00:00we beat the Spurs without him, too.
00:03As important as Mitchell Robinson is to the mix
00:06and to that second unit when he comes in,
00:09and as great as the pick-and-roll alley-oop is,
00:13and I would argue the pick-and-roll alley-oop to Mitchell Robinson
00:16is probably the best of its kind in the NBA.
00:20You get it two or three times or attempts a game,
00:22and it's probably 90% success rate.
00:24They have perfected the pick-and-roll to the basket,
00:28which results in the alley-oop dunk from Mitchell Robinson, right?
00:32Mitchell Robinson, at best, is an 18-minute-a-game guy
00:36the way they've used him currently this postseason.
00:39Now, I recognize he's not been asked to be on the court a lot
00:42in the fourth quarter of about 20% of the Knicks' playoff games as far
00:48because we had blowouts, and he missed an entire game when he was sick, okay?
00:53The Knicks are a better team, for sure, when Mitchell Robinson comes off the bench
00:57and adds that defensive dimension that very few teams have.
01:01He's also the best offensive rebounder in the sport.
01:04We can beat the Spurs without him.
01:07I mean...
01:08So for a lot of you, that is like panic set in right now, like,
01:10oh my God, the only reason the Knicks are hiding him from the press conference
01:14is because they don't want to announce today that he's not playing in game one.
01:19And by the way, that's a logical statement to make.
01:22Don't tell him.
01:23Okay, but I don't need to know.
01:25I don't want to know.
01:25And the Spurs don't need to know.
01:27Bingo.
01:27Tomorrow night at 8.30, if Mitchell Robinson's in a jersey and shorts,
01:32I expect him to play.
01:33Yep.
01:34And by the way, Mike's expectation is for him to play anyway.
01:37I expect him to play.
01:37But I want to be very clear.
01:39Mitchell Robinson not playing in game one or game two or any game
01:43is not a death knell to the New York Knicks.
01:47No.
01:47And we've got to stop treating it like it is.
