00:40in june we're gonna have a dingler conversation at some point this morning yeah i mean guys on fire
00:46and the team now doing exactly what they said they had to do if they were gonna get back in

00:52couldn't just be lukewarm they couldn't just get healthy and bump along a game or two above 500 they
00:58were gonna have to catch fire and the bats have certainly caught fire pitching has been good and

02:58so you mentioned total bases for dingler last night 11 total bases it's the second time this year
03:06that he's had 11 total bases wow and the other one in june too yeah june one
03:13when was the last time i don't expect you to know this but maybe you could guess the player

05:57dingler green mcgonigal carp who has been on fire since he's back as well he's batting over 300
06:04yesterday yep and and torres like now all of a sudden is this lineup harder to pitch against which
06:13means you get better opportunity by dingler which is some of the reason why he's having the judy's
06:19having mcgonigal green i mean there's no doubt is it just for the bats that simple well we were
06:28talking about it before they were hurt that the lineup felt longer that was right in part because
06:36of mcgonigal's impact at the top of the order that they weren't nine deep very light very few lineups
06:41are but that you just rattled off five guys that can make a lineup feel like a hard day's work

06:47an opposing starting pitcher i have no issue and i said it even during may if you want to point

06:54the injuries are hurting this team because they were yeah but they weren't the only reason this
06:59team dug themselves a hole they were botching plays in the field yeah it looked like a little
07:04league in the field their bullpen erupted seemingly every night and the bats that were healthy weren't
07:10delivering i'm talking about guys like torque and cole keith the problem with hey they're healthy so it's
07:17going to be okay even if injuries explained all of may may still happened right so they have to
07:24wash it away right they have to play like a hundred win ball club to really get back in this

07:30winning six of seven it's it's a better pace than a hundred wins no kidding i mean that's what they
07:36needed to do they needed to start ripping off a bunch of these games in a row what do you

07:44see through and i know houston's in there yeah so we'll go ahead and throw them in but they've got
07:5012 games they're 11 left they're 1-0 against now minnesota they're going to have on the road to
07:58cleveland that the three games against houston and then the white socks three division opponents nine
08:03games throw in houston you get 12 games what do you need to see out of this 12 game stretch

09:01were five games back and if they had swept them it would have been one back if they had didn't

09:15can change before they play cleveland because hey they gained they picked up a game yesterday
09:19if they get there and they're seven to eight back and they sweep the guardians now they could be

09:33it seems much more manageable and it does feel like today's a big day it's a bullpen for scuble

10:22because everybody's got to get a player what's what's weird too is like he's kind of having his
10:26best season yeah and he's been an all-star for what three years now two years he leads all american
10:32league outfielders in batting average yeah which you know talk about what batting average is worth in
10:382026 you look at other stats but he still ranks among the best batters in the american league outfield
10:44but there's guys like trout bellinger buxton who we saw last night one of the boston outfielders
10:50rafaela or a breu one of the seattle outfielders in a rosarena or julio rodriguez it just gets really
10:56crowded but they you could make a case just see who ends up you know putting together a good june
11:01here that they could get as many as three all-stars legit all-stars not token everybody's got to get

11:12of fan recognition and what's having a better year but mcgonigle's right on his heels yeah and should be a
11:16reserve in the all-star game which is amazing as a rookie it's unbelievable going from double to to
11:21the bigs and it's just what he is doing is so much fun to watch and i know he wasn't

11:28but they didn't need him yesterday when they've needed him he's been he's been the best bat that
