This rocker from 1972 has survived 54 years as a Sports anthem, a Rock anthem, and a Party/Celebration anthem. It is played as much today as it was 10 years ago, 30 years ago, or over 50 years ago. I heard it a few days ago blasting from a nearby bar on my way walking to a 711. The entire song, "Rock and Roll" was recorded by English singer Gary Glitter, released in 1972 from his debut studio album, Glitter. The 45 single was broken up into Part 1 and Part 2, but it was Part 2 that became the most popular in North America. "Rock and Roll" peaked at #2 on the UK Singles Chart, but in the US, the instrumental version (Part 2) hit #3 on Cash Box and #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 on September 23, 1972.

This is my fourth mythologically inspired AI music video exploring sirens, mermaids, and sea nymphs through a modern lens. This one focuses on the royalty of sea nymphs: the Nereids. Every year in their honor at a nearby harbor town named Seahaven, not far from the lagoon with castle ruins where they live, a place and a town that has been attracting tourists for the last 20 years or longer, a special beauty contest is held for them. Tourists from all over the world come to see the Annual Royal Nereid Sea Nymph Beauty Pageant held at the Salty Dog Bar & Grill ... and one can count on the mermaids, Oceanids, and sirens to ham it up so they can get some attention too. Especially with so many paparazzi around. A fun video for most of you, I hope.
