen telling him, we're not going to catch the leader.
07:58So save some fuel for this stop.
08:00They're going to take four.
08:01Go in the jack.
08:02The balance pretty good.
08:02Just got a little free there at the end.
08:04Trevor.
08:05Yeah, Kyle Larson coming into his stall.
08:07Lost that lead from a tight race car.
08:08They're going to make some changes for the tunnel turn.
08:10Ride quality is great on this car.
08:12Kyle Larson asking what color car to look for as the 51 comes around him, Marty.
08:16Stage one for Chase Briscoe.
08:18He said he was too free on the exit of one and the exit of three.
08:21That's where he was really losing his time.
08:23Trademark 11 team in that stage one with that long run pace.
08:27Denny Hamlin said, I started a little bit too free,
08:29but I did certainly like our car at the very end of that run.
08:32One driver completely missing inside the top five.
08:35A car I thought did a nice job of saving gas.
08:37It was putting him in the right position was the 54 of Ty Gibbs.
08:40Watch the right side.
08:41Pretty clean.
08:42Bobble on the right rear.
08:43Jack drop.
08:44No dice.
08:44The car must be in the air for the wheel to be tightened.
08:48They come back.
08:49They tighten up the right rear.
08:50At this point, damage is done.
08:51So they actually go back and make an adjustment
08:53knowing they're going to be in traffic.
08:55But long stop for Ty Gibbs.
09:24That's how you become the legend of the woods.
09:26with battery life for days from the processor your PC wishes it had.
09:32Crown Nuggets are back at Burger King,
09:34and you're never too old to get your crown on.
09:40Let kids rule with the $3.99 kids meal,
09:43or get the eight piece for you.
09:45Let kids rule with the $3.99 kids meal.
09:47Cause I'm back in the saddle like some old cowboy
09:52Climbed up until the cold of the rain.
09:55Stay down, stay down.
09:56All right, for the rest.
09:57Don't worry where I've been.
10:00I'm back in the saddle again.
10:03Yeah, my thing I'm good.
10:05That's what I was talking about.
10:06Good card for a hundred, baby.
10:08Don't worry where I've been.
10:10And I'm back in the saddle again.
10:14You ready?
10:14Let me do it.
10:16We're here for those who build America.
10:22Those who believe that giving everything we've got today
10:26will pay off tomorrow.
10:28Who will drive America forward for 250 years to come.
10:33If that's who you are, you value what we value.
10:37And you should pay what we pay.
10:47We'll be right back.
11:18The WNBA is on Prime.
11:22Thursday night.
11:24It's a can't-miss matchup.
11:25The deep shot is pure.
11:27Angel Reese in the Atlanta Dream.
11:29In attack mode to the rack.
11:31Take on Kaitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.
11:33Long range.
11:37Get ready for non-stop action.
11:39Oh, it's pretty.
11:41Welcome to the party.
11:43Dream Fever.
11:44Thursday starting at 7 p.m. Eastern.
11:47It's on Prime.
11:51Let's get into our stage break.
11:52Brought to you by Snapdragon.
11:54Danielle Trotta alongside driver Corey LaJoy,
11:57driver of the 11.
11:58Denny Hamlin winning the first stage.
12:00And, man, was he gapping the field there
12:02in the final laps of stage one.
12:04And by 7 tenths of a second, three of the four Gibbs cars finishing stage one inside the top five.
12:10So we're seeing those Gibbs Toyotas have blistering speed once again this week, Corey.
12:14But with Denny specifically, what is he doing so well?
12:17Well, we noticed that the tire fall off of the right side tires is going to be a little bit
12:21more than what we had seen in the previous years.
12:23And the 11 car only fell off five or six tenths where, meanwhile, the field, be it the five guys
12:29outside the top five,
12:30were falling off over a second.
12:31So Denny's able to re—his car is so comfortable.
12:34He has so much confidence here at Pocono.
12:36He's able to reshape his corners.
12:38But not just back the corner up when it goes slower.
12:40He's still driving it in the corner hard, pushing those Goodyear Eagles into the racetrack
12:45to make the grip that this car wants to make.
12:47So it's not anybody's game.
12:49It's the 11's race to lose right now.
12:51And he's restarting right outside the guys that flipped this stage.
12:54So we're going to see how fast he can get back to the front.
12:56There were six drivers who did flip the stage.
12:58John Hunter Nemechek, Tyler Reddick, Zane Smith, Ryan Blaney, Austin Sendrick, Alex Bowman.
13:03What do you make of this strategy?
13:04You like it?
13:05I love the move.
13:06One, because you are still in a position close enough in relevance to the leader,
13:10be the 11, to be able to do this.
13:12So you're going to see guys like Reddick, guys like Ryan Blaney and Zane Smith,
13:15to then retain that track position, to get themselves some stage points here in stage two.
13:20I love the move of flipping the stage here.
13:22Reddick wants to get some of those stage points here to keep that battle tight in points with Denny Hamlin.
13:27Our guy, Brad Keselowski, guest analyst this week, coming back for the post-race show.
13:31He started tail-end Charlie.
13:33He's making up a lot of ground in that number six forward.
13:35Finished stage one 24th, now running 29th.
13:38Let's send it back upstairs to the booth for the start of stage two with Adam Alexander.
13:42All right.
13:42Thank you, Danielle.
13:43And you guys talked about those drivers flipping the stage.
13:45So the race off Pit Road, sponsored by Goodyear, was actually for seventh in the running order.
13:51Denny Hamlin going to choose the outside lane here.
13:53And on the front row, it's going to be John Hunter Nevacek, Tyler Reddick.
13:58Opportunity for the 45, maybe, to take some charge of this field.
14:03Well, remember, we talked to the spotter from the 23 earlier today.
14:08He talked about how difficult it was to spot down into Turn 1.
14:11Well, now those cars like the 5 and the 11, they are going to be right in the mess.
14:17Dangerous part of running it long.
14:21Ready, green, green, green, green, green.
14:23Stage two, green at Pocono.
14:29He starts getting more and more aggressive.
14:31See Riley Herbst jumping out there, making it three wide.
14:32He's got Christopher Ville pushing him.
14:34Chase is going to block that.
14:36Suarez getting aggressive.
14:38Three wide inside, but William Byron there, Chase Briscoe, a part of that mix.
14:43Yep, Eric Jones on the outside.
14:44He's going to let Byron clear.
14:4619, just to the outside of the 5 of Larson.
14:50That was a big move.
14:51That's going to cost Larson a lot of momentum down this short shoot.
14:53He's losing multiple spots.
14:58Still bad left in front.
15:00Outside of Nevacek.
15:02Right behind them, Zane Smith, another one of those drivers that flipped the stage.
15:08Everybody checks like, man, if I could just get the lead.
15:11I just want that clean air.
15:12But Reddick's on the outside fighting.
15:14Going to stay right there on the corner panel.
15:16He's going to have him down the front straightaway.
15:18John Hunter's going to try to slow him down a little bit right here.
15:23They're going to run and chase each other across the racetrack, trying to get into the side draft.
15:27Trying to keep that side draft going.
15:31Reddick buries it down into turn one.
15:34Backs up to center of the corner.
15:36Allows the 42 of John Hunter to get back to his door.
15:42John Hunter better side draft a little bit here.
15:44Here comes Zane Smith.
15:45Who's he going to help?
15:48He can lift early here.
15:50Try to get a run on these guys coming off of this short shoot.
15:53The 38 could have an opportunity to go three wide here.
15:57Not quite enough momentum.
15:59Oh, just about.
16:01He thought about it.
16:01Just a little bit too late down into turn three.
16:04Around the outside.
16:05Here comes the 12 of Blaney to the right rear quarter panel on the 38.
16:09The battle for the lead still rages.
16:12Side by side for third.
16:14Top four.
16:15Those guys that flipped the stage right behind him.
16:17Denny Hamlin, who made that pit stop after winning stage number one.
16:22He's right there.
16:23Look at Blaney, a little crossover looking inside of those two Toyotas out front.
16:27Now Zane back to the outside.
16:29Sort of the same thing that Zane did, Blaney does.
16:32Blaney's going to drive up the racetrack and just take the line away.
16:35Denny to the inside of Zane Smith down the back straightaway.
16:38Still side by side up front.
16:42These two will not let each other go for the lead.
16:49Well, now there's a second groove developing in the tunnel.
16:52It's allowing that outside line to still be stubborn out here.
16:58At some point, you might just have to take the slide job, drive up the track.
17:01The 42 of John Hunter tries to do that, but Reddick's there.
17:0542 has to jump out of the gas.
17:06Reddick with the spot.
17:08Finally, all clear out front.
17:09Tyler Reddick takes control of the race, and here comes Blaney in that blue number 12.
17:14Yeah, John Hunter got greedy in turn three and tried to drive across the track and hope the 45 would
17:19lift.
17:20He didn't.
17:2145 of Reddick stayed in the throttle.
17:24Oh, Blaney almost in the left for a quarter panel.
17:27John Hunter Nemechek got tied off a turn two.
17:29Big run for the 11 of Denny Hamlin down the back straightaway toward the tunnel turn.
17:33Denny's going to go to the inside here.
17:36Amazing what that loss of momentum will do for you.
17:40Two drivers have combined for nine wins here, Hamlin and Blaney.
17:50Blaney's already here.
17:51Hamlin's already cut through about half of these guys and flipped the stage.
17:56He's looking for some help from Zane Smith, though.
17:58Zane decided to push Blaney into the tunnel.
18:00I'm sure he's going to do the same down the front stretch, push that fellow forward,
18:03and it will make a difference.
18:04The outside should have the momentum.
18:06Down into turn one.
18:08Oh, no.
18:08Zane's going to cross him over and try to get two for one.
18:11I love the two for one here.
18:12You get in the wake.
18:13You use the momentum.
18:14Zane Smith pulls out of line, trying to make it happen.
18:17Around Blaney now side by side with Hamlin this for third.
18:21Oh, there he goes.
18:22Zane Smith loses it off the corner.
18:24Lock it down, lock it down, lock it down.
18:26Inside wall.
18:26Lock it down.
18:27Let me know if you make nose contact here.
18:28I can't see you.
18:29Man, he was, he was just pushing so hard there, trying to make something happen.
18:37Got a little bit loose.
18:38Car got out from under him.
18:40That's tough to see because Zane's done such a good job over the last several weeks.
18:46Really, this team's kind of been overachieving a little bit, trying to get the, where they
18:52could run in the top ten on a regular basis, and here you see it up the track, just got
18:57a little bit loose, tried to, he did a great job actually keeping the car out of the door
19:03of the 11.
19:04There was a loose moment, he corrected up the track, and that could have taken Denny with
19:09him, but he did a great job, kind of sacrificed himself a little bit to not,
19:15wrecked the 11.
19:17Yeah, that could have looked a little bit like the 9 of the 20 last week.
19:19Right, there was that big wiggle from the 38.
19:21Watch this, watch how close this is.
19:26You're absolutely right, Dale.
19:28I think the 38 had a chance of not, you're absolutely right, Dale.
19:35I think the 38 had a chance of not scoring some stage points, and here today, right in
19:42the front part of the pack, doing everything he needed to do, and it got away from him.
19:46And we've had some reports from down in the pits, drivers talking about the seams and
19:51some of the sealer that they put inside the seams.
19:53I'd be curious if we get a chance to talk to Zane at the Infield Care Center, if any of
19:58that was an issue of losing grip in the car.
20:01As you drive out of turn two, you cross over a lot, cross over a lot of these areas of
20:08the
20:08racetrack where they filled these cracks in.
20:10See some of those?
20:11See that running parallel with the wall?
20:12Well, there's also seams going left and right as well through turns two, so they're all over
20:18the racetrack.
20:18There's a great look at it right here.
20:20This is turn one, and so as he's going across these, you can see how that stuff's peeling
20:24up.
20:25Well, the race car can chatter the tires and slide the tires running across some of those
20:29things, and that might have been a part of the reason why he lost a little bit of grip
20:34there, lost the rear grip of the race car, and spun out.
20:37And that's always been kind of a signature of that corner, spinning late exit.
20:41You know, the seams are some, the banking, the content, maybe you just get a little bit
20:45of wheel in it in the middle.
20:46We've seen, you know, when he was spinning, there was eight or ten other tire tracks,
20:50you know, ending up in the same location.
20:54Popular place always seems to deliver some highlights.
20:57Saw some drivers coming down Pitt Road.
20:59We'll update the situation there.
21:01Caution out for a second time here at Pocono.
21:12Christopher David Bell.
21:14He's four years old.
21:15Oh, what have you started?
21:19Go Christopher, go!
21:22Woo!
21:24Oh, Christopher Bell has taken the lead.
21:26What a finish!
21:28He's done it again!
21:30Bell has driven the victory again.
21:33How about that?
21:34That check is for one million dollars.
21:37When every mile matters, where will your journey take you?
21:41In the movie of your life, you're the director.
21:43You write the script, thank you, and call the shots.
21:47You keep the story moving along.
21:49Hey.
21:51Boom's in.
21:52Until one day, your doctor says,
21:54you have chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
21:57That wasn't part of the story.
21:58For CLL, my doctor recommended Calquence.
22:01Calquence is the first and only BTKI to offer two approved, all-oral, chemo-free options.
22:06Ongoing treatment with Calquence or fixed-duration treatment when combined with venetoclax.
22:10Calquence can cause serious side effects which may lead to death.
22:12This includes serious infections, bleeding problems that may increase with blood thinners,
22:16decreased blood counts, new cancers including skin cancers, heart rhythm problems, and liver problems.
22:20Tell your doctor right away if you have flu-like symptoms, blood in stool or urine,
22:23fast or irregular heartbeat, dizziness, feeling faint, chest discomfort, shortness of breath,
22:27stomach pain, dark urine, or yellowing skin.
22:29Calquence may harm an unborn baby.
22:31Ask your doctor about pregnancy and breastfeeding.
22:33These are not all the side effects.
22:34Use sun protection.
22:36And action.
22:37Ask your doctor about Calquence.
22:38If you can't afford your medication, AstraZeneca may be able to help.
22:41Ever since we hired Dale Jr. at IHOP,
22:46breakfast has been moving fast.
22:48Look, it's pancakes!
22:52Dine-in delivery catering.
22:54Will you sign my pancakes?
23:07Out here, a reputation is built the same way anything is.
23:11One bolt, one cut, one nail at a time.
23:18So get to it with Metabo HPT.
23:27You may think this show only turns left, but you've missed what all this is.
23:32Three, two, one.
23:35A show wherever our cars run.
23:38The hills are alive by the sound of NASCAR.
23:40In small towns and big cities, short tracks, super speedways, road courses, and a naval base.
23:45Yeah, it's like a flag, baby.
23:47Build a track?
23:48We'll race it.
23:49Make it difficult.
23:50We'll find a way.
23:51Hell yeah, boys!
23:58Master on Prime back live in Pocono.
24:01Our coverage presented by Metabo HPT.
24:04Scan the QR code to check out hot deals on Metabo HPT power tools.
24:10Metabo HPT.
24:11Make.
24:12Move.
24:12Go.
24:13And now we hear from drivers talking about the role of spotters at Pocono.
24:19Give them a ton of credit.
24:21It is not an easy place to spot from here at Pocono.
24:22The exit at turn three and entry at turn one are difficult for them.
24:26It is very tricky.
24:27So you do rely on him, but it's 100% false information into one.
24:31You know you're going to be three or four wide pretty much every restart.
24:35So you've got to rely on that spotter to tell you where the cars are, where to get pushes,
24:39and what holes you can actually hit.
24:41They're a huge part of what we do here at Pocono, and you better have a good one up on
24:45the roof.
24:47I thought Freddy Kraft was great on NASCAR Live talking about what spotters deal with here
24:52and how you manage the field as they go around the various parts of this racetrack.
24:56It can be very tricky.
24:58Yeah, Freddy gave us some honest answers about some of the things we were curious about
25:02and told me something I thought was interesting, how they get more aggressive with their calls
25:07as the race goes on.
25:08They have to tighten it up a little bit when it matters.
25:14Freddy on the spotter stand for Bubba Wallace, one of a handful of drivers, came down,
25:18made a pit stop lap 42.
25:20Those guys restarted from 27th on back.
25:23Control car as we go green here.
25:27Tyler Reddick outside lane.
25:28Tyler Reddick outside lane.
25:42Tyler Reddick outside lane.
25:44Getting up to the top of the racetrack, just really couldn't find any clean air there.
25:47It's going to cost them a little bit of speed.
25:50Going to get a big push from this 24 down the back straightaway.
25:56Reddick jumps in front of Nemechek to grab the top spot.
26:00Slicing and dicing behind him.
26:04Blaney-Elliott side-by-side for position.
26:06Elliott side-by-side for position.
26:22Blaney's going to clear Elliott for that spot.
26:25Right behind him, the five of Larson.
26:27Trying to rebound to get back to the front of the field.
26:33Yeah, Larson hasn't moved as quickly as Hamlin has since the restart
26:37when they gave up that track position, pitting at the end of stage one.
26:41Five car back there in the seventh spot.
26:43Yeah, they struggled on the restart before this.
26:45Lost several spots.
26:46Five of the racetrack off the turn two.
26:47But he's sort of flatlined here.
26:51Chase Elliott just getting a little clear, clean air there underneath the car.
26:57Larson to the inside.
26:58Got a late dive-bomb down into the tunnel.
27:00A little bit of a surprise for his teammate there,
27:02but Chase is going to clear on exit.
27:05Hendrick times.
27:07He's got three cars in the top seven today.
27:10Saw Elliott and Larson racing for sixth.
27:14Car getting way up the racetrack there down in turn three and four.
27:18Oh, man, the 21's in the wall.
27:20SVG.
27:21Look at this.
27:22Coming off of turn three.
27:24Crash caution number three.
27:26Yeah.
27:26That all started back in the middle of turn three.
27:31It looked like SVG got into the inside of Josh Berry,
27:36and they go way up the racetrack.
27:37And they continue to sort of argue for that position off of the corner.
27:42And the 21 runs out of racetrack or runs into the wall.
27:45And it looked like from that point forward, it was just chaos.
27:50Heavy damage to the six of Brad Kozlowski.
27:52What's shocking to me is you said it ten seconds earlier that there was a car up out of the
27:56groove.
27:56And I thought it could create a stack-up, but this was a very late developing accident.
28:02You know, they got kind of stacked up early.
28:04There you go.
28:05So there's the SVG and the 21.
28:08So they're three wide, and the 33 is also, I'm not sure the 33 knows he's three wide or doesn't
28:14have the ability to stay down a lane.
28:16I would love to hear what the 33 is hearing, because right there, you know, he's running it like there's
28:22one car that was outside, not two.
28:28You know, a few of those cars involved there, the ones that had just come down to make a pit
28:33stop, lost all that track position,
28:34trying to play a little game of strategy, and you get caught in the middle of this.
28:38Yeah, that started into three, though.
28:40I'm kind of curious as to if—here we are.
28:44Three quarter, one.
28:45Third three's back here.
28:46Now, watch the 97 and the 21 here.
28:49So the 97 runs the 21 up the racetrack.
28:51Third three's just kind of coming through like he—like he's—but he does run them a little high here.
28:57But that argument, that disagreement started way back in turn three on the entrance there.
29:04Stay down, stay down, stay down, stay down.
29:06Hold the brake, hold the brake, hold the brake, hold the brake, straight it up, straight it up.
29:09All right, right front damage, guys, straight straight.
29:11Right front damage around and outside.
29:15These cars don't get—traditionally don't get loose from running side by side.
29:20Like the 97 gets in the corner and there was just a little contact.
29:23I want to—my mind thinks, okay, from history, it's like SVG got loose underneath the 21.
29:29But I think they just got in there racing hard and some contact was made and they go up the
29:33racetrack
29:33and 33 gets in there and they're three wide, not enough room.
29:36So I was wondering if the 33 knew he was three wide.
29:39Well, he knew it because he was the one who made it three wide.
29:41Just listen to the spotter.
29:43Three quarter. Two by two. Two behind.
29:47Out there door, quarter, bumper, clear, 20.
29:49Out there, quarter, bumper, bumper, back the door, top, bottom of three, bottom three, all clear.
29:55All clear. Wrecking behind us, inside quarter.
29:58So, you know, we talk a lot about, you know, Austin Hill, his number of races in this car
30:04and the communication on the roof and what all he's dealing with.
30:07And I thought it was clear communication of that he was clear of the 20.
30:11And then I heard door and quarter, which tells me the two cars you just drove up next to were
30:16there.
30:17So I feel like Austin—because I questioned if he knew.
30:19I think Austin knew how many were out there, but maybe his car wouldn't allow it.
30:22They just kind of all—they know if you lift right there, you know, it's easy to say.
30:25But if you check up at that spot, you're losing five spots.
30:28I mean, you're the exit of turn three before the longest straightaway.
30:31That was a great view, that Cheddar's onboard camera as Austin Hill got aggressive coming off the turn.
30:39And I think about, too, the points implications here because Shane Van Gisbergen,
30:44who won that race at Watkins Glen, had worked his way into the top 16, was in a pretty good
30:48spot.
30:49He's involved here.
30:50Joey Logano, who's had some productive weeks recently, was only three points below the chase cut line.
30:55He got some damage there.
30:57And now Pit Road is open.
30:59Let's go to Trevor.
31:0045 of Tyler Reddick leading the race, comes down Pit Road.
31:03The call from Billy Scott is going to be to put two tires and fuel in this car.
31:07Tyler also saying it's a little bit loose, and the bumps make it very edgy.
31:13Trevor, 47 to go here in Stage 2.
31:16This is right on the edge.
31:17He'll make it all the way.
31:18Chris Gale makes the call for Denny Hamlin to come down Pit Road.
31:21Right side tires only.
31:23Tight fuel-wise, Adam, to make it to the end of the stage.
31:26And now we do a little Goodyear race off the pit lane.
31:3013 drivers stay out.
31:32Reddick, the best of those that came down the pit lane.
31:35When you talk about the exit, third caution of the afternoon.

38:07Let's go down to Kim.
38:09Yeah, Brad Keselowski out of the care center after being part of that multi-car incident.
38:12Brad, walk us through what happened, what you know.
38:14Yeah, somebody hit the wall in front of me, and it just stacked everybody up.
38:18I got through the first wave of the crash, and then somebody got into someone else and spun down in
38:22front of me.
38:24Tore the front end off. I didn't really have a chance to even do anything.
38:27So it's unfortunate. I actually feel like we were dialing the car in, and pretty decent,
38:31just kind of waiting for the race to develop, and didn't get a chance to let it develop.
38:36So I guess you can kind of see it here.
38:37They started spinning the wreck in front of me, and I thought I had it cleared, and then they're good
38:42in that car.
38:42So part of it, I guess.
38:44Thanks, Brad.
38:46Brad came in 15th in the chase standings, now being shown 16th and on the bubble.
38:52A host of drivers right around that cut line involved in this one.
38:57I feel like that was stubborn on stubborn in the middle in the third lane.
39:02They kind of got together, and neither one was going to lift,
39:04or they thought the other one would kind of give a little bit of room, and they just ran out
39:09of real estate.
39:10Hey, we talk about the culture over at Legacy Motor Club.
39:13Trevor mentioned that prior to the green flag today, and you look at Eric Jones,
39:17now up to 15th on our chase leaderboard, third prior to the choose here.
39:22And he goes outside lane because he wants to give an assist to his teammate,
39:26John Hunter Nemechek, who will be in control of the field.
39:29They are performing quite well here today.
39:32We saw this good, solid choice to take the outside line when you have a teammate that can commit to
39:37you.
39:39Yesterday, the O'Reilly race worked out really well, but it's not guaranteed you're going to have control of the
39:46race.
39:46That inside line can have a great start as well.
39:49We'll see.
39:5643 to go, stage two.
39:58All the cars single foul on the back there.
40:02Under penalty for when they last came to pit road.
40:04Let's see how the front figures this out.
40:06Well, Suarez is always giving a little bit of a peek.
40:10Nemechek jumps to the lead.
40:12Well, Reddick way up high.
40:14Four wide and getting past.
40:15He gets back in line.
40:17But damage done.
40:18Four or five spots given up.
40:19The 19 of Briscoe now side by side with Jones for second.
40:24Big move out of Chastain.
40:26Ross Chastain, very identifiable.
40:28And that number one green Chevrolet getting aggressive.
40:32The contact as they come across the tunnel.
40:35You and I saw the same wreck happening.
40:37Byron was squeezed in a sandwich right there.
40:41Three wide again.
40:43Just no messing around.
40:45Oh, a little contact there with Ty Gibbs and the two of Cedric.
40:49Gibbs trying to come back after they had that long pit stop.
40:53Ryan Blaney right there with that group.
40:55The whole field continues to get shuffled based on the strategy that you were playing.
41:01So there's a lot of give and take.
41:03But it's all take on these restarts.
41:07Chase going around the outside of Cole.
41:09Custer.
41:10Diddy wanted to do that as well.
41:11A little bit of a bobble for that 11 car.
41:12He's going to get a push from his, I'd say his teammate.
41:16Car he owns, Tyler Reddick.
41:18Employee.
41:18Yep.
41:20It's going to send him to the inside of Cole Custer.
41:23Chase around Priest.
41:24Priest drives across the nose of the 11.
41:26That'll stall him out just momentarily with this 41 car.
41:32Reddick gave him one shot.
41:33He's not going to give him a second.
41:34Now he's going to follow that 41 in.
41:42Teammates right here.
41:43HMS to 5 and 24.
41:44Larson Byron side by side.
41:47Byron's going to take it.
41:48Larson just struggling trying to move forward here.
41:52You know, Larson and Byron both a part of that group that came down at lap 48.
41:57Best driver on that cycle, though, is their teammate Chase Elliott, who's up there in the eighth position.
42:03Steve, you always say it.
42:04You don't have to be leading the race, but you want to make sure you are leading your group on
42:08your particular strategy.
42:10Yeah, if you're a fan of one of these drivers that's no longer at the front, you're wondering if their
42:14decision to pit's going to work out.
42:16Don't feel alone.
42:16I'm wondering as well.
42:18It's really going to be how this race runs, how this next 41 laps of this stage run.
42:22Do we get a caution?
42:23Do we not?
42:23Right now, I expect everyone in the field near the front to come to pit road under green before the
42:28end of the stage.
42:29Where will they be and how long will their stops be able to determine the success of this strategy?
42:38Right now, though, I've got to hand it to the 42 of Nemechek, sticking to their plan, and they're controlling
42:43this race.
42:45Awesome.
42:46Cendrick thinking about three wide.
42:48Ty Gibbs was ready for that.
42:51Cendrick's one here in an O'Reilly car.
42:56Dancing behind Austin Dillon in the three.
42:5954, Ty Gibbs.
43:02Back three apart ahead, just by seven.
43:05The battle from 16th on back.
43:08We haven't talked much about Christopher Bell.
43:09We talked a lot in the pre-race.
43:10Remember that cast on the left hand, or left wrist, after that huge hit a week ago?
43:16Seems like I haven't read anything on the radio.
43:18No real report, so I'm going to say that currently running 21st, but staying behind the wheel.
43:24A broken wrist.
43:27Unbelievable.
43:30Let's go back to last week in Michigan.
43:33Restart, 20 in position to have a great day.
43:36And collected when the nine had it get away from him.
43:40Chase Elliott slides up into the 20.
43:42Such a hard hit, Dale.
43:43Yeah, the hardest one in the next-gen era.
43:46Definitely top five.
43:47The history of the sport right there.
43:50Oh, and amazing.
43:50This young man was able to get out of the car, much less be here this weekend racing with us.
43:55And they worked really hard to get him as comfortable as possible with the cast on his arm.
44:00Had to get a new glove made from the left hand.
44:04And then they will cut this cast off on Monday to put another one on it to allow him to
44:09road course race because he needs to be able to turn right for the road courses.
44:13And he's not really able to do that with the current cast that he has on his hand right now.
44:17He told me they may replace this cast every week and re-X-ray his hand just to see how
44:23the progress is going, Marty.
44:25Yeah, Junior Steve was reading it.
44:27I've been listening to Christopher Bell.
44:29Not one word about his wrist, which is kind of what Adam Stevens predicted before the race, Steve.
44:34He said that Bell did not have one complaint about how it was in practice, how he felt after practice
44:40either.
44:41So, so far, so good for the driver of the 20.
44:43Larson was able to get around his teammate, Fyber, but now he's lost that position back.
44:48And here is the 12 of Larson trying to take a spot away.
44:53And Gibbs has got an opportunity here.
44:54He's going to push the five through, wants the outside line through the tunnel.
44:59Well, if you think back to the first stage with the five, had control of the race.
45:02He's got too tight leading, which is a real concern because back here, that characteristic is only going to get
45:08worse with all the dirty air.
45:18Blaney, first career win here in 2017, went to victory lane a couple of years ago.
45:24Got that Ryan Newman throwback from when the Rocket Man won the Daytona 500 back in 2008.
45:30Slides into position.
45:32Austin Dillon crossing it over.
45:34Out front, it's John Hunter Niemicek in the lead.
45:41Bet you can't run as fast as T-Mobile.
45:44Bet you I can.
45:45Well, you better pick it up because T-Mobile now has the fastest 5G home internet.
45:48Watch this.
45:50I'm okay.
45:51T-Mobile now has the fastest 5G home internet.
45:54That's 35 bucks a month.
45:56We're here for those who build America.

46:13If that's who you are, you value what we value.
46:17And you should pay what we pay.
46:26Military, veterans, first responders, different uniforms, different front lines, same sacrifice.
46:34At Camping World, we're standing behind the people who stand up for us.
46:38Year-round support for the USO.

46:44And every single month, we're giving one hero a brand new RV on us.
46:50Our flags are big.
46:52Our commitment is bigger.
46:54Camping World, America's RV company.
46:57Racing is an expensive sport.
46:59And, you know, I remember my dad working 24-7 because he's taking care of my racing.
47:06So the Spectrum sponsorship was huge for sure.
47:10I think my dad's the most excited about all this because he set up the original Spectrum sponsorship.
47:15And I think that's the coolest part for me is seeing how excited he is.
47:19So if I were to win in the Spectrum car, I think it would be unbelievable.
47:26Ever since we hired Dale Jr. at IHOP,
47:31breakfast has been moving fast.
47:33Look, it's pancakes!
47:37Dine-In Delivery Catering.
47:39Will you sell my pancakes?
47:41Mr. Riley's a very nice man, but he was about to leave.
47:44Who told you that?
47:45That you were leaving?
47:46That I'm nice.
47:50The man with the mask and the goggles.
47:52The spider is here to save us from the madness.
47:57I'm a bit like you.
47:58And listen, I watch.
48:00Where the best man lives.

48:28where you can see all key race moments in two minutes or less.
48:35John Hunter Nemechek celebrated his 29th birthday this week,
48:39and he's leading here at Pocono, Trevor Bain.
48:42Yes, sir, Adam.
48:43John Hunter Nemechek also came into this race only having led 21 laps over the last two seasons.
48:49Today, he's going to cross to lead lap number 18.
48:52What a confidence booster it is for this young man.
48:55I talked to Crew Chief Travis Mack earlier, because if you watch these Legacy Motor Club cars,
48:59they always run right together, whether it's 25th or right now if it's 1st and 3rd.
49:04Travis contributes a lot of that to the work being done with the shop,
49:06but also his relationship with Justin Alexander, the Crew Chief on the 43 of Eric Jones.
49:11They've worked together in some capacity back to their Hendrick days 20 years ago.
49:15I know you guys know the importance of those Crew Chiefs getting along, Marty.
49:19Trevor checked in with Chris Gale, the Crew Chief for Denny Hamlin,
49:22who's trying to track down Chase Elliott to be the leader of those on that lap 48 pitting strategy.
49:28Steve, I asked Chris Gale, I said, pitting at that point, can you make it to the end of the
49:32stage?
49:33He said, if it goes green, likely not, but I can flip it, and also I can pit with everybody
49:39else,
49:39and then my stop would be much quicker than everybody else.
49:43But Steve, I'm not sure any of these drivers and teams are planning on trying to make it all the
49:47way to the end of stage 2.
49:48Why would that be?
49:49Well, I believe if you stay out and score points at the end of stage 2,
49:54I just think you're going to be bypassed by so many cars that pit under green
49:57that your chance of winning the race is basically gone.
50:00Now, there are cars.
50:01I look at Ricky Stenhouse back at 25th, Gilliland at 27th.
50:05They topped off, and for them, if they can stay out and score stage points,
50:08you know, I don't think that's a bad day.
50:10They're making something of a day that currently isn't the best,
50:13but I think everybody is looking at a green flag pit stop.
50:16The question is when, do you fill it up, how long do you sit there?
50:20It's going to be interesting to see what they all do.
50:22That's assuming it runs green, right?
50:23We've just got 32 laps to go.
50:25The yellow would throw a kind of an issue to everybody's plan.
50:32Larson around the 54, Gibbs.
50:33It's pretty interesting to see that.
50:35Gibbs is one of the better cars in the first part of this race.
50:38Giving up a spot right there to the five-car Larson.
50:42Larson's not really moving forward as well as, say, Byron, for example.
50:46Byron's able to go up there and pass Custer and Priest,
50:48moving himself into the 11th position.
50:52Right behind McDowell to take a spot to get inside of the top 10.
50:57Hamlin's moved forward around Reddick in the eighth.
51:00So all these cars trying to figure out, you know, Chase just takes the spot away.
51:04You reference Suarez.
51:06It's really interesting to look at the team makeup in the top 10 right now.
51:11And you put an asterisk on everything because, as we've talked,
51:13there's a lot of different strategies out there,
51:15and things will continue to settle out as the day goes along.
51:18But Team Spire has got all three of their Chevys inside the top 10.
51:23Impressive at this stage of the game.
51:24Yeah, Suarez is really the car that's struggling right here.
51:28Look at this nine-car fly around the top of the racetrack.
51:32He's going to carry that momentum around the seven.
51:35They were side-by-side for probably the last three or four laps
51:37trying to battle for this position.
51:39And finally Suarez, I think, gives it up to Chase Elliott.
51:42And there's Denny Hamlin closing in on all three of these cars.
51:46Side-by-side for Byron, he's taking another spot as well.
51:48I like this 24 car.
51:49How he's been able to get through traffic here, Steve.
51:52Shows me that this 24 has got some good handle.
51:55Haven't seen that out of some other cars that I thought would be good today.
51:57Larson, they've got a little work to do.
51:59But the 24, the 9, maybe those guys can get up there and compete
52:04once all this cycle, you know,
52:06these teams sort of cycle around through their strategies.
52:11I agree.
52:11The 9 and the 24.
52:13The Hendrick Camp has closed the gap to the Toyotas,
52:15in my opinion, at this point at this racetrack, right?
52:18The 9 and the 24 are kind of in the last.
52:21So if you look on the left side, look at last pit, right?
52:24Look at who is at the front of each number.
52:27So Elliott was last on 17.
52:29So he's the leader.
52:29Left side, look at last pit, right?
52:32Look at who is at the front of each number.
52:34So Elliott was last on 17.
52:36So he's the leader.
52:37Put like 25, 25, 25, 25, 25.
52:39Spread it out, right?
52:40Scan the QR code to shop Logitech G's newest products and hottest deals.
52:45Logitech G, the official wheel and pedal of eNASCAR.
52:55This is the point of the race where it's really easy.
52:58As a crew chief, you can kind of get a little lost or lose focus on what you need to
53:02do
53:02while you're trying to guess what others are going to do.
53:04As a driver, I just have to be really clear, Dale, right?
53:07Am I looking for full pace on what you need to do while you're trying to guess what others
53:11are going to do?
53:11As a driver, I just have to be really clear, Dale, right?
53:15Am I looking for full pace?
53:16Car is handled.
53:17There's the nine going by Chastain.
53:18Continue to march through the field.
53:20Yeah, he finally was able to get to the inside of the one down into turn one and take the
53:23pass away.
53:24Lose a couple of spots in the last few laps, battling the handling in the seven car.
53:28Also battling a cool suit that is not working.
53:31Listen to the radio.
53:50So Dale Jr., your weather update very timely.
53:52Yes, it is getting cooler here at Pocono, but even on a cool day.
