I created a new mythology (from an old one) surrounding this track from Glass's larger work Anima Mundi. I really like this Glass song and only wish it was longer, like The Photographer. Compelling, mysterious, and hypnotic, it echoes on long after the music has stopped. The first half of the video is motion picture from films, shorts, and documentaries. It is dark, mystical, romantic, and treads the rim of Glass tragedy. The second half is an AI motion picture narrative about what happens when humans in motorboats stir awake a small community of sirens, mermaids, Nereids, and various sea nymphs in a lagoon surrounded by castle ruins ... and what happens between one particular Siren and a mortal. Yet another romantic venture into tragedy.
