00:00Do you think that today your father, Christophe Reeve, 20 years after his death,
00:06is remembered better as the interpreter of cinema of Superman or for his activism?
00:14That's a good question. I don't know. In terms of how I meet people, I would say it's 50-50.
00:22And it depends where I am. I think in America, I think people remember more of him
00:28as an advocate for the disabled and his time in the wheelchair just because he was in the media a
00:34bit more in America.
00:35Around the world, Superman, no question.
00:39And what do you prefer?
00:42I prefer both. He's my dad.
00:45As he says towards the end of the documentary, he started to see his life as one whole continuum
00:53and not a life of two halves before and after the accident.
00:57And I think that was a really important revelation for him.
01:00But it was also a really important revelation for me to understand that he sort of reached that degree of
01:07understanding and acceptance and realization.
01:14Everybody's looking for a hero.
01:17I am not a hero.
01:19That was a part. I played the part. I'm not that man.
01:23Superman, crazy. Just that simple little thing over the horse.
01:27I'd ruined my life and everybody else's.
