00:00I was sent an early review copy of Splatoon Raiders and it is not the game I thought it was
00:04going to be.
00:05When it was announced last year, I was really excited to check out a Splatoon spinoff that focused more on
00:09the single player aspects with gameplay focused on the Salmon Run game mode.
00:13But rather than just taking the Salmon Run game mode and repeating it with better graphics, they put a lot
00:18of depth into this game.
00:19There are perks, weapons, and abilities that genuinely change the way you approach each level.
00:24And part of how you're going to succeed in this game is adapting to each enemy.
00:27You need to think about what's more important for this mission, what gear to bring, and what's going to give
00:32you that winning edge.
00:33It presented a challenge to the Splatoon franchise that I was really craving because some of their single player stuff
00:38in the past has been phenomenal.
00:39There's local and online co-op options as well, whether that's with friends or random people.
00:44I really loved my time with Splatoon Raiders.
00:45The one thing I would say I wish it had was the difficulty meter.
00:48You can increase the difficulty, but there's not actually any more rewards that you're going to gain.
00:52And I want to hear from you Splatoon fans in the comments if you're going to be picking this up
00:55or any questions you may have that I can answer.
