03:42Just going to see you
03:45Morning, Penny
03:46Morning, Miss Hooley
03:47Hi, kid
03:48Hi
03:50Miss Hooley
03:51I thought you might be able to use these old magazines in class
03:55Oh, thanks a lot
03:57They look great
03:58Oh, and they're so colourful too
04:00Oh, these will be perfect for the children to make collages with
04:03Oh, good
04:04Oh, but if you could promise to keep all the scraps of leftover paper for me
04:08I'd be really grateful
04:09Paper scraps?
04:10Yes, you see, Susie has decided to find a way of saving and recycling
04:14All scraps of paper folk leave around the place
04:17Oh, look at the time
04:19I must be going
04:20I've got to pick up the barrel from Edie
04:22That'll make a perfect recycling bin for Susie
04:25Oh, what a good idea
04:26See you later
04:28Bye, Penny
04:30So, I wonder which colour house Penny will visit first today
04:41Can you see all the different coloured houses sitting by the sea?
04:47Well, it's part of the story in Balamore
04:50Yes, which is the house for me?
04:53Is it orange? Is it red?
04:56Or should we go to the blue house instead?
04:59Yellow, green
05:00White or pink
05:01Tell me what do you think?
05:04It's the blue house!
05:07Yes, it's the blue house because that's where Edie McCready lives
05:15Oh, this barrel is just the thing
05:18Hello, Edie
05:19Oh, hi Penny
05:20Oh, what's the matter?
05:23Oh, nothing
05:25Only, well, it's just a little bit dull, isn't it?
05:28Susie will be disappointed if no one notices it
05:31Hey, let's liven it up
05:33First, we should have a paper symbol with a tick across it
05:37Telling us it's okay to drop paper in it
05:40Uh, paper?
05:49Great
05:51There we are
05:53That's that
05:54Not quite
05:56We also need to tell people what not to put in the barrel
05:59Oh, what not to put in
06:02Here's a bottle sign
06:04Perfect
06:05Great
06:06And, er, just a red pen
06:08Here
06:13X means no bottles
06:20There
06:22And what about cans?
06:23Susie wouldn't be happy if she went empty the barrel
06:25I wouldn't have to find tin cans and bottles, would she?
06:28There's the cans
06:34X means no cans
06:43Oh, and, er, here's an old boot, should we use that?
06:47Ah, yes, we don't want any old boots in a barrel, do we?
06:54X means no old boots
06:59Good
07:02Now, nobody will get in a muddle
07:04Right, would you like me to give you and, er, Susie's paper barrel a lift back to the shop?
07:09Oh, yes, please, Edie
07:10I can't wait to show Susie what we've been up to
07:12Oh, right, let's go
07:27Closed?
07:28The shop shouldn't be closed at this time
07:34Oh, I know, Susie must have taken the money from the tills to the bank
07:39Now, where do you want this barrel, Penny?
07:41In the cafe, follow me
07:43Right, lead the way
07:50Oh, now, where would you like me to put this?
07:55Oh, just there'll be fine
07:56Susie can decide where to put it when she gets back
08:04Who was that?
08:06Who was what?
08:08Well, I thought I saw someone in a bowler hat just
08:12A bowler hat? You must be imagining things
08:19I didn't imagine that
08:23There's someone in the shop
08:26It could be a burglars
08:28It could be a burglars
08:29It could be a burglars
08:37The till's empty
08:39All the money's gone
08:41The shop's been robbed
08:43Oh, we were right, there was a burglar
08:46Well, what shall we do?
08:48Who can we call for help in Balamori?
08:51There's only one person great at catching burglars in Balamori
08:55And that's...
08:56PC Plum
09:02I'm PC Plum
09:04And I tell you what I've done
09:06I've peddled round this island more than once or twice
09:11And if you call on me, we can make a cup of tea
09:15I'll tell you all about the bees and birds and mice
09:22I'm PC Plum
09:24I'm PC Plum
09:24And I tell you who I am
09:26I'm your policeman
09:27And I'll always be your chum
09:30With my magnifying glass
09:33I can look between the grass
09:35And all the tiny beasties
09:37We look at them run
09:40You can bet you'll see me coming
09:45On my bike
09:46I'm riding round the town
09:49In the country
09:51I've checked on all the wildlife
09:53The people, trees and animals
09:56I keep them safe and sound
09:58Safe and sound
10:03I'm PC Plum
10:13PC Plum
10:15I'm just a chicken
10:17PC Plum
10:19I love the country
10:22PC Plum
10:24Be careful crossing
10:26PC Plum
10:28I found your doggy
10:31PC Plum
10:33Here's your handbag
10:35PC Plum
10:40PC Plum
10:41Oh Plum
10:41Oh Plum
10:43Oh Plum
10:43I'm glad to see you
10:45I came as soon as I got your call
10:46So, what's the story in Balamori?
10:48Well, it all started this morning
10:55I went to visit Miss Hooley at the nursery
10:58To tell her about Susie's plan to encourage people to bring all their old newspapers to be recycled at the
11:04cafe
11:08I popped over to Edie's to pick up a barrel which we could use
11:13The barrel looked a bit plain though
11:15So we set about decorating it and turning it into a proper recycling paper barrel
11:24When we finished, we took it to the shop where we saw a burglar with a moustache and a bowler
11:30hat stealing all the money from the till
11:38Right, this calls for some serious detective work
11:42Now, let me think
11:44Where do I start?
11:47Ah, I know exactly what I'm looking for
11:49What's up Plummy?
11:50Clues
11:52These keys are most definitely a clue
11:55Oh, they could be the keys to the getaway car, you know
11:57Well you won't get far with those Plummy because they're the keys to my bus which is still standing outside
12:02Quite, here I need
12:03Oh!
12:04Oh, I'm so sorry
12:05Oh, I'm so clumsy, Edie
12:07Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
12:09I'm sorry
12:09Oh, dear
12:12Oh, yes
12:13Oh, well done, Edie
12:16Where did this come from?
12:18Is it yours, Penny?
12:20No
12:20Is it yours, Edie?
12:21No
12:23I wonder who it belongs to
12:25I wonder if it belongs to the
12:30Where did it go?
12:31Where did it go?
12:32The burglar has come back for his walking stick
12:35And he's in the cafe
12:39Right
12:46You're right
12:48Edie?
12:48Penny?
12:50We'll just wait here
12:55Now, don't you move a muscle
12:58Oh, you're not moving
13:00Right, you're trying to be clever, are you?
13:02Well, it won't work with me
13:03I need you to answer a few questions
13:05Right, first things first
13:07Who are you?
13:10Don't you know?
13:12Right, well, erm
13:13We'll start again
13:17That was strange
13:19Erm
13:20Right, let's have another question
13:22Where do you live?
13:25Hmm
13:26Keeping still, are we then, sir?
13:32Aha!
13:33That I'm onto you
13:34You only ever move
13:35When I throw paper into the barrel
13:37Let's see if I'm right
13:38Hmm
13:46Why would a burglar do that?
13:48Maybe Penny and Edie would have an idea
13:53Penny, Edie, you can come out now
13:55Now, everything's under control
13:57But I might need your help to solve this one
13:59If you could just come this way
14:06Susie!
14:06Did you see him go?
14:08Who?
14:09The burglar!
14:10He was standing in here a minute ago
14:12I don't know what you mean
14:13I've been here for ages and I've never seen a burglar
14:16Just PC plum?
14:17No burglar!
14:19Well, this is a mystery
14:21Hold on
14:23I don't think this mystery will be too difficult to solve
14:26Look, some clues
14:28A walking stick as used by the burglar
14:31And a bowler hat as seen on the burglar
14:36And a moustache as worn by the burglar
14:42Isn't that right, Susie?
14:44You've seen through my disguise
14:46At last, PC plum
14:47Your disguise?
14:49Yes, but I'm no burglar
14:51I took the money from the till
14:53Because the bank was about to close
14:55But why the disguise?
14:57Yes, and why did you do that funny little dance
14:59Every time I put paper into the barrel?
15:01Well, that was all part of my recycling plan
15:04You see, I thought people would be encouraged to use my recycling barrel
15:08If they found something funny
15:10So, I pretended to be a statue
15:13A living statue
15:15That would do a wee thank you dance
15:18Whenever you put paper into the recycling barrel
15:21Oh, Susie, what a clever plan
15:24Ah, but will it work?
15:26I've only tested it on PC plum
15:29I know the perfect place to test out your new recycling plan
15:33Where?
15:34The nursery
15:41I have a small container
15:43Where?
16:07Inch
16:23I'm so excited.
16:43So, after all of that, Miss Hooley, what have we got?
16:48One bin full of paper for recycling.
16:58So what was the story in Balamori today?
17:08Penny came to drop some paper off for the children's collages this morning and told me about Susie's
17:13plans to start recycling all the paper from the cafe and shop.
17:20Edie found Penny a perfect barrel to put the paper in.
17:27He brought it to the shop where they saw a burglar with a moustache and a bowler hat stealing
17:33all the money from the till.
17:37The burglar escaped so they called for PC Plum's help.
17:41He soon found clues which led them to the burglar who turned out to be Susie.
17:47She was dressed up as part of her plan to make people put old paper into her recycling barrel.
17:56Penny told Susie to try her new living statue idea out on the children at the nursery, which
18:02she did.
18:03We all had a great time playing statues.
18:10So that was the story in Balamori.
18:14Bye!
18:15Bye!
18:15Bye!
18:16Bye!
18:17Bye!
18:17Bye!
18:23Bye!
18:27Bye!
18:31Bye!
18:34Bye!
18:34Bye!
18:38Bye!
18:41Bye!
18:49What's the story of Balamori, wouldn't you like to know?
