00:00This is the Acer Predator Atlas 8, an 8-inch gaming handheld that comes with Intel Arc G3 or Intel
00:05Arc G3 Extreme inside.
00:08Now what that means is with the latest generation GPUs coming out of Intel that are going into these,
00:13you can actually use things like XDSS 3 and extract a whole lot of performance out of the games that
00:18you play.
00:19It already starts at a really solid base rate, Forza Horizon 6, 1200p, high settings without ray tracing.
00:26You're looking at about 66 frames per second and it is gorgeous to look at on this 8-inch 120Hz
00:33display.
00:33But then when you start to add the additional stuff on top of it, you can then start to see
00:38the likes of 80, 90 frames per second.
00:41We even managed to crank this all the way up to ultra with ray tracing turned on.
00:46And first of all, not only did the metallic fan inside actually keep up with the insane amounts of heat
00:52and pressure we were putting the chip under,
00:53it also managed to play it really smoothly around about 40 to 45 frames per second.
00:59And then there's the power management side of it, which it does have an endurance mode of about 17W TVP,
01:05which means that 80Wh battery, I'm guessing will probably go for about two and a half hours to three hours,
01:12which will be pretty sick for a handheld like this.
01:15Obviously, the main difference is going to come down to price, which when I asked Acer, they said stop asking
01:20me about it.
01:20So, who knows what the cost will be, but it's going to be a pricey thing.
01:26But I want to know what you think. Would you pick up the Predator Atlas 8?
01:29Go ahead and let me know in the comments.
