00:20under Section 376, subsection 3 of the Penal Code. The case is believed to have surfaced
00:27after the teenage victim opened up to her mother about the alleged assault, prompting a police
00:32report to be filed on Monday. Investigations revealed the victim had been living with her
00:37grandfather in Batu Pahat following her parents' divorce, before her mother brought her back to
00:42a northern state in April. The mother is said to have grown suspicious after noticing her daughter
00:48exchanging messages with an acquaintance. The teenager initially kept silent, but eventually
00:54disclosed that she had allegedly been assaulted by her own grandfather. The incidents are
00:59believed to have taken place throughout last year, with the final alleged incident occurring
01:04in December.
