00:00Great. The NBA has done us all a disservice.
00:02Let's just say it the way it is.
00:04Whether you're a new fan, whether you're a guy like me who's been a fan for 50 years,
00:09the NBA needs to be better.
00:11The NBA needs to do better.
00:13The NBA has long had a problem on its hands where people think,
00:17like all sports have dealt with, that officials get an edict from the league
00:21to make sure a series stays close, to make sure we don't have a blowout,
00:25to make sure this team wins over that team.
00:27I'm not suggesting that the NBA did it in this regard,
00:31but it's going to be very hard for them to deny it
00:33because the NBA failed all of us yesterday,
00:38number one, by waiting the entire day
00:40and then not making the announcement on the flagrant retroactive foul that Wemby deserved
00:44and then kind of hiding it in the middle of the night last night
00:47through Shams as their mouthpiece announcing that they have decided,
00:54after looking over the tape, that Wemby's actions against Jalen Brunson
00:58did not warrant a retroactive flagrant one call.
01:02Well, if that's not a flagrant one foul, then I don't know what is.
01:06And the problem with it now is not just that they allowed that to happen
01:11to a star player on the Knicks and one of the most marketable stars in the league now
01:17and Jalen Brunson incurred favor to a guy that they clearly think
01:20is a bigger, more important star for the NBA.
01:23They've opened up the possibility of having a problem on their hands tonight.
01:27Now, I don't think the Knicks are going to do that,
01:30but I can tell you this right now.
01:32If I'm the New York Knicks, I come out tonight's game for warm-ups and fatigues.
01:37I do the old University of Miami against Notre Dame fatigue dress up.
01:41I come out dressed like soldiers, and I come out for a warden.
