01:06buried a place to slow down to wander and to be surprised at every turn as you know here on
01:14escape
01:14to the country we travel to the four beautiful corners of Great Britain seeking rural and property
01:21perfection from Cornwall through to Kent right up to the right and left of the Scottish Highlands but
01:27for me now it's all about the five corners because here in southwest Wales well take a look it truly
01:36deserves to be up there with all the rest today's search will focus on the counties of Pembrokeshire
01:42and Ceredigion in Wales's southwest with almost 250 miles of coastline between them it's a landscape
01:50shaped by tides and centuries of human history oh my ma de Cymru and here and hyggol kemglad
01:59a of course of order a drefydd sy gyda ni Aberystwydd Abereron Aberteifi mi'n sainsynnu bod ni'n tynnu
02:07a new key visitors can get up close to a variety of seabird and marine wildlife in their natural
02:18habitat by taking a boat trip out into the Atlantic and along the coast in cardigan the town blends
02:25medieval history with lively markets and cultural events the best thing about living here is the
02:32lifestyle it's slow paced the perfect place to raise children with the sea the beaches you couldn't
02:38wish for anything better really well now we know the area it's time to meet our buyer hi my name's
02:53Carol and I'm her son Greg not only are we escaping to the country but we are escaping to the
02:59country with
03:00the capital C Wales that's a good one yeah we can make a t-shirt for that retired maths tutor
03:06and
03:06teaching assistant Carol has lived in the Somerset village of Backwell just outside Bristol for the
03:12past 38 years it's where she and husband Frank a retired engineer raised their now three grown-up
03:19children including youngest son Greg and Greg is going to help me search for new property in West Wales
03:27to suit my husband and me for us to live in but also for my children and grandchildren come and
03:33visit
03:34yeah me and my brothers and sisters all have children of our own now and we want to help mom
03:39and dad find a house that will suit the whole family and we can kind of get free holidays would
03:44be nice
03:45bring the whole family along whilst Greg and his siblings have holidays in mind for Carol this move
03:51is about returning to her roots so I was brought up in Swansea and whenever we could we'd be on
03:58the
03:58beach weekends after school and I was forever in and out in and out in and out of the sea
04:03West Wales offers
04:04us the mixture of similar beaches to the Gower but it's not as busy as the Gower has now become
04:12sea swims
04:14and coastal walks with Petra the dog could soon be part of daily life all that's left is to find
04:20that
04:21dream home I think I'll fall in love with character a lot more than you and you'll be thinking practically
04:27how this is work which is probably the right thing to be thinking I will but I'm not going to
04:32think
04:32practically at all no armed with a budget of 750,000 pounds Carol and Greg are on the hunt for
04:40a detached
04:41four-bedroom home and they've drawn up a wish list of must-haves all starting with the letter P they
04:48want
04:48a private garden with room for Petra the dog parking for their motor home and ideally some solar panels on
04:56the roof it needs to be close to the coast path in a peaceful rural setting I love the way
05:08that Carol
05:09is is looking at this move as not just a home for the two of them but also for the
05:14family when they
05:14come to stay but it is important to remember that this is their home they've now retired this has been
05:20the dream they've got the motor home but they also want a beautiful area to live in to make new
05:26friends be part of a community and just to enjoy this stunning countryside and coast
05:39so with the coast and countryside as our backdrop we're meeting up to talk and take it all in
05:47oh wow look at that not bad you'd move anywhere for that view wouldn't you I thought I'd set the
05:54tone
05:54it is gorgeous isn't it yeah well Carol and Greg I've got to say thank you for bringing us here
06:00lots to show you while we're here I mean the landscape is fantastic but when it actually
06:04comes to the property itself yes what's the one thing you think is missing from your current home
06:09that you'd like to see in the new one the peace and quiet just standing here and it's just so
06:15peaceful
06:16isn't it and the beaches in West Wales are just superb aren't they gorgeous you can't beat them
06:22lovely Frank isn't with us today you're mysterious but we have the wonderful Greg I'll do the most best as
06:31I can to speak on my dad's behalf I think what do you think your dad is going to be
06:35looking for with
06:36this move they're very similar in what they want dad would be more remote if he could he'd be on
06:42an
06:42island out in the middle of nowhere if he got away with it would he so mysterious Frank loves peace
06:47and
06:47quiet are you the same Carol or do you like a little bit of a I'm a bit of a
06:51not social butterfly
06:52but at this stage of our life you're still young enough to meet new friends and I'm hoping that's
06:57what we'll get absolutely should we get started definitely I am really looking forward to showing
07:03you around come on we're looking forward to it we're starting off in North Pembrokeshire heading for
07:11the village of Moral Grove set within the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park getting outdoors
07:19here couldn't be easier and with the larger village of some dog males just four miles away all the day
07:27to day essentials are close at hand as if our first property tour wasn't exciting enough I'm cranking up
07:35the suspense till the very last second on three we're allowed to look up okay one two three oh
07:45wow oh I love that stonework oh oh gosh you do have neighbors around here oh that's nice all their
07:53gardens are well kept beautiful flowers oh oh there's I see this fruit trees dad um he's gonna
08:03love this garden you're gonna have me crying this oh there's a greenhouse oh look there's just so much
08:09explore can we explore we can explore where would you like to start first can we start in the garden
08:15we can start on the garden occupying almost an acre the garden sweep around all four sides of the
08:22property with surprises at every turn you've even got another greenhouse around here from the secret
08:29garden another greenhouse yeah it goes on it goes on a vibrant mix of trees shrubs and colorful borders
08:36it creates a sense of tranquility that carries seamlessly into the house itself let's see if
08:46the house gets the same reaction oh gosh this is oh oh I can imagine us here on a winter's
08:55evening
08:55come on in oh I don't know if I want to I want to stay here oh lovely lovely yes
09:04it's a good welcoming
09:05room it's cozy isn't it it is yes oh I've got enough headroom I've not hit my dad shorter than
09:12me so
09:12that's all right so I'm thinking you know this could be do you remember Sunday best when you went
09:18into the room on a Sunday oh yes they used to have those very matching welsh houses your front room
09:23yeah your Sunday Sunday best I can think Christmas things like this but day to day oh I've got an
09:29inkling that you'll spend more time next door let's have a look you've got to be good with steps in
09:38this house but that's fine oh wow we are on oh my gosh it comes up even more I love
09:44that is that the
09:45old that must be the old fireplace yeah that is amazing there's 16 of us when we all get together
09:50now and I think you could fit in a big enough table in here if you wanted everyone in this
09:54one
09:54room couldn't you yes yes we could because it goes quite far back there you could do yeah or
09:59adults in this room children next door oh that is a fantastic idea oh this would so work nice and
10:09this is very very private isn't it I mean even from your neighbours you know and you could have
10:14milder stonework every day yeah even if it's raining would mysterious Frank approve
10:23full of character yet perfectly practical downstairs a utility would make an ideal
10:30boot room after coastal walks with Petra the dog while the adjoining shower room could
10:35be a welcome bonus when family visit then stairs from the hall provide access to a
10:40family bathroom and three of the properties bedrooms a few more steps worth it
10:50to bring you I think up here definitely worth it it's very spacious and it's got all that
10:54storage there yeah downstairs is definitely like you can move straight in I think up here you'd want
10:59to change it more to suit you and like get your style in it a bit more and it's a
11:04nice size bedroom
11:04isn't it it's a very good size storage I might be tempted to actually bring it forward so you can
11:10actually hang things or something things you could do but it's beautiful it's it's it's got all that
11:16character that I didn't realize I wanted quite so much really yeah are you surprising yourself I am
11:23we came here for the space but it looks like the character stealing the show there's also a fourth
11:29bedroom accessed via a separate staircase and benefiting from a wonderful balcony outside
11:36there's a large stone outbuilding and a garage plus plenty of space on the driveway for the motorhome and as
11:42we
11:42round off the tour back in the garden the property's charm is clear from every angle
11:51standing here I mean how attractive does it all look I'm blown away I have to say I really am
11:59so
11:59it's gonna be quite tough I think to start off with yeah let me ask you to guess the price
12:03yeah you go
12:04first oh okay I'm going to be a bit conservative and say the 700 okay I'm gonna go a little
12:13bit
12:13higher I'm gonna say seven to five seven hundred and twenty five thousand pounds leaves us something
12:18in the budget it does well I'm going to tell you that it actually leaves a little bit more in
12:24the
12:24budget yes to change those bedrooms around yes asking price six hundred and forty-five thousand six
12:30forty-five yeah my word I I think this is it surprised you yeah I don't think we need look
12:36at the
12:36other three checkbook out coming in at a hundred and five thousand pounds under their top budget this
12:45detached stone cottage is perfect for hosting family with four bedrooms and two bathrooms set in a peaceful
12:52coastal village the garden stretches for nearly an acre and opens on to far-reaching countryside views
13:02as soon as we walked in I felt like I could imagine mom and dad living here sitting out in
13:09the gardens me
13:10and my brother and sister will probably be fighting over who gets to spend more time down here over the
13:14summer holidays well I was blown away by it I probably wouldn't do anything to downstairs upstairs I
13:22would want to reconfigure a bet but what a fantastic first start
13:40Carol and Greg has spent many happy holidays exploring the Gower coast in South Wales where Carol grew up now
13:48as she settles into this new area there'll be countless new towns and beaches to discover with her family so
13:55we're taking a short break
13:56from property shopping to explore one such place the seaside town of Aberaeron century place along Ceredigian's coast the town
14:06began life in the early 1800s as a hub for shipbuilding steamships continue to cool here until the 1920s and
14:15today it's a stylish year-round destination
14:20in the winter it's nice to go back to your cozy little house in the summer it's beautiful because it's
14:25full of people eating drinking and everybody has a good time I mean the population of Aberaeron 2500 in the
14:32summer it's 5000
14:34so over the summer period we have things like carnival on bank holiday Monday it's one of the biggest carnivals
14:38around we also have the mackerel fiesta which also happens on bank holiday if you're into your sports there's plenty
14:44to do like the rugby sevens the food scene is in abundance there's loads of cafes hotels restaurants and everyone
14:55has their own little thing going on so fine dining comfort food you've got everything and there's a lot of
15:00places to eat food really good food if you've ever considered
15:03painting your home a bold colour Aberaeron is the place to come for inspiration its distinctive Regency style houses line
15:12the waterfront and create a striking welcome for visitors
15:16oh those are pretty houses along there isn't it yeah which colour house would you want oh well you know
15:22blue is my favourite colour I actually like that kind of one next to the red one I'd like the
15:27red one that's pretty
15:29at the harbour historic buildings house a mix of independent shops and art galleries are these lampshades yeah they're lampshades
15:38that's cool isn't it imagine that in your house oh I love that I tell you what if you buy
15:44a house yeah you can buy that
15:47one thing they don't need to wait to buy is ice cream and in Aberaeron that means a stop at
15:53the hive cafe for a scoop of its famous honey ice cream that looks amazing
15:59I bet it tastes amazing I bet it tastes amazing too there we are thank you very much have a
16:03nice day cheers thank you
16:06that's just nice yeah refreshed by a sweet treat and a dose of sea air Carolyn and Greg are ready
16:14to continue the search with more houses still waiting to be discovered
16:26we're skipping over the border into Ceredigion heading to the village of Hanon if the first property was all about
16:33peace and seclusion this one is about convenience with a post office a pub restaurant and chip shop on the
16:42doorstep best of all the house is just a ten minute stroll from the beach and is not a
16:49bad to look at either oh my word oh my goodness the children know my husband knows that I've always
16:56dreamt about a double fronted house look at the rose growing up outside that's beautiful isn't it absolutely
17:01the colors as well the windows beautiful on a scale of one to ten where does this rate on first
17:07impressions first impressions 10 definitely look at that rose growing up the side of those bays the bay windows
17:14I love it all right let's see how we get on this double fronted home is as elegant as they
17:22come it was built in the 1850s by a local sea captain for his daughter who judging by the size
17:29of it I can only assume had a very large family
17:34come through
17:35come through
17:36come through oh look at this oh wow oh that's an entrance isn't it that is an entrance lovely beautiful
17:41lovely and this is just the beginning of the tour
17:45oh it's so it's the two windows side yeah it's very light isn't it and looking you know onto the
17:52field there and then the garden yes I could see myself living in here I have to see the kitchen
17:57but I just love love the space here yeah you buy this and I'll be coming to stay oh yes
18:04please you are more than welcome
18:06that's next year's holiday sorted then let's turn our attention to the kitchen which stays true to the property's original
18:14style
18:16let's see what Carol makes of the kitchen ah I love it
18:21this is a thumbs up from Greg oh yeah it's got a range it has it's I'll be honest it's
18:29not my sort of kitchen
18:30it's definitely my sort of kitchen I love it what don't you like about it
18:35I am all for practicalities yeah I am all for things hidden away not on show because I just think
18:43dust
18:45okay forget what you see look at the walls look at the space could you put in the kitchen of
18:50your dreams here
18:51oh I'm sure we could so that's that might be the compromise we've got the P's but I'm going to
18:55give you a small C
18:56compromise if the kitchen's the only compromise the house is winning everywhere else a grand dining
19:05room sets the scene for family Sunday lunches while a separate study offers a quieter retreat
19:11and on the first floor lie three of the properties five bedrooms which Carol and Greg are exploring by themselves
19:19it's a huge bedroom oh nice oh it's so light in here the windows to the side in the front
19:25the double aspect
19:26can you imagine you and dad having this as your bedroom this this this is amazing as our bedroom
19:31and look at that for you look at that for you out your bedroom window oh my gosh you can
19:36see the sea
19:36yes yes this is amazing that's nice isn't it all the bedrooms on this floor are generously sized
19:43and they're served by a shower room as well as an even larger family bathroom on the second floor
19:51are the remaining two bedrooms connected by a spacious studio
19:55oh my word this is huge oh my word huge wow oh look look at this
20:06oh nice breeze hi Nikki we're up here hello it's amazing i'm slightly worried that when we come to visit
20:20mum's going to charge us rent to stay you know what Greg i think she'll give you very favourable rates
20:26things seem to be going so well the pair want to share it with frank
20:31show in the front room
20:35oh i say this would be our posh room i think
20:38yeah that's nice isn't it thumbs up big thumbs up dad
20:42that's two out of two so far in very different ways
20:45and if the house wasn't big enough on its own
20:48in the grounds is a former coach house and cow shed
20:51now a self-contained two-bed annex

24:48that was
24:49that was
25:06wales is known for offering good value to home buyers and this corner of the country is no exception
25:12across the uk the average price for detached home is around 441 thousand pounds
25:18but in keredigian that drops to a little over 294 thousand
25:24pembroke share comes in a little higher at just over 319 thousand pounds
25:32we've gathered a selection of homes that really showcase the quality of property available in this region
25:38first time buyers could snatch up this attractive terrace which is smart and cosy inside
25:44with an open plan living space and two bedrooms
25:47the private garden is fully enclosed and it's available for offers in the region of 175 thousand pounds
25:55this detached four bedroom country home has been sympathetically renovated with a stylish kitchen and a modern single storey extension
26:04at the rear
26:04it's currently accepting offers in excess of four hundred and seventy five thousand pounds
26:10the area is also ideal for a rural getaway and this peaceful cabin sits beside a lake on a fifteen
26:18hundred acre farm
26:19it sleeps three with the double bed that boasts of you you'll never forget with prices starting at one hundred
26:26ninety eight pounds for a two night stay
26:34it is the start of a brand new day
26:36and we're going to take carol away from the comfort of the coast
26:40to the cambrian mountains where we're going to show her and greg a mystery house
26:45but first let's start with a property that begins with a big fat p p for practical
26:53we're starting our day in northwest keredigian on the outskirts of the village of
26:58chandre is a short walk to the neighboring village of bow street where there's a post office a shop
27:05and two welcoming pubs and here just two miles from the sweeping white sands awaits our next property
27:17so here we have something very different for you today yes i do like that style do you yes yes
27:24this house gives you convenience not just for now but also for the future yeah that's the one thing
27:30sort of we're thinking of just giving you different options yeah should we take a step inside please
27:35let's do so this substantial detached home built in 1936 is a fine example of interwar architecture
27:45inside period features abound including timber sash windows this is nice and original oak flooring
27:54so step inside oh wow this is this is very homely actually it's quite similar to how yours is at
28:01home as well
28:01well let's see what you make of this first room reception room oh look at this another double aspect room
28:07oh yeah i think i do love double aspect rooms yeah looking out of that window that bay window oh
28:13yeah
28:14you get such amazing views yes you can just see the colours turning which i love
28:19yeah lovely surely it's your cup of tea beautiful floorboards love it
28:23it's exactly it is your style style house is it yes it is
28:28across the hallway on the ground floor is a bright second reception room
28:32whilst the dining room next door leads into the kitchen
28:37very nice now this is a lot like you've got it set up at home with the open kitchen straight
28:42into the
28:42dining area yeah the breakfast bar isn't there but that's not a big issue
28:46this is definitely frank and me family would visit would they visit as often
28:53um and for as long i don't know i don't know good points now i have a dilemma in my
29:00head you have
29:01this amazing house here for the two of you or we've shown you different types of property which really
29:07works for the extended family with little ones adventure yes you know camps in the garden definitely
29:13yes yeah i can see where you're coming from
29:18i'm going to leave carol and greg to explore upstairs independently
29:21where they'll find the property's four bedrooms and two bathrooms
29:25oh yes oh i love the corner window again and there's a balcony again double aspects
29:31yeah i i feel like you and dad this would be your room but if you want to give it
29:35up
29:35this would be our room oh look at the view i know all the way through the hills there you
29:41got there
29:41and wow this is this is a lovely room and a lovely shower room i'm confused how this all fits
29:49upstairs
29:49i agree i love the feel of the house yeah i love the style of the house i love the
29:55age of the house
29:57there's just something not it's not my jar of jam
30:03perhaps the outside space could compensate for anything carol feels is lacking in the property
30:08itself the garden covers a third of an acre with the south facing veranda and balcony along the front
30:15of the house offering panoramic views over the surrounding countryside of course it's best enjoyed
30:21on a summer's day when the sun is shining or not in our case we have been so lucky with
30:29the weather
30:30yeah i'm sorry it's raining i've mentioned how gorgeous the countryside is but you actually own
30:36a little bit as well with this house because if you just look over your shoulder oh my goodness
30:41there's seven acres seven acres seven acres the other thing is you can negotiate if you don't want
30:47it perhaps you can negotiate with the owners with land there's always people that want to rent it
30:53so it's given you something to think about hasn't it me throwing it around it has it has so should
30:59put a price on it then seven acres has made that a lot harder hasn't it yes that has just
31:04that that's
31:05made it so difficult i got a price in my mind but it does put a different aspect to the
31:11whole house
31:12i will go seven hundred and ten thousand okay seven hundred ten thousand pounds i'm gonna come
31:19in lower for once and say six hundred and fifty thousand pounds interesting asking price is
31:26seven hundred and twenty five thousand all right that could be because the land you see land it is
31:32land i mean that house is beautiful great house seven two five i can see why it's that price yeah
31:37i i can
31:38totally see it um particularly you know the seven acres 25 000 pounds under budget this detached 1930s
31:47home is in turnkey condition making it a convenient option for carol and her husband it comes with four
31:54bedrooms a large garden and the perhaps surprise bonus of over seven acres of land included in the sale
32:02it's lovely looking around a house like this where you can see that someone's loved to live in here
32:06and takes really good care of it and it is absolutely stunning i think it would be a perfect
32:12house in 10 maybe 15 years time for you but right now i think what you're after is something more
32:19adventurous than this house would give you this house would be perfect for us if you all live closer
32:26yeah just unfortunately for us because the family living so far away it's not the right house
32:33at the right time yes
32:43we're remaining in the county of keredigian traveling to the countryside around the village
32:48of pont rydvan diggai our destination is located 12 miles inland swapping coastal paths for peaceful
32:57pastoral ones it is mystery house time and my goodness this one really speaks for itself it owns
33:05the word mystery deep in the cambrian mountains it's by far the most secluded setting we've seen to date
33:15a wonderful property a real mix of the old and the new with eco credentials in the most amazing of
33:23locations but i wonder what carol and greg are going to make of it finding a property to suit carol
33:31greg the
33:32mysterious frank and the grandchildren has been no small task but this home feels like a retreat the whole
33:39family could enjoy welcome to an incredible mystery house it's amazing i feel sick oh no that wasn't what i
33:53was hoping for it is frank's house too yeah dad would love without a shadow of doubt oh really
33:59middle of nowhere no neighbors out of my comfort zone it's no neighbors anywhere greg what do you think i
34:05love it this is what i'm here for i want to look at houses like this unbelievable landscape like the
34:12slate in the hills you feel like the history of the place here then like we say dad would love
34:17this
34:18let's start off inside the property and then we can we can explore around as well
34:25this stone cottage is thought to date back to the 19th century extensions over the years have made the
34:31most of the views while also creating a cozy and inviting family space oh nice this is my kitchen
34:40diner isn't it might be frank's outside space this is my inside space that is lovely lovely that's
34:47that's your taste isn't it this is and you have the eco credentials as well yeah underfloor heating in
34:52this part you know we saw didn't we the solar thermals and the solar panels for your heating electricity
34:59tea you're overwhelmed aren't you i am yes i'm feeling extremely emotional in lots of different
35:06ways this is a beautiful kitchen and there's just so much going on but at the minute i can't get
35:13my
35:14head around everything let's see what you make of down the stairs and if the kitchen wasn't impressive
35:21enough oh my word look at this come on in look this would be where we would choose to go
35:29on holiday
35:30and this is like a permanent holiday isn't it oh that view okay can you see why we brought you
35:36here
35:36oh definitely because as a mystery house i would never have looked at it i would have just thought
35:40this is far too rural but then you're in here and actually your whole view can change look at that
35:48you certainly give me rural living we have should carol tire of the view there's also a smaller snug
35:55to curl up in next door to that is a study which could be repurposed as a fourth bedroom if
36:02carol
36:02needed more than the three that are available upstairs so that's definitely a guest double in there
36:09and then this is this is number one bedroom oh yeah very nicely done good size good size room look
36:19at
36:19this gregs they've even got a living roof there started to grow there that is amazing there's just
36:26so much thought going into this house everything they're all things that you and dad like though none
36:30of it's out of character for you no you could carry on that the solar panels are right up your
36:35street
36:36though the cottage proportions upstairs are modest there's no shortage of space overall
36:42well this looks interesting yeah it's only bigger than my house on its own
36:47a stone barn in the grounds brings two further bedrooms and a shower room into the mix
36:53oh this is right this is this is the game changer in a way because i was thinking we didn't
37:00have
37:00enough bedrooms for you visiting so greg and carol are having time to look around on their own but
37:06let's remind ourselves of the p list shall we and i think this house has it all petra tick
37:14parking definite tick privacy i don't need to say anything do i on that one tick tick tick
37:21paths a plenty how many miles do you need tick panels we know there are solar panels here tick and
37:29the final one peace a huge tick i'm actually going to drop in one last p and that's projects because
37:42there's a huge workshop that's bound to keep frank busy the seven acre garden also includes orchards
37:48plus poly tunnels and plenty of woodland so you've probably noticed as you've walked around
37:55you could be semi self-sufficient here oh yes i saw there's even a charging point for an electric car
38:01which you and dad have wanted haven't we haven't got one yet but yes yes they've got everything
38:06hit you yeah yeah let's try and put a price then on this mystery house yeah it is hard yeah
38:13i'm gonna
38:13go loads of money well all of it's loads of money isn't it 750 000 i was gonna say the
38:22same but
38:24only because i think oh you're always quite kind and that you don't show people something they can't
38:30afford so i'm gonna say it probably is on something like 760 but you know they're willing to accept
38:36750. you know us quite well don't you yes you're not quite on the money but the asking price is
38:43775 000
38:46we've been very very honest with them and they are very happy to have a conversation knowing that
38:52your budget is 750 000 yes yeah yes yeah 25 000 pounds over budget but with room to negotiate
39:01this extended cottage combines traditional features with modern comfort there are four
39:07bedrooms in the main house two in the self-contained annex and seven acres of gardens complete with
39:14workshop and woodland it's hard to think frank and i being custodians of this place am i up to it
39:21am i
39:21good enough for it well you said that about the second property reviewed and this one you and dad both
39:28definitely are good enough to live in a place like this you deserve to live in a place like this
39:31you've worked hard your whole life you've put so much love into everything you do now why don't you
39:36and dad move on to the next stage in your life enjoy that part of your life start thinking about
39:41yourself and stop stop worrying about other people yes yes i mean listen to the birds again i know
39:50and actually i can hear the water as well you yeah it might not be the sea but a river's
39:56just as nice
39:58oh
40:09we've seen four spectacular homes in pembrokeshire and keredigian so let's find out if any of them are worth
40:16a second look it has been an incredible few days hasn't it emotional i'm gonna add absolutely i mean
40:25i'm an emotional person anyway but uh yes it's been extremely emotional a bit such a lovely
40:30experience thank you so would it be fair to say out of everything that we've seen yes there's two
40:36properties that were the favorites yes i've always loved double fronted georgian house and then you
40:45showed me that with the second one and i was blown away by it it was big which is a
40:50bit of a slight
40:51concern but definitely going to go there for a second viewing are you yes definitely she kept
40:57that quiet did you know this i i did know this i've kept it quiet too you have and also
41:02the mystery
41:03house that that that we saw i'm going to say to frank we need to go and look at that
41:07tomorrow as well
41:08greg when we went to the coastal property your mum felt it was a little bit too grand for her
41:15that
41:15she didn't deserve to live in a house like that why do you think that is i think mum thinks
41:21of other
41:22people before herself and she puts other people first always i don't know exactly why you don't
41:27think you're worth a house like that but i think you are and i know frankie and kathy and my
41:31brother
41:31and sister both think you are so if that's anything to go by then you deserve you deserve a palace
41:44yes i'm going to take that away from this that you deserve a palace because i think you do i
41:50mean
41:50it has been amazing thank you for embracing everything that we've shown you but equally
41:55we're wishing you all the best for this next exciting chapter with all the wonderful family as
42:02well and when they come to stay for the full six weeks don't blame us how does that sound that
42:08sounds wonderful and you're welcome to visit us any time when we are settled into our new deal well
42:14thank you deal and as we end i have got to say i have loved showing carol and greg around
42:25these
42:25beautiful parts of wales and we can't forget mysterious frank can we and in a way we can
42:32chalk it up as a win-win the coastal property for carol versus the cambrian mountain property for frank
42:38and whichever one they choose we know it's going to be right not just for the two of them
42:43but for their whole family as well carol returned to both the coastal property and the mystery house
42:51with husband frank and whilst they loved aspects of both properties they're still waiting to sell their
42:56current home before being able to proceed further we wish them all the best with their move
