00:00Weird angle frets so I can do my chords a little bit better. We don't have like
00:04pedals on stage. Everything is broken from front to back.
00:33Hey what's up people it's me Manuel Fernandez from the band called Unprocessed and today
00:39we are in Chicago in a venue I've never been in so this is going to be super exciting.
00:46We're currently promoting our newest record called Angel that we put out last year in
00:50October and yeah today I will show you some guitars that I'm using for the current shorter.
00:57So first things first obviously my go-to guitar is my signature Ibanez MGF-M10 and this
01:09guitar was released oh my goodness one and a half years ago so yeah it's my first ever
01:17signature guitar I'm very proud of it. Ibanez own pickups in here Q58 you know
01:25weird angle frets so I can do my chords a little bit better. 24 frets because you
01:30know I like to use the whole range of a guitar it's tuned to E standard and we
01:39have you know a five way switch in here with a call tap so I can use tons of
01:45variety when it comes to tones. Tone up, volume up pretty easy obviously it's headless because
01:54Ibanez during that time was promoting the Q series and I made it I made it you know my
02:01goal was to make the Q series to look very cool you know so we have the gold and the
02:10black obviously
02:11because I'm just a huge fan of gold and black and Tomo my Ibanez NR he got the idea with
02:18the red
02:19so yeah it's just you know it is kind of like an old-school guitar vintage meets modern way I
02:26really
02:27like that I really like the color scheme yeah I just love the guitar so shout out to Ibanez.
02:32So for strings since 2019 which was my first endorsement is Daddario. Normal six string set from 9 to 46
02:44I'm used that I'm using these strings for like every six string guitar for eight string guitar I'm using
02:529 to 80 sometimes 10 to 80 uh yeah it's all NYXL's Daddario. All right next one would be
03:02my beautiful custom eight string guitar it's based on of that one right here um so it's pretty much the
03:09same model but it's like a little bit customized when it comes to colors and pickups we got Dimarzios in
03:15here and um three-way tap with a coil switch so we're having that strat sound in the eight string
03:25guitars
03:25which is pretty much needed for my tone for my sound um yeah nothing special it's
03:32just a normal RG eight string but you know customized for me we have these uh lock continuos
03:40right here um so it's really really easy and not complicated to work with it's easy like it's
03:48really not that heavy as well so like I can do my thing on stage um the idea behind that
03:54guitar was
03:55um pretty much only the gold thing because I really love gold and um yeah they uh were so kind
04:02to send it to me I was maybe like two and a half or three years ago so strings we
04:07got NYXL's Daddario
04:08again from 10 or 9 to 80 that one is probably 90 uh tuning should be for that one e
04:18b e a d g b e shows like
04:23normal tuned and live we're just pitching it down uh for the specific song that one is the uh
04:32first eight string that I'm gonna assembly after being an Ibanez artist so I'm currently using that
04:40pretty much the same setup I'm using that for as a backup but that one is also like tuned F
04:45sharp
04:46and then standard so sometimes I'm using that for the last song which is terrestrial which is in that
04:52tuning okay so the newest one to my touring edition is that beautiful new AZ
05:01uh but Ebenez it's just very beautiful that one is super heavy though um it if I'm not lying like
05:09I think this is ash so yeah that one I just got right before tour so I haven't had the
05:14chance to swap
05:15uh you know the pickups uh with DiMarzio's because I want DiMarzio's in there but uh maybe I'll have the
05:22chance somewhere actually so that guitar just uh came out this year uh the 2026 rendition uh one of the
05:29used Az's um also pretty standard uh E A D G B E standard tuning uh 9 to 46 N1
05:41XL's the Darius
05:43luckily I can decide whenever I want to switch guitars so that one I'm using for the more like
05:51single chordly strat sounding songs like thrash beyond heaven skates you know a little bit more of the
06:00hindi indie kind of things you know I'm saying um my mgfm10 i'm using for the songs that are fast
06:09and really heavy to play because it's so convenient to play like dad rose you know where i'm doing like
06:15the tapping harmonic stuff and a dark sound complete um so yeah so mgfm10 is for like all the very
06:23technical
06:24difficult songs. My custom-made string I'm using for like every string song and
06:31except the last one because the last one is in a different tuning so I'm using
06:36the last one for terrestrial at the end of set. That's pretty much about it but
06:42we have something special that we haven't done before and I'm going to show
06:47you what I mean. So Ibanez was super kind to like send us these beautiful nylon
06:57guitars for our VIP. So what we're doing like is we are playing two songs in the
07:06VIP with nylon you know yeah they feel great it's just like an electric guitar
07:12but nylon strings. Standard tuning. I actually don't know what strings are on
07:19there right now. Hopefully D'Addario's nylon strings but I don't know. We have like in a
07:28tuning system and like a volume and treble and a bass knob for here so it's
07:32like really convenient to like you know got this tune with mute so this is
07:39really nice you can even switch the face in here you know yeah so we are
07:45currently in our life rig station right now so this is our gear this is our rig
07:52Max probably knows all about it but what I can tell you is that we are using
07:58wireless system obviously you know we're using the Cortex mainly for everything we
08:05do you know tone wise. What we did is I just released my plug-in the mix wave so we
08:17captured the mix wave tone into the Cortex so we pretty much have the tone and also
08:25you shout out to Kion who did the life tones for it it's it's amazing we basically
08:32have every song in here you know every song and with like heavy rhythm lead clean
08:46octave heavy like pretty much everything we need thrash same here so it's really
08:52convenient it's really easy everything goes through MIDI so we don't have like
08:56pedals on stage everything is programmed from front to back lights sounds
09:01effects automations and you know that rig helps to get the sound and get it
09:09delivered how we want that so we are using I just have that one but like
09:15customize some process pics and sometimes when the time is right I'll do some funny
09:21games with the audience just like hiding a pic somewhere in the venue so the
09:25thickness is like either 0.75 or 0.8 so it's kind of like you know flexible
09:33because I just like it to you know to be more progressive so our in-ear
09:41providers are it is a company called RH from Germany and they're doing this
09:48beautiful beautiful optics and they sound super crisp so shout out to these guys
09:54yeah that was everything I use for my life set up so shout out to Ivan and
10:01shout out to Dario shout out to our H in years so we are working with them for the
10:07first time on this tour so they're amazing shout out to neural also shout out to
10:12clots cables and sure for providing us with the stuff we need
10:43kind of these folks that are very much going to love you for the reason to
10:44watch out for you know that I love you as well
10:44is just kind of a huge problem
10:47so there's not the fuck we can do
10:48about what we want to do
10:48we want to be in that
10:49that we need them to be said
10:49we need them to be
10:49to be
10:49about
10:49what we need
10:49to be
