00:04Seeing an 18-wheeler on the road is nothing special, but how about an 18-wheeled vehicle
00:08in the backcountry? This is what Finnish tech company 18wheels has developed, what is essentially
00:14an 18-wheeled motorcycle, capable of moving over nearly any terrain with ease. Each of the vehicle's
00:19wheels has its own suspension system, meaning it's able to not only move over ground without
00:23losing traction, but can also maintain its speed while doing so, which the 18-wheelers inventor,
00:28Elder Aliyev says he doesn't believe any other vehicle on the planet has that capability,
00:33explaining,
00:34Our all-terrain vehicle is able to overcome large obstacles at high speed, I mean rocks up
00:38to 35 centimeters high, fallen trees, curbs, and even stairs. Right now, that means speeds
00:44upwards of 18 miles per hour, but he's confident that will increase as the prototype is improved
00:48in the future. What's more, the 18-wheeler is also less destructive to the environment compared
00:52to traditional ATVs. Not only is it all electric, but its number of wheels prevents it from digging
00:57into the earth as deeply, meaning it leaves less damage in its wake.
