00:00adventure down to minicamp yesterday there's not a lot to glean from this part of the summer but
00:06it's still fun to see all the guys out there and one thing that really jumped out to me for

00:10second year in a row of being down there with this offense is how crowded the wide receiver room is
00:17this is the second year when they've just had a jam-packed wide receiver room with bodies and guys
00:23competing and I was a little surprised that Keyshawn Booty was everywhere because before going
00:30out to practice Mike Rabel said something along the lines of like it wouldn't be totally fair to
00:36ask him to go in and do 20 reps and then he was one of the most active receivers all
00:42day long
00:42including in the 11 v 11 very competitive drills as competitive as you get this time of year
00:47it kind of makes me think when I look at a very early estimation of what this roster may look
00:54like
00:54the only safe guys in the receiver room are AJ Brown okay Romeo Dobbs yep and Matt Collins all right
01:02and I don't know how any of the other chips may fall what a pop shot
01:08yeah because I don't think that they should definitely move on from Keyshawn Booty all right
01:14I understand that you have a deep threat now a completely different tier in AJ Brown and it was
01:21exciting to see him yesterday but I do think that Keyshawn is somebody who has come along with these
01:28New England teams in the past and has grown a lot and beyond him you have this group of Pop

01:35Kyle Williams Efton Chisholm and even if they move on from Keyshawn Booty they're still carrying six
01:41receivers which is not necessarily a given that they'll do that again when you have Marcus Jones
01:45as one of your primary returners so I just am looking for me that is one of the points of
01:51fascination for this summer who's going to shake out of this wide receiver room they've proven last
01:57summer that they would move on from draft picks like Jalen Polk and Javon Baker so I think it's going
02:02to be really interesting to watch this battle.

03:09going to use AJ Brown and that those situations the majority of the time you know how much are they
03:14going to eat into his snaps is it worth keeping him around so I I think it's those two guys

03:25obviously Matt Collins we talked about pop Douglas Kyle Williams but I think it's those two guys and
03:31they have a lot of options in there to see who's going to fall and who's going to be that

03:42if they do get into some four wide receiver sets which they probably don't get into a lot let's be
03:47honest when you kind of look at their offense adjustment they have to though with how light the
03:51tight end room is right so they may be like that what they but they what they might do shine

03:57more two back sets than three wide uh four wide receiver sets because we know Josh McDaniel loves
04:04the two tight end sets but obviously because of the injury to Hill yeah we'll see how much of the
04:08rookie gets some playing time a little bit I guess if you want to look at what the issues might

04:13little bit of an issue when it comes to the second round pick and we'll hear what Mike Rabel said

04:51the minicamp stats you know it just shows it's if you're going to look at anything you look at
04:57what it like what you got from that shows that he can play high balls he's got good body control
05:03shows that Drake may get the ball out of his hand quickly like that's what you look for can you
05:08compare it to this time last year though and say wow it looks like a much cleaner operation yeah you
05:13could do that okay I'd say I'd say that compared to this time yeah you could definitely do that that's
05:17what you saw in in general yesterday yeah I thought the offense looked way smoother right and that's
05:23because of Drake may really distracted did he look overwhelmed by the moment that was in front of him
05:27what was what was the what was the big talk about the trick play and nobody in the nobody
05:32we're not supposed to talk about right you're not supposed to talk we're not supposed to talk
05:35about that so how does that work so you're there as reporters yes reporters yes there's certain
05:41things that because they show us the entirety of practice there are certain things where they say
05:48please do not report on this because we don't want you giving up all the state secrets okay do they
05:53make you sign something like an NDA or something or do they threaten your children or your family like
05:58I think they take your credential if you break the rules that they ask you to follow so you're down
06:02there as a reporter and they run some incredible never before executed gadget and you're not allowed to
06:10share that with the world like with the Patriots fans what we're allowed to do is when they do it
