00:02Odell Beckham Jr. has signed with the New York Giants.
00:05The Post reported that Beckham was expected to be part of a group of NFL vet receivers
00:10like Juju Smith-Schuster, who played recently under new offense coordinator Matt Nagy in
00:15Kansas City, former Jet Braxton Berrios, and Anthony Miller, but now it's official.
00:22But are the Giants signing Odell for nostalgia, or can the once most talented and entertaining
00:28receiver to ever put on blue at some much-needed production to an already banged-up wide receiver
00:35room?
00:35They teased us about a month ago when they had him come in for a workout on April 20th,
00:41but they didn't sign him immediately.
00:43But with Malik Nabors' ACL recovery and Darius Slayton's sports hernia surgery forcing them
00:49to already sit out for OTAs, another door was open for a return when receiver and kick returner
00:56Gunnar Olszewski sustained a torn right Achilles tendon last Friday.
01:00Now, our Giants beat writer for The Post, Paul Schwartz, reported that the franchise was
01:06already planning to add another receiver, and coincidentally, OBJ was already in the area
01:12for Brian Burns' charity softball game, and I asked him about a potential return.
01:18I think you just rely on the things you always relied on, which is my faith, and you know,
01:23God has placed a special purpose and journey for me, and just being able to spend that time
01:29away just made me realize some things, you know, I left some things unfinished, so hopefully
01:36we'll see what he got working out.
01:37You can tell by all of the love that he got at the softball event from the media, from
01:45the fans, from both the current and former players, that people want him back.
01:51But there is a minority of media and ex-NFL players who have questioned how effective this
01:57guy could be.
01:58I mean, he was out of the NFL last season after being handed a six-game suspension for PEDs,
02:04and he hasn't played in a game since December of 2024, before he was released by the Miami
02:10Dolphins.
02:12Now, the Giants hired John Harbaugh back in January to take over the franchise, who luckily
02:18for number 13, they spent the 2023 season together in Baltimore, and he's called the three-time
02:25pro bowler, one of my very favorite people in the world.
02:29Now look, he's everybody's favorite in the Tri-States.
02:32He once took over the league and was one of the most dangerous and dynamic receivers to
02:38ever suit up, but that was years ago.
02:40He's been hit with injuries in recent seasons, and his top 550 receiving yards in just one
02:47season since 2020.
02:48That was in Baltimore.
02:50But don't worry, I asked him if he still had some juice left in the tank, and if he had
02:55a message to all the people out there that's doubting his return.
03:00For anybody out there that questions if OBJ still got it, what would you say to them?

03:07The Giants are back on the field for OTAs this week, and then they wrap up their spring
03:12workouts next week before heading to West Virginia for training camp.
