00:00We got some troubling news just a couple minutes ago about Stacey King passing away,
00:04a member of those great Bulls teams.
00:06Just some of your thoughts again here on Stacey passing away.
00:10Well, I covered him as a player.
00:11And me and Dan Jiggins were partnered at WSCR back in the day, 1180,
00:16when we started the station.
00:18And the Bulls teams, you know, the Bears were great to us,
00:22and we had guys like Dick and Buddy Ryan that were contributors.
00:24We had an owner that wasn't afraid to spend.
00:26That's why he sold the station, two stations, for $75 million four years later
00:31because he built it up.
00:33And we knew we got the top players back then.
00:35We had Jordan on.
00:37We had them all.
00:39The Bulls were as important to my station than anybody else
00:43because they won every year from the time we started, 92 on.
00:47And Stacey King was one of the contributors on that team.
00:51We had him on.
00:53Him and Scott Williams, you know, some of the bench players,
00:56Ron Harper, who was a starter but, you know, not the most important guy.
01:01We didn't know he was great.
01:03And these guys were tremendous.
01:05And Jiggins, Dan Jiggins and I used to say,
01:07boy, this guy's going to be in broadcasting someday.
01:09I never thought he'd take over for Johnny Kerr and become the announcer he was.
01:14It's a loss for Chicago.
01:16He loves Chicago.
01:17He was a former head coach in the CBA.
01:21And Jerry Reinsdorf brought him in.
01:23And I know that Adam Amin and everybody in Chicago is sick.
01:27I think we can all agree he's one of the first championship Bulls,
01:32first three to go.
01:34And it's pretty tough.
01:35And I'll see you next time.
01:35Here we'll see you next time.
01:35Bye.
