00:24slide towards the relegation zone, receiving his marching orders after a goalless draw against
00:29Wolverhampton. They fired 35 efforts on goal without finding the target, and it proved to be the final
00:37straw, as Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis pulled the trigger once again. From a top seven finish
00:43last season, they are now flirting with the bottom three. Just three points separates them from 18th
00:49place, West Ham. We haven't been good enough, and yeah, you can't pinpoint on an individual. We all
00:58have to take responsibility as a club. To say it's been a turbulent season at Forest would be an
01:04understatement. So much so that they are now on to their fourth manager this term.
01:14If it's any consolation for Deitch, he lasted longer than his predecessor, Ange Postacoglu,
01:18who was fired after only 39 days in charge last year. Deitch was hired to steer Forest away from
01:28relegation danger, and a 3-0 win at Liverpool in November was as good as it got for the Englishman.
01:34Pleased for lots of reasons, pleased for the players mainly. You know, I spoke openly when I first got
01:39here about the, you know, having three managers in short succession, you know, players trying to
01:44realign again, and they've done very well with it, and I commend them on it. I think that's
01:50a very solid marker against the top side today.
01:54More solid results in January earned Deitch a nomination for Premier League Manager of the Month,
01:59but two weeks into February, he is now out of a job.
02:04His sacking is the latest chapter in an utterly chaotic season at Nottingham Forest,
02:09where relegation to the Championship is a realistic possibility.
02:14With a bottom three finish looming large, Forest have entered uncharted territory in the Premier League
02:19by appointing a fourth manager this term.
