00:00All right, so let's get to last night in the NBA.
00:02We'll start off with the Doncic show, the Luka show.
00:05It's 46 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists, and 8 three-pointers.
00:10I should have probably checked before we came on here on FanDuel
00:13to see where Luka is as opposed to Shea Gilgis-Alexander.
00:16Lakers win 129-118.
00:19I got to tell you here, you know, SGA probably ends up winning the MVP again.
00:25But, I mean, Luka keeps putting up 45-46 along the line here, Gilbert.
00:30He's going to put up a fight here toward the end.
00:33Absolutely, and you always get a little bit of a bonus
00:34when you play for the Lakers and you're wearing purple and gold.
00:37People see that a little bit different than they do from other star players,
00:40especially Shea, who won it last year.
00:42Some other guys to consider are Cade Cunningham and Jalen Brown,
00:46also in that MVP conversation.
00:48But as far as Luka Doncic stepping up,
00:50the Lakers have been playing a little bit better as of late,
00:52but they also are a team who really take advantage
00:54when they play against lesser opponents.
00:56The Bulls probably qualify as a lesser opponent,
00:58and Luka Doncic has a relationship with Michael Jordan.
01:01So it's fitting to see him play in the building
01:03that Michael Jordan built himself, basically,
01:06and have a game like that.
01:07So shouldn't be surprised.
01:09I'm interested to see what the Lakers do,
01:10maybe at the trade deadline,
01:11and how they can start competing and doing better
01:13against some of the stronger teams in the Western Conference.
01:16But so long as they continue to take care of business like this,
01:18they'll be among the top six teams.
