00:00I'm going to give my top five, five through one, on the best free agent pickups in my lifetime
00:07in the NBA. Let's break it down. Number five on my list, LeBron to the Cavs. And you have to
00:15remember that was the Sports Illustrated article and he announced it. I'm coming home. This in
00:21terms of free agent signing was absolutely phenomenal. Number four on my list, LeBron
00:27going to Miami. And I think sometimes this gets lost in the shuffle sometimes because
00:35LeBron had that dopey dance off. That to me is number four on my list when it comes to
00:42best free agent signing of my lifetime in the NBA. Number three is Jalen Brunson. I don't agree with
00:50Chuck, at least right now, but I'm even going to assume when I put Jalen Brunson number three,
00:56because I'm picking the Knicks to win a championship. And I mean this as the ultimate
01:00compliment. Third on the list because Kevin Durant's number two. And I think people forget
01:08about Durant or don't give Durant the credit because at the end of the day, people like
01:13to just bang on Kevin Durant. Kevin Durant was not a hood ornament on those teams. He was
01:19the best player. He was the finals MVP twice. Not Steph, Kevin Durant. So I will absolutely put
01:27Durant number two on my list. And number one will always and forever be Shaquille O'Neal.
01:33And it's important to jog the mental Rolodex on what Shaq was in Orlando. And he was larger than life.
01:42And he was an icon. He's doing Shazam. And he was Hollywood. And he's breaking backboards and
01:48everything that goes into the mix. Like that was one of those offseason moves where I remember where
01:53I was when Shaq signed with the LA Lakers. That was the late great Jerry West getting that done.
02:00Just unbelievable stuff.
