Pearl Abyss has revealed its post-launch roadmap for Crimson Desert, including a future DLC expansion, new combat-focused content, and major quality-of-life improvements.

Most notably, the studio is planning to improve the game's story—widely considered its weakest aspect—by refining key scenes and strengthening the narrative flow of Kliff's journey.

Players can also expect updates to the Re-Blockade system, better rewards, cross-save support across platforms, and expanded trading and farming activities.

00:00Crimson Desert's story, its weakest link, to get a fix as Pearl Abyss lines up DLC and new combat
00:06content. Let's be real here for a moment. The story in Crimson Desert has confusing pacing,
00:12awkward transition, and unclear character motivations. Even a blind person could see
00:17these problems. And this news comes as a bit of surprise, because if I remember correctly,
00:22Pearl Abyss said they wouldn't do a lot when it comes to fixing the overall story.
00:26Well, apparently, they will do something. And it's all about looking at key scenes and trying to
00:32improve how Cliff's journey is presented. That pretty much tells me they recognize the criticism
00:37was widespread enough that it's affecting the game's reputation. Personally, I wouldn't expect
00:42a complete narrative overhaul. And if you didn't really like the core plot, these changes probably
00:48won't make you suddenly love it. But I suppose credit where credit is due. They are trying to
00:54make it better. So there is that. Overall, this sounds like a decent roadmap because they are
00:58improving the weakest parts of the game and will continue quality of life updates. And that's
01:04pretty much exactly what you would want to hear from any developer.
