The United States and Iran have agreed on a framework for a peace deal and are expected to sign the initial deal in the next 24 hours, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Saturday (June 13).

00:02The Pakistani government, which is mediating to end the U.S. and Israel war against Iran,
00:08said on Saturday that they are closer to a peace deal than ever before.
00:13Its Prime Minister Shabazz Sharif said with the finalization of the deal expected in the next 24 hours,
00:19Pakistan is preparing for the electronic signing of the deal immediately after,
00:24followed by technical level talks next week.
00:27He said they are confident that the deal will form a strong foundation for lasting peace.
00:32Pakistan's foreign ministry also said they spoke to their Swiss counterpart,
00:36and they welcomed the progress towards an understanding between Iran and the United States.
00:42Reports said that both sides had agreed on a text,
00:45and that Washington expects to sign the deal in coming days.
00:49Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on Friday,
00:53nuclear talks with the U.S. would only take place at a later stage,
00:57and would not proceed unless the proposed interim deal was implemented.
