Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has confirmed the party will remain in Perikatan Nasional following PAS's decision to terminate its political cooperation with the party.

In a statement on Tuesday (June 9), Muhyiddin expressed disappointment over the end of the partnership but said Bersatu, as a founding member of PN, would stay the course and continue advancing its people-centric agenda.

00:02Bersatu has responded to past cutting ties and walking away from their political partnership.
00:07Its president, Tanshri Muhyiddin Yassin, says the party is going nowhere.
00:11In a statement on Tuesday, Muhyiddin made Bersatu's stance unambiguous,
00:16that the party will remain within Perikatan National
00:19and will continue to strengthen its core struggle as one of the coalition's founding members.
00:24He, however, did not hide his disappointment,
00:27saying the cooperation between the two parties, built on mutual understanding,
00:32had now been terminated at PAS's own discretion.
00:35But he stopped short of a direct rebuke, keeping his statement measured and forward-looking.
00:40Looking ahead, Muhyiddin called on Bersatu's leaders, members and supporters at every level to stay focused,
00:47placing the people's interests above all else and redoubling their efforts to strengthen Perikatan from within.
00:53He expressed confidence that Malaysians who share the coalition's ideals
00:56would remain firmly behind them.
