Tesda, beverage company partner to empower women in bartending

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Women Center (TWC) and global beverage company Diageo Philippines ink a partnership to upskill and empower women seeking to enter the bartending industry. Nok Laohaphan, general manager of Diageo Philippines, on June 3, 2026 highlighted the passion and talent of Filipino bartenders but emphasized the need for greater access to training opportunities for aspiring bartenders to develop globally competitive skills.

00:21Specifically, it aims to promote and develop high-skilled UBIT graduates
00:25whose competencies are aligned with industry standards and workforce demands,
00:30through Diageo-led master classes and specialized learning engagements,
00:35and collaboratively support the growth, advancement, and sustainable development
00:39of the Philippine Bartending Division.
00:43Both parties agreed to undertake the following.
00:46Enhance the existing training curriculum and modules of Bartending NC2
00:51to ensure industry relevance and quality.
00:54Facilitate the sharing and processing of personal data of trainees and graduates,
00:59and provide assistance and support to selected graduates
01:02in securing employment or livelihood opportunities.
