USC Trojans Wide Receiver Corey Simms discusses what has elevated him as a player. Simms talks about how he has grown as a complete player by watching some of the older guys and them showing him the ropes.

00:00How's the first stretch of spring camp going?
00:03Spring camp been going good, started off fast.
00:06Got to see a lot of the young guys come in, got to compete with everybody.
00:09It's just been fun so far, it's been working.
00:11When you look back to a year ago,
00:14where do you think you've come the furthest as a player?
00:16I feel like I've grown as a complete player.
00:19And that came by watching guys like Jacoby Lane and Makai Lemon.
00:24They have been amazing, showing me the ropes and
00:27being able to get out there and do everything.
00:29Special teams played a big part in that, too.
00:31Helped me get on the field and learn the basis of everything.
00:34Now we're just on the road.
00:35What was the biggest thing you picked up from us to help you in Makai?
00:39A limb led by example.
00:41Just doing what you do, seeing him work every day,
00:44just pushed me to be better as a player and as a person in general.
00:48And Jac, just a dog, just showing me the ropes.
00:50Like came in on my back, it's all love at the end of the day.
00:57That's a part of what he's doing,
00:58and he's doing that before I offer me.
00:58And he's doing something like that.
