00:01A change in Malaysia's opposition landscape.
00:04PAS has announced it is ending its cooperation with Bersatu,
00:07throwing the Perikatan National Coalition into uncertainty.
00:11PAS Information Chief Ahmad Fadli Shari made the position clear on Tuesday.
00:16His party can no longer remain under the Perikatan national umbrella alongside Bersatu.
00:21He said the decision was not driven by emotion or short-term politics,
00:25but by a sober assessment of whether the partnership
00:27could still serve the goals of Muslim unity and national political stability.
00:32The announcement had come the night before.
00:34Late Monday, PAS President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang
00:37declared that the party had decided to terminate its political cooperation with Bersatu,
00:41following a special meeting of the PAS Central Working Committee at party headquarters.
00:46Ahmad Fadli gave assurances that the formal positions of both PAS and Bersatu
00:50within Perikatan National would be managed according to the coalition's constitutional provisions
00:55and resolved through the proper channels.
00:57But with two of its biggest pillars now at odds,
01:00the future of Perikatan National as a unified opposition force hangs in the balance.
01:06As of the time of this report, Bersatu has yet to issue any statement in response to PAS's decision.
01:13If the measure of Michigan is likely to be determined,
01:15that is the ability to measure strict rules to the PAS and thudy.
01:15We have had a lot of expectations for the future of a professional power,
01:16that is not believed.
01:16So it is the ability to measure that PAS's decision is possible to make a struggle,
01:17and we have a lot of expectations for this sport.
01:17and I'm not aware of any of its capabilities that it is to take the sort of power to the
01:19ground.
01:19If it is, it is possible that it is possible to have to afford the most
01:21way of having participate in the development,
01:22and that is possible to show because of our first-way transition with the air.
