The biggest gains from Intel's new Panther Lake chips are in battery life and integrated graphics. This technology could mean that powerful gaming performance will soon be available in thin, light, and efficient laptops.

00:00Intel just unveiled Panther Lake, its new generation of system-on-chip processors with some pretty impressive specs as always.
00:07But the real gain this year looks like it's going to be on battery life when it comes to the
00:10actual laptops that come out with these chips.
00:13The efficiency is where the big gains have been made and that's actually pretty huge for consumers and normal people.
00:18Also, the big subplot I'd say is gaming.
00:20There's some really big performance gains this year in terms of integrated graphics,
00:24which is not something that you normally hear about because frankly it's normally bad.
00:28At the big demo they had Battlefield 6, a recent very nice-looking release running at 60 frames per second
00:34just on integrated graphics,
00:36which you just wouldn't even have thought was possible a couple of years ago.
00:38That might put gaming laptops on notice, honestly. It's a pretty big deal.
